Wow! That's awful. ZDots and KayKay....I am very sorry for your recent losses. :( Terrible anytime, but especially so during the holidays.
 
I'm sitting here with several tabs open to various Twitter pages....hoping the reporters tweet lots of updates. :waiting:

Hopefully arkansasmimi made it there and will be able to fill us in on the specifics later. I always get more information from her anyway. (and it's actually correct info....things like Scott instead of England! LOL)

Edit to add: This is a new one I hadn't seen before. She is supposedly covering the trial: https://twitter.com/chanleysha She appears to be a legal analyst for KARK.
 
Well, I am going to check back later. Jury selection is not exciting to me and we are hearing virtually nothing!

Random musings:

1) I wonder why the defense is going to call Carl Carter, Sr. to the stand? Hmmmmm......

2) Much of the media talk today is discussing finding impartial jurors and, as expected, it is being reported that many of the potential jurors have heard of the case, but I really feel that once we step out of WS mode and into the "real world", we will find that not everyone is obsessing over every little detail like we sometimes tend to do. ;)

If not for me talking about it, my husband would have been one that might have heard that some realtor lady was killed, but otherwise would know nothing about anything else. He doesn't watch any news or read the paper, so if not for me he would have been a pretty clean slate. I'm sure there are many, many others out there just like him. My own mother watches only national news and when I've tried to discuss this case with her before she has NO idea what I'm even talking about, because she doesn't watch local news. I feel pretty good that they will be able to find a fair and impartial jury to hear the case. This is why I have to come talk about it here! I can't find anyone in real life to discuss it with! LOL

I wish y'all could see how many tabs I have open in Chrome right now. 15, I think? One twitter tab for each "#" that I've seen used (#beverlycarter, #arronlewis, etc), another for each reporter that is covering the trial and one for here. I'm sort of ridiculous today. LOL But, it's keeping me updated!

So far, Lewis has been very involved with the defense team in picking and striking jurors. #cartercase

(My comments: AL being the legal eagle that we know he is, probably just sees the lawyers has his assistants. LOL)

****Interesting they seem to be seating mostly women. I'm admittedly ignorant of such things, but it seems to me that women might be more sympathetic....but I guess the question is sympathetic to whom? Interesting.

It's all good for now that there are so many women. I would think that would benefit Beverly and her family very much. However, with that said, I bet AL and Bill James are sweating. Well, maybe not. They're both so arrogant, they probably believe they can intimidate/sway the women jurors more easily than the men. Should be interesting.

I just feel so sorry for poor Carl Sr. having to testify. Breaks my heart! [emoji174]
