It seems this is becoming another cold case. Thank God at least for the Aruban authorities for sticking to their guns on this. I hope they continue to do so.

Me too. But I am really worried about them being able to keep him in custody unless they find her soon. He seems to have done a good job disposing of the evidence. I hope he does not walk away from this. :mad:
 
Giordano has told authorities that Gardner, of Frederick, never made it back to shore after the two went snorkeling. Aruban authorities have said they believe Gardner might be the victim of foul play and that Giordano was involved.

After his next hearing, a judge could order Giordano released, prosecutors could proceed to trial, or Giordano could be held longer while prosecutors continue to investigate the matter, Angela said

I guess JB thought it was more important to be seen in NYC out to dinner with BW than to be in Aruba for this hearing. jmo

As has been pointed out, he has no authority in Aruba
GG has two Aruban Lawyers who can actually practise law there
What could JB do there that he can't do over the phone
Its pointless

If there is enough evidence to take this to court, Aruban LE are certainly keeping it quiet
There is nothing new to report , so HLN has backed off
Nothing much coming out of Aruba

ON October 31st, GG goes back to court
LE will have to have stronger evidence against him or he will be released
It doesn't mean the investigation into RGs disappearance will stop

After all of this time has passed, I just don't know what they are going to find, if they have nothing substantial now

GG may have to answer many questions in the US about criminal activity, but I don't imagine he will have anything more to say about RG

Sources report that the appeal for release entered by Gary Giordano has been declined. It appears that the only suspect in the disappearance of Robyn Gardner is going to have to remain in police custody while Aruban authorities investigate. It's been a bit of a low-key case in the past few weeks, with no new leads being released in the search for the missing Maryland woman. Investigators finally used cadaver dogs, but nothing was found.

Meanwhile, Gary Giordano is sticking to his claims that he is innocent in any wrongdoing. What evidence there is shows otherwise, though. It's also telling of the lawyers he chose to defend him. One of the lawyers chosen to represent Giordano is none other than Jose Baez, who represented Tot Mom Casey Anthony. It looks like ol' Jose isn't getting anywhere this time. Gary Giordano is in deep trouble!

The prime suspect in the murder of missing Maryland woman Robyn Gardner is due back in court for a hearing later this week, but Gary Giordano's defense lawyer exclusively revealed that the prosecution still has a tough challenge, if he is eventually charged.

"They won’t have a slam dunk, I can assure you," Aruban defense attorney Chris Lejuez told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.



"I am not confident that he will never been charged, but I am confident that if he is that I will have a lot of things to say regarding this case," he said adamantly.

Giordano will appear in court for a closed door hearing on Friday where the prosecution will present their argument to keep him detained longer, but as Lejuez explained, "The judge doesn’t need any new hard evidence to keep him. The bar is not set any higher to detain him.

I was under the impression that each time he went before a judge to further his detainment, the prosecutor had to present new and stronger evidence
Apparently not.
 
Jose Baez was just now on The jane Velez Mitchell show, and talking about 'his client', according to him. And he claimed that Giodarno is an innocent man, who went snorkeling with Robyn and barely escaped from the heavy currents with his own life. Baez is such a freaking liar. :mad:

ETA: and also he said the ONLY reason that Giodarno is still in jail is because of backlash from the Natalie Holloway case. GMAFB

I am waiting for the day, if they decide to detain GG further, for JB to land in Aruba and they refuse him entry and put him right back on the plane to the US. The decision is with the judge and JB saying it a backlash from NH is like slapping the judge in the fact. He has no common sense.

How does on snorkel with sneakers on? jmo

JB also claimed that Casey Anthony was innocent, but that didn't make it so. Seems as though he thinks that if he claims someone is innocent, that is the same as the truth. Maybe he is as delusional and as some of the clients he defends. JMO

GG seems to be a man of many personalities



Farago said Giordano insisted on having her email password so he could ensure she was not seeing anyone else. If she said she was going to the grocery store, he would want photographic proof. Sometimes, she said, he would spy on her and text her details of her outfit so she knew he was watching. He even hid in the woods behind her home to watch her, dressing in a deer costume, she said.

"He's Mr. Perfect," she said, and then he's "totally different."

And then, another opinion...

Though his house suggests a man who values his privacy, Giordano is also gregarious and fun, said Eric Curtis, a friend who said he regularly hangs out with him in restaurants and bars. He said he's never even seen Giordano raise his voice.

"He'd talk to anybody, male or female, and within minutes, he'd have anybody laughing," Curtis said
