ITA we haven't heard that her phone has been recovered. Please, someone chime in if I am wrong. However, based on the image I posted upthread, IF AJ's cell phone carrier is the one that retains the actual text message content, and IF LE was savvy enough to put in the a timely request (and I hope to God they did), then the content will be available to investigators.
I remember the detailed text message exchanges we were able to access in the T. Alexander case. It was pretty incredible to read his exchanges with ja (IMO). Granted, both phones were recovered, and this case is not identical.
I can't help but hold onto that glimmer of hope that this data is out there somewhere. Perhaps it was synced in an iPhone backup, forgotten initially, only to be recovered by the opposite end user. You'd be amazed what forensic IT specialists can recover. I just have faith, that after this long and winding road, something will happen to shine the light of justice into the dark recesses of evil (if it hasn't already) .
