I was just looking at her today also - they look alot alike and she was tall... and Emma Lorene Vaughn.. she was short, but the nose and eyes in the 3rd picture to the right -her profile and slanty eyes look a whole lot like Doe... I was looking for missing Cheryls, Sherri's Sherry's... just in case it really was her first name- Link to Emma Lorene Vaughn.. .born in 1971

I can't figure out how to post a picture on here of the side by sides or any picture at all for that matter.. new at this- but look at her smile, eyes, nose... profile

I've seen height estimates be badly off, but I don't think you can get from 5'3" to nearly six feet.
 
I submitted Beverli Darnall as a potential match for this Jane Doe today to Michael Nance at UNTHSC.

Beverli Darnell has brown eyes/blond hair.

According to doe network, Jane Doe has brown hair (prev dyed blond) and blue eyes although they could be hazel (blue brown) and be considered brown or blue. (look more brown to me). It's a possibility but she also seems too old (22 in 1983) and height 5'6 to 5"7 which is much shorter then Jane Doe
 
Obviously I am new to submitting, but wondering how you found this info, Sleuthster, as I had googled her and didn't find anything...and how would we go about finding out if the B Darnell you found is the same person??

I don't have an account with them. But the name, middle initial, and age is the same. Plus Beverli was from MD. Now it could be someone using her id or old records but usually it wouldn't show a missing person that's been missing this long because I believe they get the info from utility companies and other public records.

I thought emma vaughn was a rule out as well ???? and she fits .......apparently I am easily confused!!!!
 
I received the following e-mail from Mike Nance today re: Beverli Darnell


Thank you for all of you efforts in searching these cases. Both UP2813 and MP 2889 have DNA profiles in the FBI DNA CODIS system. There is no match between them unfortunately.

it is frustrating that on many of the MP profiles they say tests complete but do not indicate who the custodian of the results is. we can't tell if they are retained by the state or local authorities or if uploaded to CODIS.

often if we assume it has been put in CODIS, we are wrong yet when we ask, they usually say, oh yeah, it would have been picked up automatically.
 
The photo of Raylene's face shape and features looks a whole lot like our Doe. What if she did run away and survived the beating? Her face shape, eye color and nose, eyebrows, and our doe autopsy photo looks like reddish brown wavy hair..

and Raylene was beaten terribly by her father, which would be an excellent reason she would not want to be found or ever go home. The father did 10 years for child abuse, but don't know if our Doe (if it was Raylene) would have known that he was incarcerated (making it safe for her to maybe go home)... Not sure where Raylene's mother was or if her sister went into foster care after dad was sent to prison for 10 years. Maybe she had no home to go to, no mother, father now in prison.

There was never a body found and I don't think Raylene's father had too much time to dispose of her body, since he didn't disappear for any amount of time after Raylene disappeared.

Raylene was listed as only about 5' tall, but family's estimate when she was reported missing could have been way off and she could have grown some more in her teens.

I don't know how to post the side by side photos, but her ears, chin...freckles..just looks like our pretty little doe as a kid.

ok KDSMITH21 emma is NOT a rule out, she is very short at 14, Im right back on Terri from texas, they look so similar to me, and she has not been ruled out either, can anyone submit her?

Yes, but her height may have already been off when reported missing (a few inches short possibly) maybe she was more like 5'5 or 5'6 when she went missing and then she grew a few inches in her teens?

AND in NAMUS it says our DOE had a Crown or Cap on tooth#9, that is the same tooth (top center left tooth) that was chipped for Emily.

Should I submit Emma Vaughn ( http://doenetwork.org/cases/689dffl.html ) as a possible match through Namus?

I tried to post the picture side by side a few different ways... I can not get the pictures to show up, not sure how to do that...
