Was thinking along those lines the other day. She has NO idea what he will be like "in real life" and they won't even have a "real life" in hiding. He won't have a job. They can't go out to dinner, go shopping without disguises. What kind of life did she envision this would be other than s*x and ... ? Does she have NO fear about his past and how it may get turned on her?!! And she surely must know about his medical issues, so how does she think she will acquire enough meds for him for life? I mean, even if some friend has them holed up on their very rural property somewhere - say in a small RV parked in the midst of what looks like a junkyard so it wouldn't be noticeable, that's a downgrade from her large home with running water and amenities.
That’s why I sometimes wonder if she might have been in some kind of <modsnip> manic state. It seems that for a person who had a solid supervisory position for years and years, owned a home and vehicles, had money in the bank and a retirement pension for the future, she chose a very strange path, more like what an impulsive teen would choose. Very perplexing….

I'll bet he not so nice or attentive when he's been drinking.

Vicky will also have to figure out how she feels about paying all her $$$ to a meth dealer to keep CW happy.

Both CW and his dealer will have a good idea about how much $$$ she has and where it might be.

She's going to have to watch out for the dealers, the drug creeps he runs around with, and CW, too.

I'll bet that honeymooon phase will be over soon.

Weird how there’s so much agreement about some things but we are really split on this. I think there’s next to zero chance they took the risk of bringing in others.
ITA. The only way I could see them taking the risk of involving an outside party would be to secure medications/drugs for CW.

If he was on psychiatric drugs while incarcerated, he will also need those meds (or other drugs) on the outside keep his mental health "stable". Especially since the euphoria of the escape is probably wearing off.

If he has not kept up with his meds, withdrawl might be seriously setting in right about now.

Thanks for clarifying. Someone said it was. If you go the opposite direction from the stop sign or intersection or whatever it was, does it dead end by any chance?

It's like a horseshoe road that has what appear to be basically private drive spurs off of it. Pretty comprehensive article with interviews and flyovers of the area linked below. Fairly sparsely populated. Difficult to see the houses on google maps because of tree cover.
The flyover in the Daily Mail article makes it seem like the SUV was abandoned on Banner-Adams at one of the intersections with Smithson. But the reports all say it was near the bus driver lady's home; which as indicated on the one map is back in near the V where you can either go back to the farm way back or turn back toward Smithson.

I wonder if VW as a supervisor in the jail had access to the in-house med supplies. She could've pilfered a couple months supply of his meds. I imagine whatever meds Casey's on there are many other prisoners in the same facility on the same meds, so they would possibly have quite a supply on site.

That is a good timeline, but they forgot the incident where another ex girlfriend in 2008 supposedly committed suicide by shooting herself in the chest with a sawed-off shotgun. Apparently that case is being reinvestigated now, as he was there at the time! Many articles on this, but here is one: Deputies REOPEN investigation into suicide death of Casey White's ex
I may be wrong about this but I believe this cold all have been nipped in the bud at the jail, Obviously procedure was not followed, some one who is responsible for inmate activities or medical appointments dropped the ball could have been done on purpose, she could have help from a co worker.

Right before VW took CW out of the jail, 2 other transports of prisoners had just left for the courthouse--with 2 deputy escorts each. So that's 4 guards down. The Sheriff indicated the high turnover among junior CO's at the jail meant you likely had very green and uncertain guards left at the jail with VW after those 4 left. Seems like she had it sorted to where there would be no one left at the jail who might challenge her actions in the moment.

This article shows his cell in the maximum security portion of the jail but says it’s unclear whether he had a cellmate.

While I have never said he was in solitary myself, I do remember someone saying he had been (past tense) sometimes held in solitary earlier in the threads. I don’t recall if there was a link that said that. I’ll see if I can find it. In any case thanks for your level headed-ness in how you asked the question of whoever made the claim by remaining open to new info you may have missed!
@BlueSky12 Ultimately, what I found is that people were referencing that at the William E Donaldson facility (where he’s permanently listed, but was temporarily moved from bc of trial prep), Casey White’s status was the most restricted level at the prison which is called “close.”

Here’s the link to enter his name or you’d like to see this: - Alabama Dept of Corrections

“Close status” is defined on the jail website as…The most restrictive custody level to which an inmate can be assigned. Inmates in this custody will be housed in a single cell in a close security institution. Movement outside the housing area requires that the inmate be restrained and accompanied by armed correctional personnel in accordance with Administrative Regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.

Link to definition from the prison: - Alabama Dept of Corrections

I was not the original poster of this info so I don’t know if there were separate corroborating links to suggest he was in solitary, but I myself so not see his Close status as being exactly the same thing as solitary. But rather the most secure setup for confinement in a single cell.

I may poke around a bit more to see if any of the verbal interviews suggested he was in solitary.
