Apparently, back in the day, not sure what years though, the Scarborough Night Club had a license to stay open to 6am. it was later changed to 3am. Not sure about Sunday nights though.

Doubt it was that late on Sundays.

Iirc only places open late (and serving alcohol) on Sunday nights in 1988 were the casino, Fast Eddy's burger restaurant in CBD, Vultures Cafe and The Freezer nightclub in Northbridge.

Maybe a couple stripper joints too but I'm not sure.
And in Freo maybe The Clink nightclub had extended Sunday hours until 3am or 6am.

It was not windy CV , light winds and cold 8 degrees .

Quote metic It was not windy CV , light winds and cold 8 degrees.

It wasn't cold either. The coldest temp for Monday 20th June 1988 was 10.7 degrees at 7.30 am. (Source The West Australian 21st June 1988) This means it could have been 11, 12 or even 13 degrees the night JC was last seen, but definitely not cold and 8 degrees.

I've given this information to the other metic twice now in the last few days, hmmm.....

Which Michelle was this? Mallard was staying on her couch and trying to impress her by making up stories he worked for Inerpol and stealing a challis from Iona. Provided statements she changed for Caporn a few times, that helped convict Mallard. Had drug charges. Dets helped her get a new homeswest flat. Was she Droc's attractive and manipulative woman who helped lure victims into taxi's? Most probably on JR's cctv as shown in previous image.

Innerchild do you realise the temperature is different depending where it's measured in the city? Coastal suburbs always several degrees different from Perth CBD or near airport.

Therefore your minimum of 10.7 degrees could be the Perth CBD or Airport temperature and is probably accurate.
However Meticulously's minimum of 8 degrees is even MORE accurate as it was sourced from Subiaco weather station/gauge. More accurate because Subiaco is close to Cott.

The newspaper usually only reports one max-min temp for ALL of Perth, but most people realise this is an 'overall estimate'.

The daily temperature for "Perth" is from Perth Airport weather station. Sometimes, you'll see in the news on TV, readings from different stations like Rottnest, Jandakot and Bickley, but only when there's usually a cold snap and the news media are trying to find a below freezing temperature, which usually turns out to be Jandakot

PD, thanks that right , the statistics for Subiaco are at least real data .

Unless innerchilds info is recorded statistics? Its irrelevant now , just a throwaway .
Historical weather stats are all that matter, 29 years later, now .

BTW newspaper weather is about the most basic level weather info you can get .
Very generic and lacking in detail compared with whats actually available.
Dont put faith in the old basic newspaper weather , if you are really keen on understanding weather you go way further beyond and into higher level information.

You realise the weirdest thing about the Cutler and Turner cases?
Major shipping disasters occurred a week after both because of weather.
The loss of the Singa Sea in 1988, and the Kirki in 1991. And both ships broke in two in heavy seas.

And then we have a dump site on the only road to the wreck of the Alkimos in 1996.

Ogga bogga stuff eh?

JC went missing in June 1988, and shortly before that there were two abductions from Perth’s Adelaide Tce - Sally Greenham and an unnamed female aged 45. We have an article which advises what happened to the victim who survived – 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] victim. If JC was abducted from the Parmelia car park, it would appear, on that occasion the perpetrator didn’t have his own vehicle.

(Adelaide Tce and the Parmelia Hotel are both within Perth’s CBD)

1. 1987 - Thu 20 Aug - Sally Greenham - After alighting a taxi in Adelaide Tce, Perth CBD. Had traveled from Geraldton (not in taxi). watoday

2. 1988 - End of May – name unknown - Abducted from Sheraton Hotel. Perpetrator drove small yellow car (possibly Toyota) Full article

3. 1988 – Mon 20 Jun - Julie Cutler - 12.30am last seen leaving Parmelia Hotel, Mill St, Perth. MP

Note paragraph below regarding the abduction from the Cottesloe Hotel, whereby both the victim and perp. had their own vehicle, but the perp. used his own vehicle…

1989 (Late ’89) Teenager Abducted from car park opposite Cottesloe Hotel – bundled into the back of a station wagon. Attempted rape at Lakeway drive-in Swanbourne. Escaped but was recaptured back in Claremont. He was aged about 30 and hard whiskers. (BRE was only 21) Post Newsp.

Kerry Turner also went missing in June - 30 June 1991 which was the birthday of BRE’s father http://nyt.bz

Telstra and Synergy's staff would attend to after hours faults, during winter months. These are only my thoughts and opinion.

My friend finally gave me the link to the statistics.

