If CG was partially dressed and possibly wearing someone else's clothes (one of his previous victims) when she was found - would those clothes have been kept. If they were there might have been DNA on them which could have been tested to find DNA of other victims. MOO
I'll have to give that scenario some thought. If the ladies were the same sizes, it could be possible.

Thanks for this connection I was watching this on Monday Morning waiting to go through for surgery then couldn't find it when I got home.

A friend rang me 2 weeks ago something about the Kehlets on the news had triggered her to become distressed about an incident that happened to her and her partner when they passed through Sandstone on an overland trip a year ago. She had tried to report it to the police when they got to Geraldton but after she had left she realised the young copper (on his first assignment) hadn't taken her name or phone number. I told her to ring Crime Stoppers to report it again and to get a report number which she did,she sent me a screen shot of it. I hope they take her info on board. It's always upsetting to see Josh he worked on and off for one of my sons.

They also looked for any similar cases around Australia, including the 1997 unsolved Perth murder of teenager Gerard Ross, snatched while roller blading during a seaside family holiday.
One of the suspects in that case was living in Caloundra in 2003 and drove a blue car. He became a person of interest.

Does anyone know who this person of interest was?

Report doesn't mention who the person in Caloundra was. Cowan had a white 4WD, so it wasn't him in Caloundra.

Douglas Jackaway:

‘Two weeks after his release, Jackway bought a blue 1980s model Holden Commodore.’

If the CSK, whoever he may be, was to have dressed the ladies in other victim's clothing it would mean he took them to a place where the clothing was. Meaning the holding place was his own - somewhere like a den. We don't know how long he held them for.

Peter Cowan had lived in Queensland, Newman and a period in the USA. Caloundra is in QLD

As far as I know the USA requires a Greencard for employment. Perhaps Cowan didn't have a criminal record at that stage.

Hi CV - perhaps BRE had a locker in one of the Telstra Exchanges. Some exchanges might have been quiet enough to be able to take victims there. He may have had a few lockers in Exchanges since his work involved visiting them as part of his job. MOO

Perhaps, in the future, someone from Telstra will have a big clean up and simply toss out anything that's stored, not knowing it belonged to BRE. When BRE was arrested he was taken by surprise and didn't have time to tidy up anything. Possibly, whatever momento's he had are still somewhere.

I don't think there will be any storage of articles (clothing, jewellery, shoes etc) to do with his work he/she will follow the pattern begun before he started work it could change if someone else became involved. As to having the bodies in different places for any length of time lividity will answer that question.

Bohemian,

Please accept my apologies, for repeating your answer about Peter Cowan ...

It was bought to my attention by Popular Pete!

It’s all good. btw BPC’s father’s name is Peter.

"Police also continue to look into a “vague” clue first brought to their attention in 1998 - a beige-coloured sedan that offered another boy a lift - and would like anyone with further information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."

CV, Also theres a mention here about Peter Brett [emoji6] being ruled out .

"We have been able to ascertain from Queensland authorities that Brett Cowan was in custody at the time so he’s not a person of interest in this matter,” Acting Detective Inspector Munday said."

From what I can see Jackway was in gaol from 1995 to 2003. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-04-07/child-rapist-douglas-jackway-release-bid-rejected/7306314
I can't see when the trial was on but I am assuming there was no bail.

I think if he was considered a suspect the gaol time would have eliminated him.
