Due to the unimaginable crime committed and the fact its one of QLD highest profile cases ever, I would be very surprised if his sentence wasn't "never to be released" I just hope and pray that they can convict Jackway for this also. Then lock them both in a room to sort it out themselves for the remainder of their days.

His application for parole will only be approved if he shows signs of rehabilitation.

Every psych he's come within cooee of has diagnosed him as a psychopath.

To date, psychopathy is a permanent condition which precludes the possibility of rehabilitation therefore, he will never be eligible for parole.

Crown telling jury witnesses who saw blue car/white van at overpass "are either mistaken or irrelevant" @9NewsBrisbane #Morcombe

well that solves that mystery of the blue car and other man - the prosecution argument is to just ignore that as irrelevant. while i agree the remainder is compelling, that does nothing for my sense of enquiry.

Brett Cowan’s confessions to Daniel Morcombe killing should leave jury ‘no doubt’

SARAH ELKS THE AUSTRALIAN MARCH 10, 2014 12:49PM

After four weeks of evidence in his Queensland Supreme Court trial, prosecutor Michael Byrne is delivering his closing address to the jury. Brett Cowan’s compelling confessions to the murder of Daniel Morcombe should leave a Supreme Court jury with “no reasonable doubt” of his guilt, prosecutors argue...
