I'm a pretty simple thinker so I just thought the mention of the chocolate wrappers was significant because the same/similar wrappers were found with CC. Like the police were sharing a bit of info about the evidence they have linking CC to EK. But it does sound creepy doesn't it? Abducted child and lolly wrappers. Ugh!!

I'm just astounded that CC was returned home. I really wonder if someone else 'rescued' her and dropped her off at the showgrounds. I'm afraid to think of what happened to her during those 40 or so hours. But the main thing is she is back with her family. With their love and the support to express her trauma over time, I think she has a good chance to recover.

This is an interesting theory...

That someone else took CC from EK... And deposited her at the show grounds...

I see this as viable... And though accessory to the crime... May just have saved CC's life...

Me neither This was pretty obvious to me from the start. Classic abduction case by a pedophile, straight out of the books. jmo The only thing that is different from many similar cases is that he didn't killer within hours of abducting her.

2) I doubt she'd be sitting/ walking so comfortably if she had internal injuries.
The sooner the case finishes the sooner CC can be a little girl again. With the right people around her she may totally forget the whole incident. That would be a blessing.

4) I doubt anyone climbed through that window, maybe they tried.
Unless he's a lot fitter than he looks.

5) how in the hell would you find a sleeping child in a dark house?????

It is important to remember that these charges may not directly relate to CC.
Senior investigators yesterday told The Courier-Mail the 45-year-old accused abductor was likely to be charged with further sex-related offences after investigators found a burnt computer hard drive and mobile phone at the accused man’s home on Tuesday.
Whatever his intentions may have been, CC was reportedly found in good health, according to the many articles written as she was released from hospital.

The whole "daddy's friends" line was, in my opinion, wild speculation from a woman thoroughly enjoying her 15 mins in the spotlight. The police have been pretty open in dismissing her remarks:

I think Inspector McNab is probably very unhappy with MS- he has certainly been clear in dismissing her statements. I wonder how many potential witnesses dismissed whatever they had seen, given that this was made to look like a pack of druggies that were out of control. The police have not mentioned drugs. GC has no drug convictions that any of us have been able to track down. Unfortunately, MS's words were given more credence by GC's comments that someone who knew them must have done this. In GC's defence, his daughter had just been kidnapped, and he'd had a big night drinking. What MS's motives are for refusing to shut up is anyones guess.

Finding a sleeping child is easy when you've broken into the main living area where they're sleeping.

I'd say that, if child sex related charges are true (let's be honest, if you read the MSM article is goes on about it, then says "the police are still investigating" or something like that - meaning MSM have asked and they've said "We don't know.") then CC was his first abduction and he's panicked with the attention so that's why she came back. Criminals tend to build up and up and up, little by little. Let's say he does get charged with offences relating to child sex crimes, he probably started by viewing pictures on the internet, then swapping pictures with others, maybe using his computer to take photos of young kids playing, clothed or naked, then worked himself up to a child abduction but panicked with the large scale attention and dropped her back.

But then there's the other times I don't catch myself right away and I'm shocked to realize where I am or what I'm reading! I keep saying that I need to put a note on the monitor that says "Keep in mind how will this appear to look if for some reason you are investigated by authorities." :floorlaugh:

bbm - I've often said there are plenty of uninhabited islands. Ship the sick b@$!@^%$ off to one of them and let them pick each other off! Uncivilized? Maybe. But courts are never going to keep these kinds of people away forever. The only other option is for us as a society to take the law into our own hands and "do away with them" on our own. When left with those two options, personally I think the island option is a great idea.



bbm - I've been thinking about that and wondering could it be his mother dropped CC off? One of the news links said that a woman was in court, possibly his mother. And in his photo there is someone sitting behind him with what looks, to me anyway, like grayish hair. I've even thought maybe she could have been the one to bath/shower her. Dunno, just thinking out loud I guess :seeya:

IMO most 3 year olds are not usually keen to try new things. I dont really know if CC could have been tempted with unknown chocolates or lollies. Children usually stick to what they know - gummy bears, or Milky Way, etc.

Just wondering -MS has been to court re drug use so I am sure that means at some stage she would have visited a 'dealer' to get the marijuana. Unless its home grown.
