Assuming the people she was with have an addiction then you can't expect them to make rational decisions. This happened in Florida around the area my ex husband and daughter. A guy buried his friend in his backyard after he died from an heroin overdose. It doesn't make sense but it happens

Here’s the issue. If one believes the narrative that she left with these two suspicious men, then it’s quite the coincidence that she was in fear for her life, then happened to die of a drug overdose.

If one does not buy that story, then there’s an issue with that too. She overdoses, and then there’s this crazy effort to misdirect law enforcement.

This wasn’t irrational; it was thought out yet stupid.

That’s unusual.

What’s also unusual, is that whoever is responsible for the coverup basically made an accidental death look like a murder:

“She left the bar with two huge men. She was scared of these men. These men obviously kidnapped and killed her.”

Burying aside, common practice is to remove the body and lie if questioned. Not draw everyone’s attention to an apparent crime.

I did not follow her case closely. Did she also have a history of substance use? Did LE release any info about the men she left with- photos, description of what they were wearing, etc?
She had struggles in her life as many of us do or have had. But non of that matters when a beautiful soul is murdered. I don’t care what history someone has. They still have a right to go out and have fun and return to the ones they love. JMO

Why is everyone so convinced she OD’d?
I'm sure not. It kind of bugs me when people get tunnel vision when we find out a missing person has past issues with substance abuse. The same goes for people who go missing that have a history of depression.
I'm keeping an open mind for now. We just don't know enough yet. MOO.

There are no visable security cameras anywhere on the exterior of Tin Roof. I looked at all exterior walls of the building and the adjacent parking lot. There are two small round cameras on the building across the street but I would not think they would pick up much across the street due to traffic. There is also a large awning over the door If the bar that would reduce visibility. Parking in available on the street and on side streets as well as the small side parking lot. There are a few signs indicating security cameras on a building and a fence well behind the Tin Roof but they would not pick up any activity anywhere near the front of the bar.

100% agree with that! I was curious if the speculation in her case was coming from a similar perspective with Paighton, is all.
No beautiful souls deserve to be murdered.
Regardless of what happened with PH, she clearly was a joy to be around as described by her friends and family. Her life was cut short way too soon. :-/

I did see missing signs still posted and a yellow bow.

Savannah's forum should still be active since her murderer is awaiting trial. It wasn't that long ago.

All of the particulars can be found there about the beginning circumstances of her case when she left a bar with the men..then went missing.. only later to be found in a shallow grave, buried by her suspect who had murdered her.

Yes there were claims of substance abuse very much like what is claimed in this case by posters who also assumed she had OD, and the suspect buried her because they were fearful of her ODing when with him.

Of course none of it was true. The reason he buried her was because he was trying to getaway with her murder.

In that moment, I think she did not want to remind whoever she was with that she still had her phone. I believe, obvi IMO, she was hoping to be able to use it to call her friend for help when she was able to get away from whomever she was with.
Why would she, especially if she felt unsafe, as indicated in the "text", hope to use her phone to call later if she already didn't want whoever to be reminded she had her phone? Imo in a circumstance where someone feels eminent danger, and lucky enough to get a text/call out, would use the likely one chance to get help....to get help

So very true. I surely hope that LE is thoroughly investigating despite her substance use history.

I've also considered some type of love triangle/domestic violence situation. I would be surprised if whatever happened involved strangers. Moo

OT: Thank you. I'll take a look. I've read some MSM but didn't follow it here.

With all respect to the late Savannah Spurlock, she didn't have a confirmed history of opiate abuse and rehab.

That seems peculiar in this day and age that a bar that has a live music venue would not want to protect itself and it's patrons with exterior surveillance cameras. It also doesn't seem to be in a very nice part of town. Even more reason to know what is going on outside the venue

Any cameras under the awning? If the awning is over the Tin Roof door?

I'm sorry, but I don't believe PH would have used again because of the sepsis and endocarditis. If you've seen her recovery video, I honestly believe she wanted to live a clean life. I may be wrong, but I really doubt it.
We can’t possibly know what she would or wouldn’t do.

That’s not my issue with the overdose theory. My issue is that it just doesn’t seem to fit here.

Respectfully, recovering addicts generally don't want to use again and truly want to live a clean life. Doing so is a constant, often daily battle, however, especially when in a bar/ going out environment. Despite so many believing addiction is a choice, neuroscience and a plethora of research suggests otherwise. It is a disease.
This does not mean PH did in fact relapse. We do not know yet. But, even if she did, it doesn't mean she didn't want to live a clean life. Moo

How about inside the bar?
