I am so sad for the Holloways tonight - this treatment is beyond despicable...
This is what I know he did after leaving college in the Netherlands - "In 2008, he moved on, this time to Muang Ake, a suburb of Bangkok, Thailand, to study business at Rangsit University. Then, no longer choosing to be a student, vdS dropped out and bought a small cafe near the campus. In August of 2009, calling himself a "professional poker player" he joined the Asia Pacific Poker tour. VdS returned to Aruba after his father's death, in February 2010."
Girls who go missing from this area, near Bangkok, are never missed - many have lived on the street since childhood...
Last summer, I read an investigative report about women/girls who have gone missing in Aruba. Does anyone else remember seeing this and possibly remember where it was from? It wasn't the Aruba website and I spent hours today searching through articles by or about Peter de Vries, without finding it. There are a whole lot more than Aruba tells us, from their site!
My gut feeling is Natalee was not VdStoops first victim and Stephany was surely not his second - he just got lazy, or maybe he sincerely thought people would believe that stupid room invasion story - after all, he got away with several stupid stories in Aruba...
I read a comment on an article written about vdS's incarceration in Peru, from someone living in near Lima. The jest was "This prison is awesome" - 'for $500 you can have someone taken out - forever.'
2 out of the 3 judges who reviewed vdS's confession to murder, voted to dismiss the confession - waiting for a forth (if this causes a tie there will be a 5th) they need 3 judges to agree one way or another, to proceed.
Up thread there is a comment about vdS being placed into the GP after trial - isn't he already? I know they had him isolated early on - but photos taken since then, of him hanging with the boys - led me to believe he's pretty well "mainstreamed", at least as integrated as the other infamous detainees are.
This new finding begs the answer to; "Aruba, whose daughter is it?"
Prayers for Natalee's family.
