Petedavo - OMG what an evil ***** that woman was/is. Was she nuts or sane or just evil. The story of her life is unbelievable! Her poor children. Also the poor partners and all the things she did to them - and they would take her back! How did she get as far as she did without being locked up in a mental institution for life? The gruesome murder of her partner finally got her locked up for life. I fear for the other prisoners that have to be around her. She even caused policemen on the case to have nervous breakdowns when they saw what she had done to her partner. Absolutely unbelievable. [emoji50]
Must be something in the drinking water in Newcastle and Hunter Valley.

Annalise,

My thoughts are the same as yours. What if they were out on baile and just overlooked for Gerard's murder.
I've emailed Crimestoppers but if I don't hear back will write a letter and put it in the post.

McLaughlin is primarily a thief, he stole Phillip's sneakers and robbed Jade Bayliss' home in NZ, unfortunately Jade was home from school, at the time, and he killed her and burnt the house.

Yes Gerard's Yankee's cap is missing!

These are only my thoughts and opinions.

The killer of Jade Bayliss was much more closely connected to the household than that.

[h=1]'I knew in my gut he was Jade's murderer': Mother had no idea her ex-boyfriend was a convicted child killer - until he strangled her daughter in their home as punishment for breaking up with him[/h]

PD
Thank you for the video link regarding Mary Bell and her accomplice. I watched the video this morning. The story was well explained - making sense how a child can turn to crime. Mary chose male victims aged 4 or 6 – because they were much smaller than her – Mary was 10 or 11.

(Note: Robert Thompson and Jon Venables - aged 10 abducted and killed a toddler, James Bulger - they couldn’t physically control anyone who was larger, hence older).

Back to Mary Bell…. What’s also interesting about Mary was that she projected herself into the investigation, by repeatedly asking adults’ questions. Evidently, she was/is quite intelligent. Upon sentencing they didn’t know where to send her because she was too young for prison.

With regard to Gerard’s murder, he was driven to the d-site. At least one of the perpetrators' was old enough to drive.

I wonder if there was a bus rote from Rockingham Beach to Karnup back in those days?

This article advises there was a divide because of the two persons of interest. Is anyone aware of the proximity of where those two people lived?

The initial investigation identified two persons of interest. Detectives felt so strongly about these men that it divided the taskforce.

Thanks for that article Canningvale.

I’ve always lived in Rockingham I was only 10 when GR went missing but whe the circus comes its either on the village green oval across from kfc which Kent st would run parallel on the other side of the oval, the oval on Dixon Rd which isn’t very far from Kent st at all or the oval behind the council chambers which again is a stones throw away from Kent st hope that helps 😊

Hi I’ve always lived in Rockingham tho I was only 10 when GR was taken and the circus would have been held on the village green across from kfc which the other side Kent st runs parallel, the over on Dixon rd which is very close or the oval behind the council chambers which is a stones throw aswell but I can’t think of anywhere else it could be so all extremely close to Kent st

Below is part of the spreadsheet I've been working on regarding some of the missing, murdered Australian minors - boys.

The font is quite small - to enlarge press Ctrl +

Very interesting - Great work!
In my opinion 14-year old Elijah Doughty of Kalgoorlie should be added to the list.

Sadly lots of victims in WA and SA for the relative population size.

Also, I can’t remember seeing the Adelaide Family Killings e.g. Richard Kelvin aged 15, 1983, though I did struggle with the small font and may have missed it.

Yeah just look at how many known paedophile’s there were in the tiny town of Kendall that William Tyrell disappeared from and then imagine how many there are in a big city like Perth - very scary!!!
This is such a sad and baffling case.

The Facebook Page of "Leave A Light On inc" has just put up a story on the murder of 12 year old Denise McGregor. She was abducted from near shops 1978. There was a possible attempted strangulation with shoe laces, before her head was bashed in with a rock or similar. Apparently DNA is available for comparison in this Victorian case!
Can someone please remind me (us) where I recall hearing of shoelaces and attempted strangulation before? TIA
