Atlantic City Eastbound Strangler 4 Women Found Dead behind Motel Egg Harbor Twp, Nov 2006

I viewed the videos published on youtube concerning Dennis Gaskill and am having a difficult time making any connection to the AC4. Bits and pieces that are interesting in and of themselves but I just can't determine if there's an actual link.

The name Barbara and Amber on a page which the two gentlemen attribute to the names of Gaskill's wife and step-daughter. Okay, so maybe the stash is Gaskill's.

A check with the doorman at the Crazy Horse and he recognizes Gaskill from his days at Pistol Pete's on the BHP. Describes him as a real whack job. Still nothing of substance.

One of the gentleman who engaged in this investigation of Gaskill describes himself as a retired Trenton homicide detective. So he's credible, at least in my opinion. I would think that he might be one who could possibly gain access, however confidential, to the thinking inside The Atlantic County Prosecutors Office. That doesn't appear to have happened.

So, my opinion (and that's all it is), is that the two qualified gentleman did their level best at trying to tie Gaskill to the 2006 murders but came up short. Lots of innuendo with very little substance.

I'm surprised those two didn't stroll Pacific Ave. and show Gaskill's picture around to some of the old-timers who may have worked those corners during Oct-Nov 2006. If there were answers to be had that's where they'd find them.

So I'm neutral about whether or not Gaskill might be considered The Eastbound Strangler.

One bit I did get a kick out of though. When they asked the person who found the stash about how he came upon it he replied “astral projection”. Is that what they're calling Angel Dust these days? I must be getting' old.

As always, just my opinion.
Ha, I thought that was weird too.

I couldn't find what his previous felony charge was that made him not be able to possess firearms. In my search the only other case I could find was where he stole some ammo, a shot glass, a t-shirt and various other items that in total amounted to $351.93. This happened at the outfitter store in PA on 10/1/09.

Another thing they mentioned in the article (which is from the Berks-Mont news) is that he had additional charges pending at the time he was detained.

Possibly a probation violation. I picked that up but didn't post it.

As a follow-up to Dennis Gaskill I thought I'd point out that a fellow poster did a rather thorough job analyzing the drawings.

I'm on the fence with this Gaskill guy as the two men investigating him sought insight from John Kelly the profiler who has offered up a $25,000 reward. It doesn't appear that he was fully convinced of Gaskill's involvement.
That forum doesn't work for me any more. Every time I go there it's just one post from you about the NJ wind farm. Could it be because I am using tapatalk?

I don't know if it's tapatalk but if you can access the thread it starts at post #589 on page 40.

Those videos taken by the crew that did the Gaskill investigation really give one a close look at the crime scene behind the Golden Key. Among the tidbits gathered was that John Kelly stated that the women had their feet on the embankment when they were found. If one is trying to determine exactly what position the women were found in that info might clarify it a bit.

John Kelly posted a profile early on in the investigation so I wonder if he was privy to crime scene photos or inside information. He seemed rather certain of his statement.

I just finished up reading through entire sub-forum atlantic city serial killer: possible link ro LISK and GB4?

Wow, I've narrowed it down a bit since reading through everything but wow.

Does anyone here have any suspicions about HA? (KR's hubby)

I don't, nor do I know of any news reports that note that he'd been questioned by investigators.

Sometimes you can read a news article several times before recognizing a small point that wasn’t obvious in previous readings. I’m referring to this NJ.com article which I have referenced many times.

http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2016/11/10_years_later_the_atlantic_city_serial_killer_rem.html

“One day before her death, Raffo was with a customer, a North Jersey doctor, who had a room at the now-shuttered Trump Taj Mahal. At about 5 a.m. on Nov. 19, the law enforcement official said, Raffo told the man she was going out to buy drugs and would return. When she did not, the doctor called her several times, receiving no answer.

Using Raffo's cell phone records, investigators tracked down and interviewed the doctor, ultimately clearing him of suspicion because surveillance video from the hotel and casino appeared to confirm his account.”

What I failed to pick up on previous readings was the “surveillance video from the hotel and casino” bit. It would be natural that investigators would look at hotel cameras but there is confirmation now that they looked at casino cameras as well.

At 5:00 am it wouldn’t be too difficult picking up Ms. Raffo travelling through the casino floor. In an effort to help visualize her path I’ve included a few photos of the Taj Mahal’s exit on Pennsylvania Ave. Also included are photos of Resorts entrance/exits on both Pennsylvania and S. North Carolina Aves.

The fact that she was seeking drugs, whether it was crack for herself or powder cocaine to bring back to the doctor is relevant here. In either case, it doesn’t appear that she was “on duty” at the time.

Ms. Raffo’s movements in the last hours of her life are the most information we have to go on. What is obvious is that at some point along the way she did get into a vehicle with the person who killed her. Why?

As a follow-up to my previous post about the area surrounding The Resorts Casino, I came across this post on Facebook. This post, along with the previous one, should underscore just how dangerous the area surrounding The Resorts Casino actually is.

“I invite you to TEAMCHEKA’S 5TH ANNUAL THANKSGIVING IN ATLANTIC CITY!! As you may recall, my little sister Francesca Alvarado was missing since March 17th 2012, when she was last seen leaving her Philadelphia home to Atlantic City, NJ. She was allegedly last seen at the Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. She went there with an acquantiance; he returned the next day, without Franchesca. He stated that she decided to take a walk at 2am, and he didn’t hear from her. He figured she would find her way home, allegedly.”
https://www.facebook.com/FindaCheka/videos/1374224099277166/

The post concerns Francesca Alvarado who I had mentioned in earlier posts and had provided a link to her own thread here on websleuths. To make a long sad story short, her foot was found inside a sneaker on the beach of Ocean City, NJ – a short drive south of AC.

