I think this is a pretty big clue:

http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/11/23/aruba.bone.found/index.html?hpt=T2

"Beth accepts the forensic conclusions, is emotionally exhausted from the inexplicably long wait, and deeply disappointed in the time and manner in which she learned of the results," said attorney John Q. Kelly.

As much as I don't like to see people "hounded", I'd sure like to see Peter deVries ride all of them and I do hope the media blast Aruba Justice for this charade they caused with all their secrecy.
If anything killed my last feelings for Aruba, this is it. How they play with people's minds and torment grieving parents is unbelievable. Let El Nino pound those waves even harder.

I am so sad for the Holloways tonight - this treatment is beyond despicable...

This is what I know he did after leaving college in the Netherlands - "In 2008, he moved on, this time to Muang Ake, a suburb of Bangkok, Thailand, to study business at Rangsit University. Then, no longer choosing to be a student, vdS dropped out and bought a small cafe near the campus. In August of 2009, calling himself a "professional poker player" he joined the Asia Pacific Poker tour. VdS returned to Aruba after his father's death, in February 2010."

Girls who go missing from this area, near Bangkok, are never missed - many have lived on the street since childhood...

Last summer, I read an investigative report about women/girls who have gone missing in Aruba. Does anyone else remember seeing this and possibly remember where it was from? It wasn't the Aruba website and I spent hours today searching through articles by or about Peter de Vries, without finding it. There are a whole lot more than Aruba tells us, from their site!

My gut feeling is Natalee was not VdStoops first victim and Stephany was surely not his second - he just got lazy, or maybe he sincerely thought people would believe that stupid room invasion story - after all, he got away with several stupid stories in Aruba...

I read a comment on an article written about vdS's incarceration in Peru, from someone living in near Lima. The jest was "This prison is awesome" - 'for $500 you can have someone taken out - forever.'

2 out of the 3 judges who reviewed vdS's confession to murder, voted to dismiss the confession - waiting for a forth (if this causes a tie there will be a 5th) they need 3 judges to agree one way or another, to proceed.

Up thread there is a comment about vdS being placed into the GP after trial - isn't he already? I know they had him isolated early on - but photos taken since then, of him hanging with the boys - led me to believe he's pretty well "mainstreamed", at least as integrated as the other infamous detainees are.

This new finding begs the answer to; "Aruba, whose daughter is it?"

Prayers for Natalee's family.

My problem is that I don't trust any of them. I am so afraid they switched bones. If not now, earlier in the case. I believe they have hidden and done away with all evidence. God forgive me, but I hate them all.

I can't help feel the same way. I hate them all too.

This past week has to have been TORTURE for Dave and Beth.

It's so funny how they immediately said within a day or two of finding the jawbone that it was a young female, caucasion, with European ethnicity.

Now, they don't know if it is a male or female's? WTF?????

I wonder if Dave and Beth even got a chance to actually physically see the jawbone.

The experts on the NG show even told in detail how to determine if male/female, white/other race by the bumps on t he jawbone and teeth.

Makes no sense to me at all!

If I were Beth and Dave, I would fight to have the jawbone tested in the US.

Snipped. BBM.

I would gladly contribute to that fund; however, i would not want him to be taken out "forever", but daily beatings/torturing/poisoning would be awesome!

I just found this regarding 1 of Joran's 2 brothers.

He's attending college here in the US (Boston).

I hope I don't get in trouble posting this.

http://www.thebostonchannel.com/r/23798081/detail.html

ETA: Boston is in Massachusettes and wasn't the couple who found the jawbone from Massachusettes? Hummmm????

His oldest brother, Valentijn, has been attending college in the US for several years.

After watching their interview, I don't believe for a second that the couples that found the jaw bone had anything to do with it other that having the misfortune of stumbling across it.

http://www.wfsb.com/news/25889547/detail.html

Just by chance that Joran murdered someone else and dumped their body in the water: Maybe they could tell the age of the jawbone and from where it may have washed up. Maybe at least the direction. Could that lead them to Natalee? If Aruba would be the ones figuring this all out then we can probably forget it.

I don't think I could "contribute" to the fund - I was raised Catholic and still struggle with the whole "guilt thing". But I would GLADLY write up the blow by blow details and put them into a blog! I'm sure we'd have a huge following!

I'm with you, I do hope he is found guilty and has a very long, miserable life in Castro Castro or any of the homey detention facilities found in Peru! I could (in good conscious) contribute to his band-aid fund, so his keepers could keep putting him back together in between beating/torturing/poisoning!

Oh, no, no, no. I didn't mean to make it sound like that. I just thought it was ironic. No offense.

And I only found out tonight about his brother attending college in the US.