Another similarity with Julie Culer and the CSK victims is their personal items, notably handbag and shoes remain missing. In Julie's case there's the added twist it's believed work clothes in her size were handed in one year after being left under a table in a Kebab shop.

In every charge the alleged CSK faces, clothing features in his MO and crucially the investigation from the Huntingdale kimono to the Karrakatta rape where he left the victim completely naked in a cemetery to Jane and Ciara, shoes and handbags have never been found.

Can't help but wonder if this guy's also got a foot fetish.

There are certainly items such as jewellery, clothes, shoes and bags missing from the victims. My thoughts are the perp. left the ladies naked in order to demoralize them – like part of a signature (except CG who was left partly or fully clothed).

Perhaps over the years the accused CSK had a private collection of women’s clothing. Unless it was well-hidden, other family members were perhaps aware of it. I’m sure Macro will get full cooperation from the two ex-wives.

Below is a link to a serial killer who actually had a shoe fetish. The article is well-worth a read, providing much insight into the variety of methods he took to abduct – of which, the first, were opportunistic.

https://www.thoughtco.com/serial-killer-jerry-brudos-973122

The above is only my thoughts and opinion.

The driving distance from Parmelia Hotel in Mill St, Perth to Fremantle takes approximately 30 minutes. JC lived in Fremantle

Via Stirling Hwy 18.2kms and a bit longer via Canning Hwy 19.8kms

It’s highly likely JC traveled via Stirling Hwy, which meant passing Mounts Bay Rd (foothill of Kings Park), and then Stirling Hwy through Nedlands, Karrakatta (east), past Claremont police station, and then Cottesloe.

If JC left the Parmelia at 12.30am it would have been about 12.50am when she reached Cottesloe. What places would have still been open at 1am Monday morning? Unless the perp. had been fishing off Cottesloe and on the way home T-boned JC. Perhaps he became irate, and took advantage of the situation. What "perhaps" was T-bone damage was on the passenger side.

I think with we brainstormed similarities, no matter how far fetched. Might come up with something tangible.

We're any of the other victims missing shoes? Did they recover shoes at Kerry Turner's dump site?

If shipping disasters spark his interest, if he was responsible for Cutler and Turner, and thus was looking for dumpsites near the wreck of the Alkimos and wreck of the Kwinana?

SS was wearing a pair of beige, suede shoes which are missing.

These three ladies all met their fate very close to St Patrick’s Day, but over 14 years.

1986 – Tue - 18 Mar - Sharon Fulton - Last seen in Wangara about 9.30am on 18 March - watoday

(9 year gap)

1997 – Sat - 15 Mar - Ciara Glennon - Last seen walking along Stirling Hwy, Claremont toward Mosman Park - perthnow

(5 year gap)

2002 – Mon - 18 Mar - Christine Schipp - Last seen at Northbridge (street worker). Ex Middle Swan - nyt.bz

In response to why would a SK be attracted to pubs/clubs. Its a hunting ground & the CSK a predator. IMO every pub - The Thornlie - The Gosnells - The Claremont - Eagle One - The Perth Underground - OBH - CBV etc etc had single men (who never had a mate with them) who would continually "watch women". These joints were packed shoulder to shoulder. IMO undressing them when they walked past with their eyes & being slimy and trying to dance on the dance floor with them. Voyeurs I called them. The bridge/walkway opposite The Claremont, as mentioned before, is a perfect place to "watch" it is like a "lookout" - seeing who was leaving/staggering/carrying their shoes all by themselves.... trying to get home at 12am. I never drank alcohol in the 80s 90s and I was always aware of the creeps in the corner - eyeing up every single girl in every pub/club I went into. My girlfriends that got "plastered" never saw what I saw and the potential harm they were in (should they have been separated from caring friends) I had hailed many a Taxi so they could get home safely (some weren't so safe whilst in the Taxi either). It was a jungle out there - a potential "war zone" with tons of girls walking alone - at 1am - 2am - 3am etc. Easy pickings for a SK or a creep - jacking off in the darkness from his "watching place". If BRE did work on phones in offices - he could have come into contact with hundreds of girls and got to know them whilst working either at their offices or their homes and, overheard where they were going that weekend - and conveniently "planted" himself at the Pub - cunningly.

Hi Eaglette, that's an interesting angle considering the current discussion on missing shoes, I've often wondered what made the victims stand out from the crowd as you'd imagine potential targets would be plentiful at that time of the morning.
Being shoeless at the time is something which I've pondered as the reason they were chosen for quite a while now.
