Hope he's up there answering to Natalie and the higher power. He has a lot of splainin to do!

I just don't feel bad.
....I'm not feelin it.
Looks like Joran is on his own. Him and Mamma.
jmo ya know

I cannot celebrate a death. This was not Karma. Did the man know about his son's behaviour/NH? Most likely. That said, the only Karma that will come around is to the JVDS. As it will and should. PVDS died a young death and his family is now grieving. PVDS may have held some answers to some questions, but he was never responsible for Natalee's murder.

Sorry, but I hold responsibility where it belongs. Enabler, yes. But, he did not murder. RIP and may he find forgiveness for what he knew and did not share for whatever reasons.....

The TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE....

No one is celebrating this man died...just no love loss.

Everyone is responsible for THEIR own actions....however, he was an enabler how many cases on this site....has a mom-dad-brother-sister that goes to any extreme to prevent a perp from facing consequences for the actions of wrong-doing, moral lapse of judgement and worse MURDER.

It is not my place to judge this man or anyone else's action....

just NO LOVE LOSS.

IMO, what he knew, ate at him. Guilt and stress can kill you, this is proof.
Wonder if 'golden boy' even cares...........
I feel bad for the younger boy.........that suffers in this family.

I saw the blurb....no love loss....just another enabler

Guilt can be very heavy on the heart. I have always thought that he was deep into the coverup of his son's Joran involvement in Natalie Holloway's disappearance. He enabled his son to get away with her death and disposal.

I did not mean to come across HEARTLESS......but he did what he did-said what he said-enabled,enabled,enabled...etc. Maybe after he is at the Pearly Gates......he might send his son a subtle message DO THE RIGHT THING....

Here's hoping that he left something in writing about the real events for that night.

Nancy Grace is talking about Paulus' death tonight.

Dave Holloway is on her show.

I really don't have hopes of the case being investigated further or that Joran will step forward at this late date. I was at first surprised yesterday when I realized that they still had Joran listed as a 'suspect,' but then I remembered they kept him listed as a suspect because with an open case, the files cannot be released to the family. Anyone who watched this case closely, knows Aruban LE and the powers that run the island, want that file to NEVER be released to the family. NEVER! :(

Natalee Holloway Suspect`s Father Dies Suddenly in Aruba

Shocking news...Not. Holding in that high level of stress can only last for so long. At least Natalee is back in the News, works for me.

Dear Paul - just tell Patsy that I sure do miss her...other than that...great job on taking your secrets to the grave...I have a feeling that your son will use your Death to his advantage...too bad that you won't get to feel what all of the Others that he has victimized and used have felt.

IMO

We should add a poll to see who thinks this might affect whether or not Aruba takes another run at Joran....

I just have to believe Aruban LE will be keeping an eye on Joran while he's in Aruba for his father's funeral.

Just have a feeling "somethin's gonna happen"

RIP to Paulus

Aruba is certainly safer than most places in the US and much safer than most islands in the Carribbean (besides Grand Cayman)

Statistics don't lie

they have one missing person really...look at our country

It’s how Aruba handled the whole situation. There was never going to be justice for Natalee. I am speaking of Aruba, not our issues here in the states. It would be devastating enough to have your child go missing in a foreign country, and then on top of that to have no cooperation from foreign LE. That for one is enough to put a person over the edge. I commend Natalee’s family for how they handled everything.

PVDS gets no free pass here...I remember PVDS was right there on video at the casino encouraging his son…Now we know where JVDS became so skilled at hustling.

Does not matter I nor anyone in my family will go there and spend 1 dollar of our money. There are plenty of places to go where American families are not treated so poorly. The Aruba natives survive on tourist $$$ why help them to survive when they have shown nothing but contempt and disdain fo even 1 American life lost.I am sure you would feel differently if it was a family member or someone you loved that this happened to.:twocents:

JMO, but I think Americans largely, and Natalee's family in particular, expected Aruba to respond as USA would have responded. I think many Americans became upset with the island of Aruba simply because their laws differ from ours, and are much more "suspect friendly" than ours. In fact, I think Beth takes great pains to point this out in her talks to different organizations: Be aware of the laws of foreign nations BEFORE you let your children visit there.

