I feel like there’s a lot of details not being shared that is making it hard to get in farther with Brooke’s case.
I understand there are certain details that may not be able to be shared if there’s an investigation, etc...but
I keep wondering where were her children staying around the time she disappeared? It couldn’t have been with her; children don’t just hang out & take care of themselves for a few weeks until their mom is reported missing.

Why did it take so long for her family to realize she was missing? Where did family live? Was it close by? Did she have a relationship with them? I feel she must have had one to an extent; they knew she got her hair done the day before she went missing. And what made her father finally realize Brooke was missing?

Brooke wearing two different shoes, both left shoes at that seems pretty noteworthy to me, yet it really isn’t mentioned in media or by LE. I mean to me, that’s not something a woman casually going about her day would do.

Concerning the flat...Some articles mention a person stopping and putting Fix-a-Flat in the tire, while others only mentioned the flat as she parked her car under the bridge. LE never really mentions the person stopping; they talk more as if she had a flat, parked, and car was left there (willingly or unwillingly).
I believe I read where someone she knew was the person who stopped. If that’s the case, did Brooke call that person to come help or did they happen to just be passing by and noticed her? Did the person already have the fix a flat with them?

I assume LE interviewed someone in order for them to know about the flat, temporarily fixing it, & it going flat again. How else would they know?

How far did she get from the 1st stop to the 2nd one by the water?

Lastly, her cigarettes....I don’t see a smoker leaving their cigarettes voluntarily whether they thought they would be gone for awhile or just a few mins down the road.

This article seems to mention details not found in other articles, but honestly media coverage on her disappearance is very scarce IMO.
I emailed the editor of The Daily Citizen to see if the article could be shared again and asked if they published any other articles covering Brooke’s case.

I heard back from The Daily Citizen! :)
Not only did they share the entire article that we weren’t able to pull up anymore, but shared an additional article they published. They stated the reason for not running any other stories on Brooke since then is due to additional info hasn’t been shared with them.

I’m not sure how TOS works with receiving an article via email instead directly from web. I believe it is important to share it for sure!

*I’ll alert a mod and ask if I’m allowed to share the article and exactly how to post it to show it does cone from an approved media source.

Thank you so much for doing this. Maybe this case can be solved with more exposure.

I would like to believe there is a quiet investigation going on with LE which will lead to an arrest ... I think her second flat was fatal

Do they have a FB? Maybe they would run it there again?
Great work !

Still haven’t heard back from a mod yet, so I thought I’d check out Brooke’s “find” fb page.

There is an August 25th post. This post caught A LOT of attention especially from locals.
161 comments to be exact.

It’s an eye opener; wish it were a way to sort rumor from fact tho!

They do have Facebook. I’m one of the tiny percentage of people who do not have Facebook (don’t judge :D) but if anyone would like to message TDC to see about running the old articles again, that would be awesome, IMO.

The post with the questions by Allison Goodman is also illuminating. Really good questions that help frame this.

@mlhenn your research on Brooke's case is impressive. Thank you for bringing her up and making me think hard about what happened. Hoping LE and sheriffs are doing the same. Bumping for Brooke.

Ok, I received the “ok” to share the info from the articles that were previously published by The Daily Citizen. Since we were unable to view them via internet any longer, they emailed them to me.

In place of the actual link, I was told to just provide a screenshot of part of each article for verification reasons.

Here is the first of two articles published by The Daily Citizen:

Searching for Mother of Three
August 6, 2018

•Brooke’s father filed a missing person’s report with Searcy Police Dept on July 26 because she hadn’t been seen since July 12.
•He filed it with Searcy PD because she resided at 1616 Roundabout Circle, Flats Apartments (Searcy).
•When filing the report, her father told Searcy PD that Brooke may be in the area of Searcy, Batesville, Newport, or Jacksonport.
•According to her father, she was last seen in the Newark & Newport areas on July 10 and possibly in Searcy on July 12 after having a disagreement with her ex husband Brad Durham.
•Brooke’s car was found 1 day after her father filed the report (or 2 weeks after last seen date).
•July 30, Independence Co filed a separate report in order to have Brooke entered into the state system.
•Aug 1 & 2 searches were conducted near the area her car was found; those involved in the searches were:
Independence Co, Jackson Co,
Oil Trough, Newark, and Thida/Union Fire Departments,
Cadaver dogs, water & land search teams, and an airplane was used.

•As of this publication (Aug 6), Independence Co LE had not been able to make contact with the person last known to be with Brooke. LE made an appeal: We need him to answer our phone calls.

Should we assume the last person to see her and the person LE wanted to speak with was Brad Durham? Did they ever speak with him?

This article published by The Daily Citizen is a little longer than the first one so I’m going to break down the main points/info into two posts!

IMO (based on info below), this is one of the many issues this case is facing...various LE agencies either putting the case off or not taking an active role in it, etc...

Searcy Woman Still Missing
Published September 22, 2018

AR State Police
•Bill Sadler, public information officer w/ AR State Police stated the agency is assisting with the case; investigating any tips that are reported to Independence Co or Searcy PD.
•Sadler confirmed there is an active investigation and search for Brooke BUT stated “records of this department indicate the AR State Police is working in a secondary role to assist with the case.”
•Sadler (ASP) named Searcy PD as the leading agency.

Searcy PD
•Searcy PD reply to their agency being involved/leasing case, “This is not our case.”
•Searcy PD explained that the original MP report was filed with them because that’s where Brooke lived, but when her car was found in Independence Co, they started the investigation.

Independence County
•Independence Co stated their understanding of the situation is they transferred the case to AR State Police because the incident took place “over 2-3 counties” and ASP have statewide jurisdiction.

Brooke’s Father
•Brooke’s father’s take on it is that he’s under the impression that the AR State Police was over his daughter’s case
•ASP is who he communicates with
•He also stated ASP told him not to talk about the case.
