Bottom line, no matter how old you are you don’t go to bars alone, in this day and age! My Daughter is 33, she is very happily married with 2 young sons, 2 1\2 and 6 months. I totally understand her need to get away. Even though she calls and says she’s going out. I ask about how many people. If she says 3, she’s good too go.( not that I could stop her) If Not, I pester the hell out of her to find more people. I finally told her why ( her and her husband think my Websleuths rule is ridiculous. ) I pray that is always true. In her defense, she was the one who always remembers to put lids on our drinks.
I agree with you about young women not drinking in bars without a support system for safety.
But she was there with friends.
So often that is the case. They go out with friends, and either have a falling out, decide to stay alone after their pals depart , or take off with “new friends” or friend, and are never seen alive again.
