I am amazed at the quality and variety of posters on this site, it is very interesting to see some peoples on line views, am truly enjoying my 2 bobs worth, lol

Ah yeah, but that's how they reel you in, see

Two bob to get in (but the small print includes 2 months of your life and more to run)

Yes, I'm sure there are those who would argue and feel offended etc. etc. etc. but it IS an interesting topic of conversation who would, and wouldn't be accepted on a jury for this trial from the general population. I have actually just sent off a letter in response to being called for jury duty, saying I'm needed at my place of employment (health professional). Haven't heard back yet! My Dad told me he was foreman on a jury many years ago where a student nurse had a baby unbeknowns to anyone else, and threw it down the laundry chute in the hospital. She was not convicted as it was determined she had 'disassociated herself' from the pregnancy....I thought that was quite a progressive decision considering this was back in the late sixties or early seventies. Keentoknow: I think the defence always ask pertinent questions before they decide on suitability for a jury and because of your so very sad history, they might discover that you are our very own Priscilla Dickie (ie someone who has suffered the same loss, but who we WS family know is strong, compassionate, fair, dignified and with a heart bigger than...than...than....Mt Everest!) I, for one, am very humbled to 'know' you and your thoughtfulness. :blowkiss:

"Relax, " said the night man,
"We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave! "

...just singing...lol.

I think it would be much more interesting if our on line names were used and we were dressed as some of the avatars displayed and turned up at court for duty

Yes actually I did wonder if it was the hair sample for DNA, and as I said possibly been rushed to the lab with least backlog to have it ready for Thursday bail hearing? Though it may be possible that they have decided to send some samples for further more specialized testing?

I'm tossing up between something found at the house and the specialised DNA testing...perhaps something along the lines of what's carried out at UWA "DNA profiling in humans (determination of ancestry)"

http://www.forensicscience.uwa.edu.au/research/dna

IMO I'm fairly convinced that there was only one perp; but it would certainly make for an interesting situation if there was hair found that could be linked to GBC through DNA profiling.

Yep ... always thought Hotel California was appropriate anthem for sleuthing communities

Thank goodness it doesn't apply to this planet

Next time I'm on the cusp of reincarnation, I'm putting down The Night Garden as preferred choice. And I want to be the blue one with the blanket ...

it used to be hard keeping up with lots of pages to read here on websleuths, but i have noticed people posting comments has slowed right down since there has been an arrest. at the moment 147 people logged on (42 members 105 guests)

Thank you very much for your very kind thoughts. :heartbeat:
I would not like to go through another trial...This happened when I made application to join the system...they asked how I would manage if I was selected. I said this person is not going to wind my watch for the rest of my life.
I was selected. Anita Cobbys dad joined the lifers board. He went down the same road. He was an asset to Corrections.

Hahahaha.....:floorlaugh:it would be a sea of sunflowers!!! And Makara would look very elegant, but with a sunflower on the end of her ciggie holder....CJ would have to come as a cow, but wouldn't have to bring the field of sunflowers with her because they'd already be there! But what about poor old Greg.....how boring, he'd have to come as himself!! Speaking of 'sunflowers'...one of the avatars used on WS is a painting which also hangs in the stairwell of one of the hospitals I work at, so whenever I'm there, I think of Allison...many times a day! Remember she had a picture of sunflowers in her living room? I'm sure she would love that we all think of her when we see them. Of course all scouting memorabilia makes me think of someone else however. My daughter's father was a cub/scout and we have bits of his childhood uniform.....yes, Wozzle has a woggle! (I think it can go in the Vinnie's basket for some unknowing child to play with).

Greg in a lime green mankini, surely :what:

Wondering if the sunflower painting you mentioned is the one I particularly like ? Next time I see it, I'll make a note of whose avvi it is

Then just like that we're back to avvis and their owners ....

Berri would be interesting, for sure. Would curl Mahony's toes with a swish of her wine-red cape

It is quite possible for further testing to involve things like leaf litter, blossom, seeds, twigs, and even soil, which can hide pollen. Perhaps they are looking for a connection between the area the body was found at and the motor vehicle which transported the perpetrator away from that scene. Also clothing worn by the perpetrator. (Even washed clothing can still give up microscopic pollen spores). Dr Lynne Milne of WA is an expert in this field. This technique was used for the first time in Australia by QPS in another murder case very successfully. Similar case - victim killed in house then transported to another area and left. Pollen on car, in car, perpetrator's clothes (washed), was what placed the perpetrator at both places. Convicted of murder and life imprisonment, but out in 12 years.

Wozzle....seeing that we are not able to do jury duty, maybe we could get a headcount on how many of us will be going to Brookfield to the cricket match to raise money for Allisons girls.

mmm, distance between scene and perp in other case was quite a distance, and apparently he was seen playing weekend at bernies as well, IMO, must be something unique to this particular spot, but seems well down the track, IMO

What can we say here, huh? So much dilligence and exacting efforts

all to be rewarded by a 12 year 'exchange' for someone's own, granted to them, own-personal-property life

Will we keep our best (i.e., the Lynne Milnes) or will addlepated parole boards send them overseas or worse -- into despair, disappointment and depression and eventual bitterness and disillusion

Make parole boards accountable please. Give us transparency. Make sense of this farce and all the tragedies

No? Too busy peddling wars for profit and focusing on the idiotic antics on the floor of parliament ? Oh ok. Sure. That's why we elect and empower you. What's life anyway, right. Who matters. Who cares

Well we bloody care. It's why we're here, attempting vicariously to put things to rights. Remember that, won't you, as you're drawing your last breath

I'm thinking it's something to do with the beard sample & they've possibly found hair from a third party on the clothes Allison was found in....both hairs may have been sent off for further analysis in Perth.

The beard sample is the most recent piece of possible evidence....whatever else police have has been in their hands for weeks now.

logical argument IMO, but i m punting on the pollen

Laserdisc I cannot believe that is you with all those emoticons you must be bored.

On another note just read CM Ipad version (so cannot link) and apparently new criminal code before parliament this week making life sentence mandatory for murder with non-parole period lifted from 15 to 20 years.

Should be up shortly on CM website.

After my forced break this week (over the weekend) have been able to get a bit of a grip on my websleuths addiction. Yes Hotel California is spot on.

Maybe beard hair follicles found as a result of the facial scratches - need to compare with current beard hair follicles? Just a thought and my opinion only.

Could it be possible that further testing could be something that possibly hasn't matched up to be to do with GBC?? Like i'm sure they have everything they needed to charge GBC. But i'm just saying i wonder if there is just this one thing that could match up with someone else (possibly an accomplice) if there is any. I know when they mentioned if anyone else would be charged they were saying no. But then cm had a report and in that it said that detective Ainsworth couldn't comment
