In addidtion, is it a safe assumption that the card and envelope fell off the bed when the room was "trashed", or were they there already? If it fell off during the trashing, who does those prints belong to? I think we can assume that somebody didn't make those prints while walking on top of the bed. Lastly, were those prints made by the same person that made the two Luminol prints?

Interestingly, in Filomena's room there are only two fingerprints matched to anyone, both attributed to Filomena, one on the door and one on the wardrobe at the foot of the bed.

OK:

1. Extra allelles change nothing in my regard for it and the other evidence.
2. Confirmatory testing is sometimes needed... but not in this instance.
3. Yes, fruit juice and other items react with luminol.
4. TMB was negative due to dillution from cleaning/wiping with water/etc.
5. Collection methods were just fine considering the circumstances of an accused trying to muck up the crimescene with boogies and staging.
6. Who's biological matter... I bet AK wishes they would have messed up those BARE footprints some more. Why would RG remove his shoes and leave both BARE prints in blood as well as in shoes?
7. V & L change nothing of my perspective which is Murdered Innocent Abroad instead of Accused Innocent Abroad which seems to be the 'hope'.
8. No, both AK and RS have zero alibi for the night of the murder... even they 'don't remember' what they did or what time they ate supper. He may have had fish blood on his hands/he may have put the knife in her hand as she slept/she may have left the apt/he may have had a water spill/they might have have sex/they may have smoked ONE joint/they may have not turned off their phones/he may have previously 'pricked' Meredith on accident/they may have done some other stuff... but I don't think so.
9. Sure, more computer experts wouldn't mean 'a hill of beans' as far as their alibi... because there isn't any. Don't you find it odd that the search would need to be so extensive IF he was actually crusing the net all night???

Hey Rose,
What color was Filomena's hair?

What kind of shoes was AK wearing the night of the murder?

Hey Chris,
Thanks for trying to answer some of my list/questions.

-you say RG 'might' have worn gloves but he left his fingerprints on several items. Could AK and RS have had gloves too?

-you say Filomena 'might' have disturbed the room by just picking up her laptop... I don't believe that was the case.

-"If guilty"... they might wish they had done/said alot of things differently.
At this point with the H/Z appeal nonsense they seem to be in good shape for the moment.

-IMO your phone off explanations are pretty weak. They 'could' have had other reasons for turning their phones off... but none make much sense.
*Would AK have her charger with her? Why would she need to conserve her battery? Were they planning for a trip to Gubio the next day? Why no charger? Do you really believe she didn't know how to delete sent messages??
*If she didn't want to receive anymore calls from Patrick... DON'T ANSWER!

I don't think they were 'cunning'... disturbed and lucky (so far) fit better IMO.

Rudi did not leave fingerprints in Filomena's room, according to the map that RoseMontague just provided. My conjecture is that he removed his gloves when he went to use the toilet, and about that time Meredith returned. However, I doubt that we will ever know every detail of this crime. BTW, if there were a list of all items that the FP checked for DNA, blood, etc. (even those that tested negative), that would help.

My recollection is that Filomena herself said that when she took the laptop out of its back, there were pieces of glass that she shook off (link here). This is a coffeebreak comment, and so I don't have a citation handy from Massei.
EDT
”I picked up the computer and perceived that in lifting it, I was picking up pieces of glass, in the sense that there was actually glass on top of it.” (p. 53, Massei report, English translation)

Rose,

If AK had 215 E on her at arrest, made a cash withdrawal during the murder time period of $361.54 (@250 E), made a CC purchase of $62.18 (@43 E) and finally made a CASH DEPOSIT of $562 (@ 389.69 E)...

Where did the extra money come from for the deposit?
Why make the withdrawal of 250 E... then deposit 389 E ???
Why deposit anything if have plenty in acccount?

The rent was 300 E (434$) for each girl, and Meredith's money was missing.

Do you find this at all suspicious?

RG's fingerprints were in Meredith's room. Interesting gloves (AND SHOES) are on or off depending upon the needs of the argument.

I am sure both Filomena and the police officers noted... as well as testified to the glass being on top of other clothes items. Not just the laptop and before it was picked up.
Interesting that the police officer IMMEDIATELY told AK and RS that it the break in looked fake to him. I bet that was a nasty surprise.

