Yes, I'm sure there are those who would argue and feel offended etc. etc. etc. but it IS an interesting topic of conversation who would, and wouldn't be accepted on a jury for this trial from the general population. I have actually just sent off a letter in response to being called for jury duty, saying I'm needed at my place of employment (health professional). Haven't heard back yet! My Dad told me he was foreman on a jury many years ago where a student nurse had a baby unbeknowns to anyone else, and threw it down the laundry chute in the hospital. She was not convicted as it was determined she had 'disassociated herself' from the pregnancy....I thought that was quite a progressive decision considering this was back in the late sixties or early seventies. Keentoknow: I think the defence always ask pertinent questions before they decide on suitability for a jury and because of your so very sad history, they might discover that you are our very own Priscilla Dickie (ie someone who has suffered the same loss, but who we WS family know is strong, compassionate, fair, dignified and with a heart bigger than...than...than....Mt Everest!) I, for one, are very humbled to 'know' you and your thoughtfulness. :blowkiss:
