I thought he was a sex therapist? Or did he just play one on TV? :waitasec:

DD touted to be addiction doctor. Hey I still think he is an entertainment specialist. A lot better show than JVM.

His 'booker' does get better guests. Even Jennie 'Pebbles' Hutt.

There was a motion by the defense about blocking the state from argueing "lack of remorse" was this motion accepted or denied?

I am not sure as I have several pages to catch up on. However, they have changed from it being a DV situation i.e. self defense to a moment of passion I wouldn't be surprised if JA comes in to court today full of remorse. It WAS last Thursday she wanted the death penalty. A few days in the hospital may have changed her mind about that too.

She isn't remorseful anyway, and that interview proves it. I guess we will see today what they have in store for us. I can only say that at some point along with the lack of remorse the jury has to take into consideration 29 stab wounds, a slit throat, a gun shot wound and then the crazy leaves him in the shower going about her business. She left him there knowing he was dead and DID NOTHING to have him found. Nothing. No anonymous call, nothing.

He is actually an addiction specialist. He is a board certified internist. But he is also a news and radio personality, so he is both a clinician and celeb. He is very attractive to me. I like nerdy, intellectual softies, personally. He is kind of the ultimate man to me. LOL. His verbal, emotional iIQ is high, plus I love his looks. OT but I like Brad Pitt too. :)

Not only would I have no trouble with giving her the death penalty as a juror, I would likewise have no trouble actually administering the punishment personally.

I agree. I have put literally thousands of people to sleep (and, of course, woke them up at the end of the case). The death penalty is essentially a general anesthetic induction. I personally don't believe it is cruel, and it's a whole lot more humane than what these criminals did to their victims. We are all gonna die some day. Those condemned to judicial execution just happen to know which day is their last. AND they get to say goodbye to any family they have. AND they get a "favorite" last meal. AND comfort from the clergy before they go off to sleep. AND AZ allows them TWO sedatives at intervals before the big sleep. Much more humane than the cruel and heinous way they murdered their victims, IMO.

I have a general question: if you were on this jury, would you be able to give Jodi Arias the death penalty?

Absolutely! She is not only a murderer, she is a slaughterer, cruel and evil.

Deanna was with the family last week, I wonder if she'll give a statement and speak for little Napoleon! He deserves a voice!

I agree. We are all born 'terminal'. Knowing when you will leave this earth is actually a nice thing. Like you said, it gives you time to do all those things you wouldn't normally do. Unlike the victims who though the world was their oyster. Even TA thought 2008 was to be his best year yet. That is cruel. He had hopes and dreams.

With that being said, I will honestly say I won't be too upset if its LWOP knowing that she will stay in her lonely cell 23 hours a day. The only downfall to that is that eventually she go crazy enough that she probably won't even remember or care why she is there. And that is what I hope to see the courts avoid. Make her responsible, make her take the consequences of such a heinous crime. She can't do it, so lets do it through the court. This will be on her mind ALL THE TIME as she wades through the appeals etc. She will relive it will she is trying to save her life for years to come.

IMHO

I like Dr Drew also and find his show interesting. But watch out - we'll get jumped on for saying so. There are a lot of DD haters on here.

Personally, I have issues with the death penalty simply because it takes away someone's ability to eventually repent. I realize most criminals don't repent, but as a christian, removing that ability from someone seems very wrong to me. With that said, if I were a juror based on the law of Arizona, yes I woukd give her the death penalty.

Hi KZ - Miss you since THM days!!! Having had to endure about 25 surgeries, while awake, due to the nature of the surgery, working on nerves, what you describe sounds so much kinder and gentler than what I have gone thru and so much more than CMja deserves if the jury decides on the DP

Lets say she does get the death penalty. How many years do you all think would actually pass before she actually gets the needle? I mean I'm 40 years old and guessing that I won't be around to see it.

Good Texas morning to all of you sleuthers. I am so ready for this day. My heart and thoughts go out to the Alexander's today, may today bring them one day closer to the ultimate justice for Travis.

Would you have been DP qualified? TIA

Hi Nali87,

I am not a Death Penalty advocate....but in this case I would turn that decision over to the family. If they want her dead than so be it.

They say it will be 12 to 15 years before she is put to death. In that time she will live in complete isolation , unable to interact with anyone. That is how it should be, locked away in a dark closet with only Jodie and her other personalities for company.

She can be like Casey Anthony and have an imaginary job, too. And Casey's imaginary friends can come visit Jodi.:floorlaugh:

I don't understand how it takes away the ability to repent? If a person is truly sorry it is a conversation that is had between the G*d and themselves as they try to repent.

That being said, how many have said they have repented but really are just trying to save themselves. Its something that is only known to be truthful between G*d and the person. None of us know what is in a person's heart truly.

I am not trying to disagree, just am not understanding why it takes away the ability to repent?
