((((((hugs))))))

That must have been unbearable. :( Nothing worse than your child being so sick.

I had cancer many, many years ago and would sometimes be in the room when a child was being given chemo. When I read about Rosemary Pierce's son, it takes me back to those days. We would all have gladly taken the chemo for the kid and we didn't even know him. I can't imagine what it's like when it's your own child.

I am a brain cancer survivor, also!(yeah....waving my white flag.) Like I said in my previous post... I cant even bring myself to comment on her posts, I just feel so horrible for her and her son...

Hi Rosemary :seeya: (in tears now)

Heather and Curious, I am so sorry you had to endure that! I cannot imagine going through that. My kids are my heart and soul. Nothing hurts more than watching your child suffer. Hugs and prayers of gratitude that you all came through that :)

Thank you. I don't think I ever hurt like that before or since. But I do have friends that have lost a son or daughter to illness or accident and I don't even know how they go forward. It has to rip your heart out.

If she gets the DP, she will immediately waive all of her appeals because she wants her " freedom" sooner than later. Pffffffffft.

Uhm Hm ... and then monkeys will fly outta' my butt.

VERY GOOD read on the emotional impact on the Jury deciding the Life or Death phase of the Wendy Andriano, 34, case that Juan Martinez successfully prosecuted for the State of Arizona in 2005. Andriano was eventually given the Death Penalty.

Thanks for that...good read indeed. I'm curious as to whether the senior citizen holdout was against the death penalty in general, or just in this case? B/c I thought they were supposed to be death-qualified for the jury, but it seems like this guy just opposed the death penalty in general. In that case, he should have never been on the jury. There are a few older people on this jury, so I'm interested to see how that will go.

Also interesting where they said they didn't want to leave open the possibility that the judge would give her life with parole. I thought with Murder 1, it's automatically life without parole?

O/T...I had a chance meeting with Sheriff Joe several years ago. I was in Phoenix visiting a friend. We were in a restaurant talking about what we were going to do and see. I made the remark how I would love to see the tent camp. My friend said we could 'drive out that way.' But she doubted we could really see anything. The conversation of course went to Sheriff Joe. I said I would love to meet him and shake his hand. I think he is awesome and does it his way. About 5 minutes later my friend suddenly looked at me, her eyes as big as saucers and her mouth was open. The next thing I knew someone tapped me on the shoulder, I turned and there was Sheriff Joe, with a half smile on his face.....I took on the same face as my friend had shown just seconds earlier....eyes wide, mouth open and frozen in place. He stuck his hand out and said Hi, I am Joe Arpaio. Welcome to Phoenix. I nearly passed out. I told him I was honored to meet him...he said , 'so I heard.' He told us to enjoy our visit and turned around and walked out of the restaurant. We never tried to find tent city! :floorlaugh:

I feel the same way about him no matter what bad people have to say say. It's time to take back. These criminals just have to many damn rights and privledges.

I do not believe age, whether you are 25 or 75, has anything to do with your beliefs on the death penalty.

I am so glad that your daughter is doing well! Sadly, Emma passed away two years ago at 9 years old. She lived a very happy life, despite all the things that were happening to her little body.

I read about Rosemary's son, and it brings tears to my eyes. I remember those days of living in the hospital... I cant bring myself to post to her because I just don't have the words that adequately express my mama's heart..

Tears...I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine. God bless you, I'm amazed at how strong you are.

Good morning all :seeya:

I was just going through Twitter on the TravisAlexander1 page and I found this little gem....

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BFHJCyfCEAEVA9X.jpg:large

please let me know if it actually takes you to the pic.... if not, I will post in a message.

Thoughts??? Who is that in the pic? (Her sister?) and is that REALLY her posting that comment?

Someone asked about JA's appeals, I can't remember who.

Wendi Elizabeth Andriano was foung guilty on November 18, 2004. Given the DP on December 22, 2004.

