My sources tell me the aggravation phase of #JodiArias trial could be totally finished, incl jury decision, tomorrow. Ill be there. #FOX10

Beth Karas has been saying this for days. She's probably his "source". :giggle:

Do you guys think the jury will give JA the DP? I think her mother pleading for her daughter's life might save her neck.

Who's his source? Jodi? :floorlaugh:
I think people are being very generous if they think this will all be done in one day. I'll be the one with the surprised look if it is finished tomorrow.

I think Dr. Horn is the only witness so at least testimony could easily end tomorrow. On the other hand, everything with these trial seems to take way longer than it should so I'd say even money on either.

I don't think it's that unreasonable. These things don't usually take long. Juan only has one witness to call and the DT has...we don't even know yet.

Assistant Clinical Professor:

"Faculty of professional fields such as law, medicine, business, or engineering also can include ranks of "Clinical Professor" or "Professor of Practice," which are traditionally not tenure-track, and tend to emphasize practical skill training rather than scholarly research."

Yeah but they'd still be in the directory. I know, I work here. All the faculty, (full & part time) are in the directory. All I'm saying is I don't believe him to be officially associated with USC except has a grad and occasional guest speaker.

I recently drove from LA to Kingman Az,( thence on to New Mexico and eastwards), on Route 66 which is the opposite of built up - in fact many towns are all but abandoned - and very empty, and we didn't bring gas. Never even thought about it. No reason. Ra-dick-u-lous .

Now, her renting of a rental car never bothered me. When I take cross country trips, and I've done a bunch (LA to Montreal, LA to Vancouver Canada), I always rent a car. Why wear out my own car when I can wear out Hertz's car??

The gas cans, though, and the nonsense with the license plate, that showed premeditation imho.

JA was a part time waitress with less than $800 to her name. She had a car so the reason to rent a car was to be unrecognized. Devil in the details and all that!

No renting the car is not at all unreasonable. We rent sometimes for short road trips. But renting one when she'd never rented one before for the same drive she'd making for over a year and 90 miles from her home is a little bit illogical. Not to mention asking for one with an inconspicous color. I never thought of asking for an un-red car because I never planned on breaking any laws. JA, however, did.

Yeah, they will. She's just not likable enough to appeal to their sense of mercy.

Juan Martinez is definitely a rockstar! I was a target last night with my son to pick up a few things. He asked me if we were done, and I told him that we needed to get a gift bag for Juan Martinez. As soon as I said Juan Martinez, a lady pushing her cart the opposite direction jerked her head around and looked at me, kind of crazy actually, and asked, "Juan Martinez? Are you friends with him?" I told her #TravisAlexander was my best friend, and she went on and on about Juan & the case, and Juan and Juan.

:moo:
Every time time someone puts the blame for JA's behavior on someone other than JA (like her parents or her bf's); it is a win for JA.
That is EXACTLY what she wants people to believe.

Good post! :bump:

Sorry if I missed it, but it sounds like you are saying the Alexander family will be restricted in what they can say somehow? Why?

Also, I think they are much too classy a family to go ballistic like Dahmer's victim's family member did. But I hope they are able to crush JA with the words they choose. To her core. To the point she cannot breathe.

I don't know TA's family so I cannot judge what kind of people they are and don't know if they are upper class, lower class, educated or not. Have no idea how "classy" they are. I would not want to judge them either way. But, if Jeffrey Dahmer raped, killed, ate my family member I would go "ballistic". like Dahmer's victims family members did. (I don't agree with the ballistic) THOSE were good impact statements. IMO.:moo:

oh no, what have we become?

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

She knew a little bit about the trial, not much.

I did thank her for having the, uh, backbone to tell me I looked terrible. She could easily have tried to sell them to me. And, man, did I look bad!

If you watched a DV survivor who killed their abuser interviewed you usually see sorrow, remorse, sadness, tears, guilt and horror at the crime they committed. Unless the person was horribly abused for decades and then they
are numb and in shock and probably did have PTSD due to the extreme abuse.

Jodi dated Travis for 5 months and became a bootie call for about a year after that. Her choice.

She has been in jail for almost 5 years and has come in contact with many REAL domestic violence inmates. They tell their story to her and she latches on the details, emotions and every tiny piece of information she can use in her trial. The emotion thing comes across odd since she cannot cry or show real emotion like the rest of the world. Unless, like Travis said, she only cries
for herself.

She is not human. :scared:

BBM

Her descriptions of the four "incidents" of domestic violence were flat...not just the lack of emotion, but the words themselves and the brevity of the descriptions. If she heard stories first hand, she sure did not pay attention to what was being said and how it was being said. She would have done just as well to have read off the ingredients listed on the side of a cereal box.

In the long run, ALV turned out to be a prize for the prosecution. She "retold" so many of JA's lies, but the details were in conflict with what JA had said. The "choking" incident, Travis's birthday, her awakening to find she had been penetrated...and on and on. If Juan had wanted to list them all, it would have taken him hours to do so, and he probably thought he had presented a strong enough case.

We all know the devil is in the details...

Do you guys think the jury will give JA the DP? I think her mother pleading for her daughter's life might save her neck.

I'm not sure that they will. I can see them agreeing on aggravation (which then leads to the DP vote) but hanging on the DP. Depends on how much they are swayed by her youth and gender. Juries rarely give the DP to women, but this case being so violent may overcome that.

As I understand it, AZLawyer or Gitana will speak up if this is wrong, if they hang on the DP it goes to the judge to decide either LWP or LWOP, right???

So I started a new job today, at my gf's floral shoppe, and I was bummed that my hours coincided with the scheduled court time tomorrow, but she said I can bring my lap top and livestream court back in our work area! How freaking lame am I?!

The only question tomorrow iirc is whether Travis was killed in an especially cruel, inhumane, and/or in a depraved manner, i.e. did he suffer. His defensive wounds, evidence showing his efforts to escape, and JA slitting his throat while TA was possibly still alive and aware, clearly prove cruelty and suffering. The camera pics documenting the time is icing on the cake. I don't think the jury be out an hour. The only question for me is what, if anything, will the DT do? Try to claim TA didn't suffer?

Do you guys think the jury will give JA the DP? I think her mother pleading for her daughter's life might save her neck.

I think they will. They did not buy into her scam. I believe they were just as offended by her "defense" as a lot of average citizens have been. She had the audacity to portray herself as the victim when Travis was heinously victimized, not only by the murder, but also by her stalking prior to the murder and her attempted character assasination of him after the murder. She has shown absolutely no remorse; in contrast, she conveyed the attitude that she is the one who is owed remorse. Her whole self-centered, narcissistic con game was nauseating and very transparent to most everyone.

His guest host, whatever-her-name-is, freaks me out a little.

Ya funny you should say that. Dr. Drew's cohost is Jenny Hutt I think. She is one weird duck. Makes all these facial expressions and then says absolutely nothing .... just a shoulder shrug and huh? WTF?? But I think that many, many of his co-hosts have been a little "off" ... just sayin'

Of course, there is something a little "off" about DD himself, IMO