The individual that she had driven with from Philadelphia to AC is named Tracy Williams who was apparently residing in the Kensington section of that city at the time of her disappearance. Unknown if he is a native of Philadelphia.
http://www.philly.com/philly/columnists/ronnie_polaneczky/20120531_What_happened_to_Franchesca_Alvarado_.html

The family of Francesca Alvarado still travel to AC and post fliers around seeking help to find her killer. At Thanksgiving 2016 the family was handing out free food outside a church at S North Carolina Ave and Pacific Ave. in AC. God bless them.

Is anyone else starting to see a pattern here?

"The last time Franchesca has been seen is on camera around Resorts Casino and the Borgata in Atlantic City on Mar 17."

Ms. Alvarado was last seen at The Resorts Casino and this Facebook post confirms that she was picked up on surveillance cameras.

Ms. Raffo possibly cut through Resorts as well leaving the Taj on her way to get drugs. Unless she was intercepted on Pennsylvania Ave.

Would they still have it? Maybe they already reviewed it but didn't release anything about what they saw?

It took ten years for it to come out that Ms. Raffo's last client was a North Jersey Doctor and that he was cleared via surveillance cameras. If she left the Taj by cutting through Resorts then hopefully they tracked her through there as well. I remember reading somewhere that the The Prosecutor's Office has a whole room full of evidence concerning this case. I'll have to look for it.

It's very possible that they have her movements on video if she headed back to Ocean Ave. They may have been reluctant to involve another casino (Resorts) and therefore didn't release all of what they know.

I find it ironic that if one were to track Ms. Raffo's movements on the morning of Nov. 19, 2006 then it possibly could mirror Francesca Alvarado's movements at 2:00 am on the morning of Mar 17, 2012. That's why her case has become interesting, at least to me.

What sort of person takes a woman on a date to Atlantic City and then leaves without taking her home with him? And then she turns up dead! When pressed he refuses to take a lie detector test. - Just my opinion.

Just to add in- a lot of things thrown to shore in AC actually wind up Washing to shore in ocean city. Check out a map of the area and you'll see why.
I would imagine Cheka was killed in AC .

Raffo-Alvarado.gif

No matter which direction it apparently goes this case continually returns full circle to focus on Kim Raffo’s movements on the early morning hours of Nov 19, 2006.

She leaves a client, a N. Jersey doctor, at 5:00 am from The Taj Mahal casino “to go get drugs”. Her body, along with three others, is found in a ditch behind the Golden Key motel at 2:30 pm Nov 20, 2006. Worldwide media coverage ensues. Flash forward to 2012.

On March 17, 2012 a young lady by the name of Franchesca Alvarado goes on a date with an older man named Tracy Williams Sr. They take a trip from Philadelphia, where both reside, to Atlantic City. As this article states:
“He returned. She did not. Her family reported her missing March 17. He agreed to be questioned by police but got a lawyer when asked to take a polygraph. The investigation hit a wall, then seemed to fizzle out.”
http://www.philly.com/philly/news/breaking/Missing_Philly_womans_family_turns_despair_into_charity_in_Atlantic_City.html

The family of Ms. Alvarado become frantic and initiate trips to AC to hand out fliers with her picture hoping to gather some small piece of information concerning her fate. In late 2013 “A fisherman in September found a severed foot washed ashore at Corson's Inlet State Park in Ocean City. A DNA test revealed the appendage belonged to Alvarado.”

In the months following the discover of the bodies behind the Golden Key a number of suspects named Coles, Schlue, Hessee, Oelson are questioned by authorities but no charges come of it. Years later an individual name Dennis Gaskill is pulled into the mix but the evidence against him is shaky, to say the least.

But there is one individual who can be placed in the area where two women were last seen alive. If the information that the sister of Ms. Alvarado provided is reliable then a surveillance camera located inside The Resorts Casino captured the last images of her sister before she mysteriously disappeared.

Is it mere coincidence that the last images of Kim Raffo alive were captured by cameras inside The Taj Mahal and apparently tracked her movements across the casino floor to possibly exit towards the adjacent Resorts Casino?

In the ten years since the bodies were discovered behind the Golden Key there has been very little information released and no new suspects to the case named. However, we do know the name of the person who brought Franchesca Alvarado to Atlantic City on March 17, 2012 and, apparently ditched her there, only to have her toenail painted foot-in-a-sneaker wash up on an inlet in nearby Ocean City, NJ.

Who is this Tracy Williams Sr.?

For starters one can look at this petition on change.org perhaps started by the Alvarado family before her eventual fate was discovered.

As always, just my opinion.

Ps: I realize that I’ve continually posted rather lengthy posts here over the course of the past few months. In an age of transparency it’s been an effort to publish research gathered from just about all of the news articles that have covered this case.

With the lack of any official new suspects being named in the past nine and a half years it’s been difficult, to say the least, to try and drawn some kind of conclusion. Everyone wants the answer to who killed these women.

As tenuous of a link that it is, the connection between two women being last seen alive in the area surrounding The Resorts Casino is too compelling to ignore. But at least in one case we do have an individual who was officially questioned by Law Enforcement.

But the investigation was stopped in it’s tracks when he clammed-up and lawyered-up.

"It was about a year and a half ago when Franchesca went to Atlantic City with a male friend.

That friend told investigators Alvarado left their hotel room in the morning and simply never returned."

Cynical I truly applaud your efforts in finding whomever is responsible for these murders. Please don't give up, you may hold the key and not even know it.