When was the rent paid and how was it paid? Who paid Meredith's share? There are a lot of questions but for one thing I don't have the bank records nor do I see any testimony on this so I really don't have enough information to comment on it.

Hey Rose,
What color was Filomena's hair?

What kind of shoes was AK wearing the night of the murder?

Filomena and Laura both had brown hair from what I remember.

None of Amanda's shoes matched that pattern.

Which shoes was AK supposidly wearing the night of the murder?

The rent was supposed to be paid at the start of the month. When mentioned before the murder AK stated she had not been paid by Patrick so didn't have hers. Meredith's money was in her drawer.

One thing is certain... AK didn't pay Meredith's share.

Bank records/activity was posted by Charlie at JREF. Do those figures and activity look suspicious to you... that was the question.

Amanda was expecting to work at Patrick's bar on the night of the murder. Only when Patrick called did she know she had the evening free. Her phone charger was on the floor of her room next to an electrical outlet, not at Raffaele's where she was now going to spend the night. It can be seen in the Spheron images taken of the cottage after the murder was discovered.

Amanda gave two reasons for turning off her phone, both were perfectly reasonable under the circumstances.

I don't agree. Neither were reasonable IMO. She was at the cottage earlier in the day, was 'planning' to spend the night at RS's (as she had done for most of the previous week), was planning a trip to Gubio the next morning, etc... I believe saving the battery is not valid. Why no saving battery previously? Why this certain evening? Did RS NOT have his charger TOO???

Why is the argument they did not turn off their phones- then not at the same time (7 minutes difference)- then to save batteries- then to not be disturbed... which one was it?

Do you believe she didn't know how to delete sent messages???

No, I don't even know if the rent was paid for November. We know it was not paid at the time of the murder and we know that AK and FR had a conversion with each other and that FR was speaking to her lawyer about getting out of the rental contract.

What I am suspicious of is Rudy. His DNA was on Meredith's purse, he went out partying afterwards, then somehow purchased a train ticket to Germany.

Amanda admitted she turned off her phone and explained why. Raffaele made no such admission. The phone company does not track the turning on or off of phones, btw.

His prints were on her purse, but like he picked it up and placed it on her bed. I believe Meredith was using her other bag that evening... not the purse with the prints.

Yes, he went to a club. How much was the entry fee?
How much was a ticket on a train to Germany... if he bought one?

That still does not answer the question of 'suspicious' bank records/activity... why is that? The figures are right there, is that normal activity both before and after the murder of Meredith when there is 434$ missing from Meredith's room. Why withdraw361.54$ then turn around and deposit 562.00$. Remember the 215 E found on AK at arrest also.

So it is just a coincidence that both phones stopped working 7 minutes apart?

Well, it was odd/not-normal phone behavior for the two regardless of excuses.

And another coincidence that neither received/made calls until the next day?

Likely RS reason would entail some hypotheticals... like his 'knife-prick' story.

Insisting that there can be only one reason for Amanda to turn off her cell phones is a rather strange argument. Logic doesn't dictate that humans can only have one reason for an action.

There is no evidence that Raffaele even turned off his phone. We only know the time of his last phone call that night. Cell phone networks don't record phones being turned off and on, they only record calls and messages. But like Amanda, Raffaele had a good reason to turn his phone off that had nothing to do with murder. He didn't want a romantic evening to be disturbed by phone calls.

In your theory, they turn off the phones to cover up a scheme for bloody murder. But if that was the plan, why would they stick around Raffaele's place and watch a silly anime video after turning off their phones?

Logic doesn't dictate that they both turned off their phones (which one admitted to) on the very night Meredith was murdered and when they hadn't done so before.

Haha. 'No evidence' that RS turned off his phone... but no usage until the next morning and AK admitted she had. Why would she, but not RS?

I don't believe the murder was planned... I think it evolved from something else. It was a scheme... but not originally a murder-scheme.

Same as with many arguments for innocence- RS didn't turn off his phone... but if he did he had a good reason... but he can't remember what :innocent: .

My daughter has a tennis match today... catch up with you guys later on.

A tennis match sounds like fun. I am hoping you have a chance to answer some of my questions then. Here are some more:
10. What was Meredith's TOD, and how did you arrive at this conclusion?
11. If Lumumba's changing his SIM card shortly after the murder is just a coincidence, then how does one rule out coincidence with respect to when Amanda turned off her cell phone.
