I know what your saying is correct Alioop. I am just going on the thought that surely the jury will have common sense and after hearing all his lies etc will see he did it. Most on here seem to think he is guilty. I know the jury will hear a lot more before we do but a jury is made up of everyday citizens like we are.
Maybe I should have said it like my mother would "I can feel it in my waters" lol

I love that expression, and I too "felt it in my ( legal) waters" within about 10 minutes after the bail hearing started on Friday that bail would be refused. I also felt it when I first heard he was applying for bail 2 weeks ago and I think I posted that I didn't think he would get bail.

To be fair...I don't recall too much being "very wrong" throughout the reports on this case. One has to keep in mind, police will only release details which they decide can be reported so as not to hinder their investigation in any way. Also, with all the journalism rules/regulations they have to play it safe.

With Friday's bail hearing, it was noted on Twitter, the journos comments were being vetted by lawyers before it could be reported in MSM.

There's always the option for you to become a WS verified insider...you could then post whatever you "hear".

I was talking to Kate of the courier mail in the court room before the judge came in. She was twittering and told me her colleague from the courier mail who was in front of me was writing for the online story but that it had to go though legal approval before being posted online. So I could just post on ws what I wanted and I think I got the scoops on the new evidence as didn't have to get anything approved first. You heard it first on ws. I will go to bed now before my head gets too big!

Ahhh but you're a WS verified solicitor....lol.

“Three alleged affairs, including a relationship with a woman named for the first time as Jackie Crane, and their impact on his troubled marriage are also detailed.”

Jackie Crane, another women linked by court documents and MSM to GBC (aka Bruce Overland, Gorgeous Boy, or <<<<modsnip>>>) has been active in removing her information quickly.

For those of you that missed the facebook and linkedIn profiles, here is a cached version showing her photo and position as Business Manager at Devine Real Estate in Sydney.

IMO, she does look a little like Allison.

Yes she does, she is also petite like Al too, thanks for this whitechapel. She was happily having lunch with friends the day before it broke. I wonder if she knew the story was about to break?
I imagine the third lady will be feeling very anxious and has probably fixed up her security settings by now.

I am hoping to find some time to read back throught the early posts, as mentioned a lot seems spot on. The tuckshop lady was definately mentioned as well.

The vacuum cleaner might have been used to clean up the leaves from the car.
Sprat the dog would have been a great witness I think. If only dogs could talk.

Also, for Alioop, if the defence had some crucial evidence for example Ms McHugh gave a damming statement the defence would HAVE to advise the procecution wouldn't they?

Sorry to post again....

There was a lady with the initials MH who was mentioned early on. Did anyone save any info from her? I can no longer see her FB.

Alioop, you are entitled to gloat a little. We are indeed fortunate to have you here. What a great job you did for us. Being a verified solicitor, we benefited from your clear postings and interpretation of the legal jargon. :takeabow:

and it was free. She could have charged out a lot :floorlaugh:

Mavericks comments are very insightful and have been proven to be true. Though he did not think Allison's body was dumped where she was found as he believed she would have been found earlier if that was the case and it being too risky given the traffic going over the bridge. But he has got nearly everything else correct.

Where are you Maverick. Come back and say hello.

Sorry Alioop we're not going to see that hunky avatar picture of Joanne Woodward's hubby in a hurry. Maverick.au hasn't been on the thread since 28/5 according to search.

I think it's Berry that has dibs on Joanne Woodward's husband :)

Do the math TM. Where did the youngest child come from? A pumpkin patch?

GBC had no qualms about being intimate with women other than his wife. Allison's diary mentions that he denied her intimacy. Not even a decent hug.
GM had no qualms with giving speeches about the importance of integrity.
GM had no qualms with running around selling houses and begging for large loans, yet denied Allison the security of their own home. He even sold her investment property from jail without consulting her co-investor FFS

Is this what prospective LNP politicians are made of?

MOO

I agree, it is worrying that he was suggested as a possible candidate for the LNP. Even though I am usually Liberal this case has made me question my voting behaviour as the fact that BF was a friend and was ready to offer accommodation, M de W also visited him makes me think they can't see beyond (very) superficial charm.

Thanks Nads for the link. Interesting having two legal experts comment on this case from another State in Australia. “It is not up to the defence, in any way, to actually prove that it was suicide rather than murder, it is up to the prosecution to prove it was murder,” Mr Caruso said.
“It is the defence’s job to cast doubt on why that would be the case.”

It seems the Defence theory put up at the second Bail application may create 'reasonable doubt' in the minds of the public that suicide is a reasonable alternative theory - but they don't have to prove their theory. However, at Trial, the Prosecution has to counter the suicide theory in order to prove it was murder. So the case going forward for Committal Hearing witnesses is 'do you think it could have been suicide or murder?'. If reasonable doubt can be established, this can determine whether the case goes to Trial or not. IMO the Prosecution is up to the challenge. My opinion only.

To be fair, most of his political aspirations were BEFORE Allison was murdered, and GBC was just generally regarded as a bit of an "out there" W**ker. In fact - the very characteristics that are exhibited by many, if not most, politicians and would-be politicians, from ALL sides of politics. I don't think that it is fair to M de W or even to BF to question their judgement.

In fact BF was probably just trying to be a friend in need by offering that accommodation, well before there was any suspicion by the general public, and before Allison was found. It was when she was thought to be a missing person.

It's a bit too easy to be critical in hindsight, but BF and M de W are local politicians at state and local govt levels who were no doubt just doing their job. In BF's case, it was a bit more than that as he was a bit closer to GBC.

I really don't think politics or politicians should be brought into the matter. Just IMHO of course...

OW also said ...."Unfortunately Allison still has not been found. So we are just desperate for her to be returned to us as soon as possible and that is our primary focus at the moment."

Ive always found " returned to us" a very odd thing to say. :moo:

'Returned to us' is very much like 'business as usual' IMO. She's a possesion, just a piece of furniture that belonged there :( there's no emotion or sincerity, like the whole thing was rather an inconvenience...
