any news on the potential ACR link?
I have a few thoughts - all 'MOO', 'IMHO', etc., of course:
* I just don't think he could've worked alone. I'm curious about the story of a woman escaping a taxi in which there were two people present which had an agenda for her (off to research). As well as the logistics of hiding a body, being on the lookout for passing cars, etc., that is one hell of a secret to harbour for all of these years. Could someone carry on about life knowing that they'd committed such heinous crimes? If he had worked alone, wouldn't he have felt tempted to tell someone, just one person, to alleviate the burden?

* What if he is genuinely mentally ill? He could well be schizophrenic - the voices told him to do it? And maybe he self-cured himself of it? Is that even possible? Well, according to quick Google search it is.
* What if he isn't mentally ill and pleads that way - he'll get to go off to some cushy psychiatric hospital for the rest of his days while those poor women and their friends and family continue to suffer.
New article today.
interesting to note dob as Dec 68 and started work at Telstra in 86.

My gut feeling (and based on one of the comments on the Gosnells reunion Facebook page) is that he was probably bullied a bit at school. When I was at school in the 80s calling someone a "bog" was slightly derogatory. It was possibly a shortening of "bogan", but had a slightly different meaning; it referred to a person who was into heavy metal music and dressed in black. I can remember kids at school being called "bogs" and it wasn't intended to be complimentary.Any theories on the origins of this?
90% of aussie guy nicknames are surname related so it obviosuly refers to something else either an incident, a play on his name or to do with his personality.
Knowing how aussie guys give nicknames I am thinking it is more to do with the word 'bog'
No it wont. But it may provide insight to his personality.

.....prior to kewdale lets say he was still at home with parents.
Seems like quite a lot of the article was sourced from here.
Good to read all the info in an organized way

I dont doubt he was picked on. Most of us were at some point in HS.I tend to agree
If the nickname did mean bog either smelled like or had an accident one day then it's likely he was bullied/picked on about it.

Correct, but not during CSK
This rings a bell - yes Pippidinny was a dirt track at the time not far past the CG site - we weren't able to drive all the way to the beach at the time ('97) - we had to do a 3 point turn and turn around back to Wanneroo Rd. Almost a perfect culdesac dump site. Must have had prior knowledge (fishing?).
There was a reference to BRE having been signed up to a cross dressing website in the last few days which I am unable to locate the source of, is this true or just random bs?
Has anyone here done research on the murder of Kerry Turner? I'd be interested in any info you have, googling news articles hasn't really given me much of an insight to that murder.
She was last seen out clubbing the night before Australia day, sound familiar?
Why do you say that..? He was registered at the Huntingdale address for the entire period 1988 - 99. That's not to say that he didn't rent elsewhere and fail to update his address. But we have no evidence to show that he wasn't living there - I'm sure the police will be looking into all that.
Madora bay was purchased by his folks in the 1990s while they were still registered at the huntingdale address, so it was likely a holiday home..
*edit* - Madora Bay was actually purchased in 1988. Definitely a holiday home.
*second edit* Maybe the folks spent a lot of time down in Madora Bay from June 1988..? When in 1988 was the Huntingdale attack?
If she was two years younger and went to Gosnells High she would have attended the same year as BE's brother, so good chance known to BE or his brother.
I have just done some research on Kerry Turner and what I have found is a little alarming!
Witnesses say she hopped into a blue car that was similar to a Datsun 260c. If you have a look at the first pic (from Google) and compare it to the blue car parked out the front of BRE house...
Image from Google...
Image from out the front of BRE house...
The rear end of the cars is almost identical!SaveSave