I'm not saying I think their laws are equal to ours or superior to ours, nor am I saying their laws are beneath ours or of lower justice than ours. I am saying that many of the commentators---Nancy Grace in particular---represented the legal differences as a "lack of cooperation" on the part of Aruba.

The Aruban legal system followed its own guidelines, and that disappointed and shocked many of us. Many construed this to mean there was a conspiracy to deliberately cover up LE's knowledge of Joran's guilt in Natalee's death......and while I think there "may have been" a conspiracy, I do not truly believe that Aruban law enforcement had anywhere near the legal evidence they would need to prosecute Joran. Do I wish their legal system was more like ours? Sure do. Do I wish that Natalee's murder was solved and that someone was held responsible? Yes, I do. Do I wish that Beth and her family never, ever had to face this situation? With all my heart. But none of my feelings, and none of what I've learned has come close to believing in a conspiracy theory. IDK, maybe I am slow on the uptake!

Do I believe Joran was responsible for Natalee's death? I think I do. Do I believe his dad may have helped him? I think I do. I just can't celebrate this man's death. I've lost loved ones unexpectedly, and I know how badly Anita and his sons must be feeling right now.....it's not something I would wish on my worst enemy.

They might, but sadly I don't think anything will come of it. With or without his father, Joran has managed to evade justice for almost five years. MOO

I guess you have never been to many of the islands then

I live in Florida where we have many of the "headline" grabbing cases

Jennifer Kesse went missing in Orlando around the time that Natalee went missing in Aruba...they didn't bring in marines and jets nor dig in landfills for Jennifer

we have lots of missing people here...much of what people spout off about Aruba is just knee jerk stuff IMHO. There were tourists held up at gun point in Bahamas recently....Antiqua had a honeymoon couple from wales killed in a $600 a night villa...a woman on a cruise was just murdered on an Antiquan beach

Jamaica has the 3rd highest murder rate in the world

The Aruba "natives" as you call them did more to find Natalee than most any place in this country does to find a missing person. Let's get real here

There was NO evidence ....hearsay doesn't hold up in their courts...they held Joran and his friends (who apparently had nothing to do with it) for months....they wouldn't have spent a night in jail here

More money , time and effort was put into finding Natalee than has been put into finding missing people IN THIS COUNTRY

I don't "support" or condone JVDS....but I find it pretty hypocritical to be so happy to hear that his dad died. I also find it ridiculous to blame a very safe and friendly island for what one kid (probably) did.

Maybe we should "boycott" the many states that screw up things here ??

Way back around the time Natalee went missing, someone had put up a website. I can't find it anywhere and can't remember the URL, except that it was short.

The main page had a picture of a boat and sand. IIRC it also had a contact phone number.

The site had several pages that included photos. There was a photo of an old mattress on a dirty floor with broken glass. I think this was in some shack somewhere. There was also a photo of some strange, eerie alter type thing, with flowers and a picture of Natalee on it. If anyone knows of it could you please post the link?

Thanks a bunch! :)

Oh well...what comes around goes around. I don't feel bad for him or his family. They didn't feel crap for Beth Holloway. So......Karma is what it is. ;)

Wow!

I completely missed this anniversary. :(

Gosh, four years. Who would have ever dreamed we be sitting here 4 years later with Natalee's case unsolved.......well, IMHO, it is solved,.........it's just that ARUBA chooses not to punish the guilty.

I'll never forget this case nor Natalee Holloway.

God bless Beth, Dave, and all the extended family and friends who worked so dillegently to recover Natalee.

RIP sweet, beautiful Natalee. We remember you.

fran

No jurisdiction in the US could "punish the guilty" with no real evidence...there is not enough evidence to get a guilty verdict

why do people assume that Aruba should employ "vigilante" tactics?

how about worrying about Jennifer Kesse, Trenton Duckett, Haleigh Cummings...all right in Florida

There is NO way to know where her body may have gone..after doing an expensive and dangerous ocean search, never done for all the many other people lost at sea I don't think they should expose divers to those cave conditions..
and anyone who says that should do the diving themselves

after all this time it is highly unlikely that she will be found, sad but true...

there are so many unsolved cases right here in this country however...I don't see ocean searches for them or cave diving and rarely even landfill searches, not unless they have reasonable evidence to search a specific place