On July 9, 2007, the Arizona Supreme Court upheld the conviction on appeal

So not that long between conviction and appeal being rejected.

Interesting information - thanks! I wonder if Arias understands that the appeal process doesn't mean that she gets a roomful of fresh faces to manipulate but that a bunch of legal scholars are going to read transcripts? The way she's behaving with the media she seems not to get it.

Please tell me someone else caught that bit on Dr. Drew last night with another one of Travis' buddies. The guy was talking about TA telling him he wanted to get rid of Jodi, and they went to some PPL thing for a "Arias-Free weekend". The guy is going through pictures of Travis years later and notices HER in the background with a big ole smile!
Holy Snikes, it was SO creepy!
If you have ever seen "The Grudge" that is what it made me think of.
When Sarah Michelle Gellar is going through all those pics of Bill Pullmans character with that creepy stalker/soon to be ghost in the background of every single one! :scared: *SHIVERS*

There's been much criticism about the reporter Troy who interviewed JA. I totally disagree. Nancy Grace does not let her guests speak & brings every comment back to herself, usually whilst near to hysteria. The best thing Troy did is to let her talk & hang herself & she did that beautifully, giving JM plenty ammunition for the next phase. She repeated her accusations, but all that did is reinforce she is unrepentant & made everyone dislike her even more. If he had gone in all guns blazing she would have shut down & played the victim.

-------------

Years ago my neighbors little three year old used to take off everything but her shoes and run down the street! :floorlaugh: we'd run after her, not pedos just wanted to catch the girl!:scared:

:seeya:

Oh my gosh! Were you my neighbor? My youngest liked to do that too! I run into those neighbors from time to time, and they always bring up the fact that Jennifer was the neighborhood streaker! Everybody took it for what it was.....cute! Nothing pedo about it, just cute childish behavior.

I am sitting here waiting to see if i am on a jury for a murder
Trial....
Whats a girl to do??

Thinking more about that post conviction interview:

Obviously she shows no remorse, nor any taking of responsibility, we all got that. Something else stuck out in my mind. The part where she said something to the effect that she hopes Travis' family can find peace, THEN she says something like "They can remember him the way they want to." WTH? That stuck out in my mind.

Sort of gives you a reasoning in her mind for the murder. She was jealous, he told her it was over, he was looking for a good Morman girl to marry, she was not it. She had it in her mind that she put in all this work to get him, to pretend to be all that she was not, to run other women out of his life, she was going to be the "good Morman wife" and she was not going to let anyone ever think his choice was anyone but her. Appearances are her only motivation for doing just about anything, including these self promoting interviews. She wanted the world to think he wanted to marry her. Hence the ring too. She didn't care if the world thought strangers killed him, ex-gf's killed him, nothing mattered but that appearance that she was his choice for a good wife, and that she can go on fooling herself with that thought and telling it to any and all. How messed up is that thought process? Maybe I need more coffee.

Oh the movie (A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story) is so scary! She snooped, stalked, damaged her ex husband's property and finally murdered him and his love all the while not caring about her kids at all!
It's exactly the sort of wife/mother JA would have been had she been able to marry and breed. Thank GOD she has not! With a wife like that a husband would have no peace, not for a second!
How could that jury have convicted Betty of only second degree murder! The jury comprised I heard. Shame!

And also doesn't Juan get to come back and talk about the case in front of the appeals board? that's what I saw in that Robert Towery piece...someone had posted a link on here before.

Jesus :crying:

Given this woman's insight, I wonder if it might be better for juan to call a trauma specialist rather than dr. Horn (of course getting to see dr. Horn is never a bad thing.)

Also, you just know that the DT will remind the jury that all of dr. Horn's "patients" are already dead! But then again, calling the ME in these circumstances may be typical.

Good morning everyone!

bettybaby - Jumping off your post (Camille has a lot of interesting posts on her blog). I'm sure this will break a few hearts here, but it's nice to know Juan is well looked after.
