IMO, and I really hate to say it, this is all just bizarre coincidence. I don't know how she wouldn't remember something at the age of 6, not try to get back to her family - isn't that when kids are in first grade? I have very vivid memories of that age. I have memories back to the age of 2. I could see myself questioning my 2 year old memories but not at the age of 6.
You're right, some children have a very vivid memory of their childhoods. I think she may remember something because if the myspace Morgan is the same as the FB Morgan with the same birthdate, I think she was reaching out in high school by putting that she was from FT Smith, AR because she lives in Ohio.
Sometimes, however, kids are told things at that age and they are innocent and trusting. For example, my parents divorced when I was 5 and for some bad reasons I ended up going to live with my dad. He told me my mom had died, I believed him. Imagine my suprise when she showed up at my 8th bday party!
I think if she's alive and this is her then she was told something like her parents died or they couldnt take care of her anymore. That he called them and they didnt want her to come home, something.
Thats what happened with Steven Stayner. He was told that there where too many kids in his family and he'd been bad and the parents didnt want him back :furious: but he knew that something wasnt right. It wasnt until the POC grabbed the Timmy boy that he put 2 and 2 together.
Believe me, I know it could be a coincidence but then again there is the strong resemblance and the same birthday and name. So I've learned on here it never hurts to submit.
Last year, I found a girl online that had been missing for something like 14 years, alive. Fortunately, LE had "retrieved" her from the airport just weeks before when they got wind of the myspace page before me. I found this out because I submitted it to Rocky at doe network, he submitted it to LE and they where able to remove her from their database as missing because they where not aware.
I have a website and I focus on finding the living. I feel that they are out there, many hiding in plain site .Just finding one in my opinion opens the possibility for LE to find the true match for an unidentified doe by eliminating those that are alive and not having to waste time ruling them out. Giving them the opportunity to focus on other potential matches.
Also, I have 2 people I knew that are missing persons and wish that someone would find them, preferably alive but just not knowing what has become of them is more painful then anything imaginable.
So I hope and pray it is her for the families sake but I can also understand that it's a long shot.
