Involuntarily, as a result of her interview comments, wishing for the death penalty. The interview was planned on Sunday to occur if the verdict resulted in M1. It is thought that she had a clear motive for doing so. (perhaps reverse psychology, another opportunity to trash TA). Most don't believe being thrown in the psych ward was part of her plan though.

I don't doubt she will try something else. Fortunately she is being evaluated by professionals, instead of hired guns.

Thanks. I'm wondering if JA planned this jail psych ward thing. Here is a transcript of her voicemail to Haydon:

full transcript of the call:

Jodi Arias: Hi Troy. Jodi Arias. Umm, it’s Sunday.

I just wanted to let you know… umm, you know, a deal is a deal kind of thing, but I regret saying that. But, I’m a person of my word, so I’ll keep our deal. Umm, but, I also wanted to let you know, if for some reason the jury comes back with first degree, just come down to the jail.

Because I’m not sure how things are going to go … well, I have an idea but I don’t want to wait. So… umm, we tend to get back from court around 6, 6:30, so if the jail… you’re going to be down that way, and that’s cool, we can go forward. Umm, if it’s second degree or less, I will wait ‘til after sentencing.

But if it’s first degree, for some reason, it’ll come right away, but like I said if it’s second degree or less, we’ll wait ‘til after. So, that’s that…. Take care. Bye.

BBM

That sentence was redundant in the context of her telling Haydon when to visit her for an interview. It reads to me like she was pretty sure she'd get M1 and had a plan (idea) in that case i.e. the psych ward.

Everything JA does is calculated!

"Arias told" :floorlaugh:

KN can't stand JA imo. If he really said she has no mitigating factors, it wouldn't be surprising. KW will save the day for her BFF by providing mitigating factors. :floorlaugh:

Sounds to me like JA is trying to set the stage for an in-effective counsel appeal with the "no mitigating factors" comment, along with other comments she's made about her defense team.

I bet her mitigation specialist nearly fainted when she realized she is going to actually have to work, instead of sitting around showing cleavage, being JA's message mule, and playing truth or dare with Jodi.

What is she going to do when they come to the conclusion that she is perfectly well. She cant pull that card again shame

If she still tries to act crazy, I'm hoping for something like this:

IMO The comment about wishing for the death penalty was to give the impression that she was suicidal and/or resigned to her fate. She is neither. She always has some angle she is working, and will continue to do so until the day she dies.

Here is the problem. She thinks she is smarter than anyone else in the room, so she thinks she can outsmart the professionals that are evaluating her.

I agree, I think the interview was planned but I also think she wanted to go to the psych ward. In her own twisted mind she is working on story #4. This is where she turns on her defense attorneys, claim she did not receive adequate counsel, the defense expert witnesses were basically stupid and they were all wrong in their evaluations of her. She has studied for years and she knows exactly what to say to be put into the psych ward. She planned everything she wanted to say in that interview, a long time ago.

I think her plan is something like this -- the psycho ward stint clearly shows I have mental issues and I would have been able to plead temporary insanity but because I didn't know any better because I have a mental illness and improper defense counsel, it isn't fair. Now since I am being evaluated by professionals, I will make them believe I have bouts on insanity, it will be documented and used in my next trial, when I plead temporary insanity.

I'm not saying this is plausible in the real world but it is in her mind.

Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day to all who are.

Wake me, I would LOVE for her to be wheeled in like Hannibal!

OT but I wanna wish all the Mommys, soon-to-be Mommys, Grandmas and Great-Grandmas, a Happy Mothers Day!!!

Kavonna is a troll. Confirmed apparently by Donavan and JA fam of all people on the "pro" site.
