Have you guys seen this yet?

Just saw that on HLN.

It was termed "Bloody prints" however can't be confirmed yet where it is from. Also mentioned animal activity in the area.

:waitasec:

For starters, this guy is described as a sugar daddy. He is liquid. This leads me to deduce that he bought help. The locals down there, GG is a dream to them. A guy who pays in cash. So he may have paid off say, two locals, to , oh, I don;t know, take her body out on their boat, out to sea, to dispose??

I would ask around at the local marina's.

You are so right about this gajonka! He starts flashing the money around, the locals will be all over him! I'm not all that sure that they would be loyal to him & keep their mouths shut, but the money would certainly grab their attention. Good call & something the police should certainly think about & check out.

This article has some detail to it that I haven't seen regarding surveillance footage....

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/...nce_n_929194.html#s326251&title=Robyn_Gardner

Investigators, including experts from the FBI, are studying surveillance footage that purportedly shows Giordano behaving strangely on the day when Gardner was reported missing, repeatedly moving his car, appearing in footage wearing different toupees and popping up on camera at 6:02 p.m., shortly after he says Gardner went missing, according to ABC News.

Yes this is interesting. Sounds like he popped up on camera at 6 p.m. because he had just parked the vehicle again and was heading down to the beach to report her missing. It would poke a hole in his story, that footage. It also would indicate he drove to another part of the island during those two hours. Regarding the toupee, perhaps he prepared for going into the water.

Possible sequence of events: They eat at restaurant, drive to rocky point near water 200 yards away, rapes and strangles her on beach (it IS secluded there), puts her back in vehicle, drives to other side of island, throws body off cliff, drives back, reports her missing.

Sleeping pills, then vodka... So let's go snorkeling? This guy really didn't think his story through enough.

I guess ALE has known about the life insurance policy, which is why they must have stated early on that they didn't believe she was alive any longer.

What a horrible story and motive. I think a jealous rage would be better than for money. So sad...

True, the accomplices could always rat him out... but if it were the case, I have a feeling that he thought like this:

$ from Ins. policy: one million to 500,000

$ to pay tweedledeee and tweedledee 2: $50 - 60k each.

Looking at the math, he has PLENTY OF ROOM. Look for large purchases, jet ski buys, boat buys, ragers at casino's by panhandlers... there could be a new BIG BUYER in town and let's join him for a Q&A session.

Is there a specific protocal for that?

I would assume one had recoil in court for that ,and the insurance company would have to present a case based on more than the ''belief ".

After a person is not quilty in court they are not guilty by law ,so I dont understand what grounds the insurance company would have (never having worked in insurance or law) Just wondering.. Although I am glad they can protect themselfs in this way. Hopefully GG wont get any money at all.

Start reading at around #47 ending at #52. It's kind of like OJ being not-guilty in the criminal trail, but was then found guilty via a civil wrongful death suit. Just because you aren't found guilty by a jury of your peers, doesn't necessarily mean that you are home free.

The irony is that he is a surveillance nut with his own house having cameras all over the place, and what will bring him down is a surveillance camera invalidating his story.

HLN also reported she didn't appear to feel well when at the restaurant. Can't imagine she would've wanted to go snorkeling. Also agree *if* he killed her, his story isn't well thought out at all.

All of the life insurance policies that I have ever heard of, require that the person whose life is being ensured sign their consent, unless it's an immediate family member, child, etc. I think they require signatures of consent even for spouses now. That is to prevent someone from ensuring the life of a stranger or someone they intend to kill. How could this happen without her consent or did she consent? Why would you do that?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but how does someone take out a life insurance policy on a person who isn't related, married to them, or a verifiable life partner? Can this be done?

Under a typical life or accidental death where the policy is underwritten the answer is no. If there is no insurable interest, the coverage will be declined.

With these online accident only type policies, it's all done online by a computer and the checks and balances are different. It's very rare for someone to actually make a claim on one of these types of policies.

Reward?

I think we need to close the book on the insurance discussions/posts. If the answer to the question is "yes, he solicited interest in a policy." then we have MOTIVE. He does not even need to secure it- looking for it is enough. Let's apply your impressive minds to non-insurance related ideas.

Here's one: Is there a reward? My guess is, similar to anybody GG approached with his money clip, that people down there will not talk unless they see some kind of monetary incentive. I DONT KNOW of a reward... but there should be one. The economics of earth is bad... people are looking to ways to make money easy.

I believe witnesses exist, and they are not talking because they are waiting at home saying to themselves: "Show Me The Money!"

Is there a reward? Let's send a wire donw there, at least have them invent one. ANd let's solve this and put this guy in the iron maiden.

Your biggest fan,

and pal,

The Gajonka

2 theories here.

#1) He may have been very coercive and talked her into it.

or

#2) It was done online and he had enough of her information to do a digital signature and no one would be the wiser.

I heard Vinnie saying that they had actually known each other a couple of years.

No disrespect intended here. People just have questions to try to wrap their head around a case.

interesting.

is this the site you found that might need WS verification for post?

Google "robynlgardner" and you will see it.

Interesting that in Feb 2010 she chose that photo. Apparently the modeling shots did not come till later. Perhaps Gary helped with those shots.

I knew he had a digital camera but I've not heard what photos he took until I read this...

The most recent shocker was the discovery of graphic photographs on Giordano's digital camera. The photos show Gardner in sexual positions with "parts of" Giordano, according to Aruba's Solicitor General Taco Stein. The images, a source tells PEOPLE are "beyond pornographic."

Jones and Gardner's boyfriend both refuse to believe Gardner would have sex with Giordano or pose for the photos.

"She would never, ever consent to anything like that," says Forester.

I will say this, she is not a stranger to domestic violence and neither are the men in her life, at least the last three anyway. I feel bad that she is missing and probably dead. I will say that I am not real happy with the pics that have surfaced of her.

This begins to get a little odd. In the face of what might be irrefutable evidence that she DID pose for the pics, and DID have relations with him, it calls into question her friend's vehement denial that she would also snorkel. How well did they actually know her? How predictable was her behavior, really? I'd say, not very predictable.

Before I would make such an absolute statement that she would NOT do any of this stuff (snorkel, have sex with GG, pose for pics) . . . I think I'd wait to see how credible the pics were.

I also didn't realize that she came up with a concrete lie about where she was going and who she was with in Aruba. This is a woman who was REALLY living on the edge, especially considering her age.
