This interview has been very controversial to say the least. I find I am much more on the side that it should have been held back, if only NOT to give JA yet another venue to lie further and trash Travis and his family. Haven't we endured more than enough of her?

I have not kept up with the latest releases, if there have been more, but twice I watched supposedly "complete" or "full" interviews, and they were not. One "full" interview was 31 minutes and the other 36.

Troy Hayden said numerous times he talked with JA for 45 minutes. Nothing I saw added up to close to 45 minutes. There was lots of anchorperson filler and repetition of JA's nasty words in the "complete" ones I saw (which were way less than 45 minutes).

So, have we seen all of that interview? How much was edited and what was taken out and for what purpose? Who made the editing decisions? Was it edited for ratings only?
Imagine this scenario:
All we hear is that JA goes to her cell.
Thursday, Juan would have started his case, and the next step would have been mitigation.
Think of Juan showing tapes of JA showing ZERO remorse, and all the other things she said to Troy. Everyone would be ,"Oh GEEZ! Where on earth did THESE tapes come from??"
Who did this interview??? How did Juan get it??
Troy would emerge as a hero. It would have been his hidden tape that helped crucify JA, and we would all be cheering him.
Instead we have him airing JA trashing Travis once again on the one and only day the Alexander family have had some semblance of peace. I wish him karma - what ever that may be in his case.

Could the motion be the victim impact statement
the DT wants done by video.?

Let's show David Lohr our support and gratitude for working so hard to provide us with all those great videos!

I called in, and they actually took my call and put me on the air! I was able to thank David from his "Websleuth family" and started a little conversation about how the Arias Murder 1 verdict restored my faith in our criminal justice system. I'm all about personal ACCOUNTABILITY, whether it's in a criminal case, or politics, or our personal lives... I can't stand it when people lie to avoid being held accountable. Drives me nuts. :moo:

for Wednesday. I think I am going to listen to JM's closing to get me in a better mood.

O/T Kyle started his chemo about an hour ago....he then said he need to use the restroom. He then hollered "Hey mom I am multitasking. I am receiving chemo and taking a poo"

Close door hearing? That b**ch BETTER be in court tomorrow!

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh: Kyle has a great sense of humor....it will serve him well.

To me that is real love.

Thank you for that. It really is so very hard sometimes.

I truly think all the "yes men" in JA's life are doing her a HUGE disservice!
She is surrounded by those who say they believe her lies (no matter how ridiculous they are), feed her ego, cheer her on when she behaves in ways that hurt her case, etc. I don't think she would have been so shocked by the M1 verdict if those around her had been preparing her for that likelihood. I am sure her lawyers tried to, but they were likely fighting a losing battle when everyone else in her life (cellmates, friends, family) were telling her the opposite.

Oooooh, July 9 birthdays for Tom Hanks, John Tesh, Fred Savage, Richard Roundtree, Chris Cooper, Dean Koontz, Jimmy Smits, Courtney Love, and quite a few others. Should we be keeping an eye on them?

Is Fred Savage?

So, they are done for today?

yes, as far as we know. Beth K was outside the court room and tweets they left....she was on HLN by phone and had no more information. But she is digging around to see if she can find out anything.

Today's happy thought:

Whether Jodi gets the DP or LWOP... she'll still be in a tiny prison cell for the rest of her life, regardless of how long or short that is.

We can hope that every of one Jodi's day begins with the thought that Travis's closet was bigger.

The main reason Betty went off the deep end was that she and Dan married when they were young. She worked full time to provide the family while Dan atteded the law school then medical school. After he became a very successful malpractice lawyer, he found a younger version of Betty to be his trophy wife.

I wish she was able to move forward. Her exhusband new wife kept sending her postcards when she was on vacation. The cards said eat your heart out b--ch. Her weathly ex refused to pay child support. There was no enforsement because he knew everyone in the legal community. It was for this reason she should of had a change of venue. That was denied. Theres alot more to the story.

:seeya: Thanks for the link ...

So ... the defense's mitigation specialist arrived carrying clothes on a hanger ...

:waitasec: omg ... I wonder IF she will be "dressing" Jodi ... can you just imagine ... :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

:moo:

at the copa......copa cabana.......:floorlaugh:

Oh, just had a AHA moment...

all this talk about Betty B got me thinking that I don't think she is in the same "category" as JA.
BUT I realized who JA DOES remind me of...
Diane Downs!
She is the one who shot her kids (some died and some lived, one paralyzed now) because the man she wanted did not want children.
SHE Is just like JA. Cold. Vacant eyes. and fully convinced that everyone would believe every word she said!
She frightens me and I'm very glad she is locked away for good.
(IIRC, the prosecutor and his wife adopted one or more of her surviving children).

i get that people don't want to blame sandy and her husband for jodi. but they did raise her. they've known her all her life. i think they had other kids, they were running a business and they let a lot of things she did ride, thinking it was a 'phase' or that it would pass, or whatever. buying time and hoping things would get better.

i think the ariases were ignorant of what they were actually dealing with. they had this one kid who sucked the oxygen out of the family, and they looked the other way because they didn't know what to do. when she hit her teens, things really blew up and then she left. who knows if there were teachers or counselors along the way who tried to head off this disaster. in any case, someone's dead because of her, and i can't entirely say her parents are blameless in this situation.

I hate this blame the parents crap. What exactly did her parent's ignore? How do you know so much about Jodi's childhood?

Surely the parents didn't know their daughter would brutally murder someone.

I agree, they are alike. Her daughter wrote to her and DD replied back that she has people watching her. Her daughter has never contacted her again.

This should not have happened. There should have been some type of provision in place.

I agree! It was an exceedingly poor decision to place them all in that jury box, regardless of the armed guard. I just can't imagine the amount of necessary self control over the thoughts and urges of the TA siblings while sitting just a few short feet behind the person who violently took their brother from this life. :notgood:

I agree 100%. I am sick and tired of people making excuses for UNETHICAL behavior on the part of these so called "Journalists". Hayden pimped himself out to Arias for ratings and to get his name out there. Unfortunately he is going to be remembered as that guy who sold out for ratings to allow a rambling convicted murderer spew her venom and vitriol on the ONE day the family of Travis Alexanders has waited 5 YEARS to get, Justice and Hayden manages to help strip that victory out of the limelight. He should have been trying to get the family to speak, not being an accomplice to a murderer talking trash. CMJA has hit her time limit as far as being in the center of the limelight. It's time for Travis and his legacy to get the attention it deserves, she is a CONVICTED MURDERER and the ONLY way she will EVER shut up is to be put on DEATH ROW. I hope this Jury does the right thing, I think they will.