They have to be concerned enough to in order to follow up or investigate. They're only concerned about protecting tourism and having human bones and body parts littering the beaches of their small island isn't good for tourism.

They don't seem to be particularly concerned that this human jaw bone belongs to someone else. Just relieved it isn't Natalee's. In fact, Taco Stein was downright jovial about it during his presser. :furious: Apparently he's too obtuse to understand that this doesn't reflect well for his 'small island'.

Aruba's attorney general, Taco Stein, told The Associated Press that officials do not know how old the bone is or where it might have come from.
"It's anybody's guess," he said. "We're a small island."

What an odd response. :waitasec:

BBM - Huh? Please tell me NO ONE is THAT dim, right?

Once again... ARUBA WHOSE DAUGHTER IS THIS?

I think that they, just like me, figured that somebody bought the bone from some medical supply place and planted it as a hoax. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple more bones show up or if they already where found but the info wasn't made public.

I agree the report of him laughing is just what it is to him, a good laugh for him. He knows that the body is not possible to find. I strongly suspect his father disposed of it for him in a manner that will never be found.

Joran will take it to his grave and if he is released into general population it may be possible that he reaches his grave before all of us think. I do not think for one moment that Stephany's father will allow him after trial to be kept protected. After the trial and guilty it is a free for all on him.

The laugh, I expected this to not be Natalee

If the past is any predictor, Joran will rise to some pinacle of
absurdity in the prison, and then ..... snuff! I seriously doubt he
will make it out without spending time in a hospital (complaining and
making charges all the way). His history in Peru has only started.

So it took them ten days to determine the wisdom tooth wasn't from Natalee because she had hers removed?! :waitasec: Why the big build up? Why the games and charade? I just don't get it. I didn't think they could get any more despicable and pathetic. I was wrong. :(

Unfortunately, I think that authorities are trying to make the Holloway family suffer for causing problems for their precious tourism industry. There evidently is just NO humanity. This is just unbelivebaly sad.

Apologize in advance for not reading all of the posts. But, I have been reading posts from when Natalie first disappeared and also contributed on another crime website.

IMO, from the beginning, I think the key to the location of where Natalie's body was dispatched is with finding out about Paulus' (Joran's father's) connections with boat captains, etc. on the island, surrounding areas, who could have ferried Natalie's body out of the vicinity.

bolded by me..

I agree 100% with what you posted....

IMO...Yes...The odds are very very slim...that Natalie's body/remains...may NEVER be found...and therefore Joran will never be punished for his crime on her....

BUT....we have Joran in prison...awating sentencing/trial for murder of another girl..which IMO..he will be found GUILTY..

The odds are very very good....Joran WILL be punished/guilty of murder...and ordered to live in a LIVING HELL...in a Peruvian prison...and most likely...meet his death..there

So in the end....Joran will PAY...IMO....

ETA...IMO....His being jailed in a Peruvian prison..is more severe..than being jailed/prison in Aruba..if he had been found guilty of Natalie's death..Aruba authority/Joran's father/Joran were friends..and would "coddle" Joran in Aruba prison..then release him.."early" (for good behavior)
His being in Peru...satisfies me...He will get his.......
True, but wouldn't it be nice if before he dies in prison, he'd do the right thing and give up the details of where Natalee is or how she died, so her mother and the rest of her family could get some closure???

Yup, I think the whole family knows exactly what happened as well as half of that corrupt island. I don't think it would do much good to question the younger brother, though. From what I see, it wouldn't surprise me if he follows in his brother's footsteps. Especially under the guidance of his mother.

I'm sorry to sound like a schoolmarm, but talking about the younger brother this way seems harsh and unfair. To my knowledge, he has never been implicated in a crime.

I'm not sure what crime the mother has committed either, but since she wasn't even in the Western Hemisphere at the time, I'm reasonably sure she had nothing to do with NH's disappearance.

I realize AVDS was in Netherlands at the time of the so called 'disappearance'. (That's probably why Paulus was out playing with his son in the casino the evening of Natalee's disappeance). That certainly doesn't mean that she wasn't fully apprised of the situation via phone or upon her return. It's my OPINION that she knows full well what occurred and was instrumental in the ongoing and never ending cover up.

Same goes for his younger brother. This is my OPINION based on everything I've seen and read over the past five and half years.

By the same token I think the Kalpoes know what happened. Their
statement to Joran in the presence of police was to the point and
specific: 'You could get fifteen years for what you did'. (that is a
close paraphrase).

That doesn't sound like murder but it does sound like disposing of
a body, or complicity in a death (mansalughter)?. The Kalpoes had
something specific in mind and they have information, still.

To all - a good Holiday. Take care...

He certainly learned fast enough that "constipation" isn't the thing to be complaining about to get to a hospital and out. Lol.
