I'm a bit late to the conversation, but what article(s) did this info come from? Thanks!

Hi Sutton
From about post #418 No Name and then Spinnaker started posting a few articles they had got from the West Australian state library (Battye) microfiche.

I will see if I can find the exact ones may have been multiple. I think the FIAT misquoted as 1963, it was suggested probably correctly that it was actually 1968 FIAT 125.

So my settings were wrong. Still having great difficultly though. Stay with me.. Im going to add them in as few posts as possible (if I can)

Heres the article about the women dragged from her car and let out on "Centenary Rd Wilson" for starters. I couldnt get a clear shot of the first part of the article but what you can see tells her terrifying story completely IMO.

Perhaps the lady who had her head hit against the brick wall in Claremont also met this creep.

Sorry folks - think I'll just try and add them all into here. Working off a phone is horrendous. These are all from the Daily News in the weeks after she disappeared - photos of microfiche. Quality is hit and miss. They're also going in out of order. Please note the number of the photo for an idea of the order they were published. Im tired and frustrated - but Im trying.

RSBM. Where's this info from?
Hi Sutton - here is quote:

Hi
I am new to this group. Never posted. How do you add approximate year 1989. Can't remember very young. Riding bike across bridge at Richard rushton centre huntingdale. Person that looked like BRE masturbating on the floor on concrete foot path. Richard rushton centre used have clinic sister there. Was very scared. He jumped up fast gave a weird stare. I rode my bike as fast as I could. Never forgot about that.

Note I have also received PM about this.

Robert Ben Rhoades – Long Haul Trucker - Nicknamed “Whips and Chains”

In summary Rhoades was a long haul trucker responsible for heinous acts upon female hitchhikers sometimes selected from truck stops. Eventually apprehended when an Arizona police officer noticed Rhoades had his hazard lights on. When the officer investigated, he found an undressed woman shackled in the cab. Rhoades was arrested, and investigators started delving into his background. They searched his truck and apartment and found blood-stained towels, a damning journal, and photographs of victims.

Looking though some other cases and came across this very good report article from Coroners Court in regards to Sarah McMahon.

Some interesting points below:

"Police considered the circumstances of Ms McMahon’s disappearance suspicious and an investigation was conducted by the Major Crime Squad named Operation Inez. Despite an extensive investigation, this operation did not shed any light on the whereabouts of Ms McMahon."

"Shortly before her disappearance Ms McMahon had obtained a part-time job at Hugall and Hoile, an irrigation company. She worked at the company’s Claremont office at 213-215 Stirling Highway, Claremont."

"Ms McMahon’s first day at the new job was Wednesday1 November 2000, she then worked on Friday 3 November2000 and Wednesday 8 November 2000." - she then went missing 8 November 2000.

Interesting also that she worked on Stirling Highway in Claremont.

Proximity of JR's workplace to SM's workplace - also to the unused building in Government Road.

Interesting that SM worked near Government Rd. The fact that she had only been working there for such a short period of time appears like she was spotted almost straight away - then watched. Is it possible that SM had driven to work and parked a distance because she'd parked where it was free parking. Or had caught a bus or train to work. It's possible to catch a train then bus to the door.

Verified sighting near Sawn District Hospital (the old Hospital) phone calls to suspect prior whilst she was travelling to Midland from Claremont. Witness in inquest says suspect did her in and disposed of her.
This one was definitely unrelated to CSKs
Too bad there wasn't enough hard evidence and the witness was discredited because she was a drug addict.

I've since read the Coroner's Report which advises SM drove a Ford Meteor Sedan.

Her car was actually found in the car park at Swan Districts Hospital by family members who were at the hospital for unrelated matter. Agree with PeteD, not CSK. Donald Morey did this poor girl.

I do agree PD, that appears that suspect was responsible.

Interesting the proximity of SM's and JR's workplaces though.

From the Coroner's report does seem that potentially Mr A may be aware of what actually occurred - IMO.

Absolutely agree. If he wasnt him, it was more than likely someone associated with him at the least, and I have no doubt he would know who it was. Such a shame the cops didnt have enough to get him on this one. Everything suggests hes their guy IMO.

Publication: The Age Sunday April 12 1997, pg 11.
snipped Captain David Caldwell South Carolina Police Services. He trained in forensic psychology with FBI specialising in profiling of violent criminals. He says the Perth killer falls into the most pathological category. Capt Caldwell said the abductions, especially the third amid increased security pointed to a brazen and intelligent criminal. "When this person is arrested, people are going to be absolutely astounded. (They will say) "I work with this person. He is my next door neighbour. It can't be".

This is who I seem to remember for The Post

Serial killer net tightens
Detectives are making progress in their bid to solve WA’s most baffling and sen-sational murder mystery, the Claremont serial killings.

snipped by me

Police have not identified the murderer but are now tar-geting high-priority persons of interest “based on a number of factors”.The Special Crime Squad has identified and prioritised the remaining persons of interest after reviewing Macro’s 65,000 files while conducting interviews and re-interviews, which are still continuing.Squad members have made more than seven trips to the UK to take advantage of the most recent breakthroughs in DNA analysis, using a private forensic science company. One of its founders, Dr Jonathan Whitaker, a senior fo-rensic scientist, has visited Perth and worked on the Claremont case.In UK cases Dr Whitaker has used familial techniques to track down the culprits of unsolved murders up to 30 years old, with one-in-a-billion accuracy.Familial DNA testing depends on the fact that each human gets half his or her DNA from each parent, and share a chunk of that DNA with other blood relatives.Police believe that by using some of the best scientists in the world and samples col-lected back in the 1990s, they can crack the case, but remain tight-lipped about the latest scientific results. They are hoping to use new computer software that com-pares the long strings of num-bers generated by DNA profiling results, an operation now done manually.Police do not believe at this stage of the inquiry that a coro-ner’s inquest into the deaths of the three young women would achieve anything. They are optimistic that by the end of this year there will be more concrete developments.Officers have been frustrated in following thousands of “low-quality” leads, but have inves-tigated each one.Information can be provided to police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000

Geez, with Caldwell's description in 1997 & the other guy from USA the POST spoke to very early in the investigation who suggested KK perp was the guy they were looking for - cant help but wonder that if different cops were in charge, perhaps this would never have been a 21 year investigation at all. Not to mention the numerous other unsolved cases and injustices suffered in the meantime. How sad.

Can I ask those of you who are willing to put forth your opinion, do you feel the accused CSK is who they've been looking for & that formalities aside, so far as the matters he has already been charged for, that this case is all but over?

I certainly hope so. For all the wrong directions that Macro went in the past, they never charged anyone. After 20 years most people probably believed this would never be solved. There was no pressure for a quick arrest because no one expected it so I am assuming they have enough evidence. On hearing the early news reports that police were arresting someone on a long running investigation, still people were surprised that it was about the CSK. We have a long wait till we start hearing the real evidence, I'd love to be a fly on the wall.

NoName If it is BRE's DNA on all these cases, as it seems to be - I hope BRE is convicted and he spills the beans on the whereabouts of all/any missing girls he has taken! Whether he pleads guilty or fights the charges it will certainly sell papers!

Any answer would be Subjudicial,.
