Hi all...

Long time lurker when something catches my interest.. Allison BC was a big one, Sarah Cafferky and Jill Meagher and now this case has caught my eye. And when they catch my eye, I pore over every shred of information I can get my hands on!

RIP Karen

On AR: I have been keeping track of his public posts, to me it sounds like this guy should be forgotten about. The attention is feeding him. I believe he got the huff years ago, possibly not able to come to terms that his dad had a new family. Tried to fit in, turned to drugs, rants and raves are from jealousy and nothing else. I do not believe anything untoward happened between him and KR, I believe he is twisted from jealousy and the drug habit is making it worse. He looks to be clutching at straws to be kept in the loop and be seen as a pivotal part of the family, when quite simply, he is the family reject that no one really wants anything to do with. I see his posts as of zero substance.

SR: Strange that we do not know anything about her movements on the days before and of KR disappearance. She is sticking by her father, something I have thought a lot about over the past few days. I have tried to put myself in her shoes, and I will admit, if something like this happened in my home, it would not go down smoothly. There HAS to of been days or weeks where she needed space to think, to mull over the accusations. If we look at grief, isn't denial part of the process? Isn't rage? Where is her rage? She has remained a nothing all the way through this.. Now, every human deals with issues in their own way, but all this time, such a publicized case, where her mother has been murdered?
Note - I notice people looking into the fact that she remained working in the shop, if I were in her shoes, as an innocent, I would probably go there every day to be close to my mothers memory. If I was involved in the disappearance, I would prob have to go there to make things look right. So i disregard the shop appearances.

BR: IF he is innocent, I would wish for these threads to be deleted. However, I believe police have him on it, and are waiting to get through the funeral to nab him. I believe, at some time between the evening of the 28th and the morning of the 29th, an argument took place, and that the murder of KR was a complete accident. 10am has been given as last seen time. I believe this to be incorrect. I believe it was an early morning accident, with possibly SR present. Something simple as a push down stairs or a knock to the ground that turned fatal. I believe panic ensued, plan was put in place, and KR was in the Merc as it was caught on CCTV.

To tidy things up: BR meets VR, disposes of body and accessories at Toolern, at a later date returns and moves body to Macedon.

Not 100% on shovel man story, sounds like an urban myth, but I do believe witness say something, just the story has grown legs.

I would imagine an arrest on the days after the funeral.

Media always know more, remember they agreed to a ban on reporting certain details with Jill Meagher case. Media can solve a crime as well as police in some cases. Police and media working together to release info as they see fit, to keep public interest and to make out to the perp that they are baffled. I am not reading too much into media as I believe it is strategically aligned with what police want us to know.

In cases where they genuinely are baffled, there is usually some form of mass hysteria at an unknown murderer on the loose, and ALL details are thrown public in order for everyone to be aware.

Sorry for long post. :)

Edit: incorrect names used

I agree, in an ideal world police would be looking for a confession. They would hope that the perp would come forward and hand themselves in. With all the conflicting stories told so far, that may be unlikely. So police have to gather enough evidence to present a solid enough case to ensure a conviction. So far l don't think they have enough primary evidence to prove the case. A $10,000 a day silk would be able to tear apart most of the evidence and provide enough reasonable doubt to a jury, and that is what the prosecution would not want. They want some solid evidence that the defence can not refute. Was it an accident, yeah maybe, but covering it up would only make it worse.

To come forward when it first happened, if it was an accident, may have resulted in involuntary manslaughter which could have been just a good behaviour bond. But they have played this charade for 8 months now and just keep digging the hole deeper and deeper. You reap what you sow. If it was an accident and she was pushed down the stairs, why no broken bones in the pre-lim autopsy? Like I always said, we are not being told everything, just what they want us to know.

'just suddenly remembered who Anthony reminds me of, Ramazan Acar, the psycho who told Yasmina' s mother, Rachel that he was just taking her ( 3 yrs old ) down the milk bar for a chocolate bar, and then drove around texting and facebooking that he was going to kill her , that he had killed her, that he was going to kill himself, .....

He backed out of killing himself. He can apply for parole in 2044 . Anthony's stuff is nearly as weird and so way over the normal boundaries I've lumped him in with Ramazan on the dangerous killer ladder.

and another day of watching and waiting.... .. it's a fair bet that Stary is well and truly earning his fee over these days.

I wonder how much of a retainer his lawyer asked for?

No, it hasnt been verified as to what forumlas were the contents of the bottles.

However, the bottles match the description of the green palm and green cap.

I still find it hard to believe that they were in the same spot as Karen given the expanse of the area it just seems to coincidental. The debris couldn't have been flung from a car, it would have to have been walked in purposely. My daughters client said that they had noticed empty bags of lime could it have been empty tubs of fertiliser (put down to chinese whispers). Swung past Oakley on the way home SR's car still in the drive 2 x camera men were standing outside their vans not sure if they were packing up or starting.

He has probably had enough of the replied comments on his profile, after everyone told him to not publicise his views after the death.
Alternatively, someone close got into his ear and told him to do that.

I even saw someone tell him to 'neck' himself, they were giving it to him.

If it was an accident and she was pushed down the stairs,
(snipped)

I'm going to pick at your language, Armchair Snoop. Do you mean, if she was pushed downstairs by accident? Or do you mean, if you push someone downstairs and they're injured or killed, the result was an accident? If the latter, I really dislike the minimization implied by the term.

"The new witnesses claims come just days after police seizes a soil-ridden shovel from the Ristevski’s Avondale home.

Police at the Mount Macedon scene. Picture: 7 News
One matched dirt from behind their family home, the other is believed to have come from the Mount Macedon region where Karen's body was found."

I remember a shovel being confiscated from the Ristevski Home last year when the investigation was kicking off. Now, has there been a second shovel that has been examined that was taken from the same location?

And I believe the article is referring to dirt samples from one shovel?
I believe the article linked is poorly written. Should be written new witnesses claim (occurred) days after police seize".

Where did the vehicle tracker "fall off" - LE will know last known position..

I wouldn't know what to believe as this case is too fishy for my liking.

Think you are on a pretty similar track to my thoughts.

Someone went ballistic.., maybe with a push.
Then we're in cover-up mode....

Got a feeling I picked up somewhere that there was a bit of knowledge of what supposedly went on, just certain people weren't in the picture.

I strongly believe that where Karen was found was where she was initially dumped.
No one under such scrutiny would be brazen enough to return and move the body and give themselves up... Especially given the media coverage and exposure this case has had.

Here's my 2c - let's assume she was moved to her final resting place from the family home (the last place she was known to have been). This would have meant she was murdered somewhere else in the house. I'm sure police would have searched for blood - nothing. No skull/bone fractures (rules out the "falling down the stairs" theory for me). I'm thinking poison or suffocation with something like a pillow. But with strangulation or similar, you would expect some form of wounds/scratches to BR -- but he doesn't have any. This points once again in the direction of Karen being poisoned, unsuspectingly (duh!). Not a scrap of evidence anywhere in the home (that we know about, aside from the shovel).

She's then moved into the garage and into the boot of her car, with her hand bang and phone to make things look less suspicious (she went for a walk to clear her head - remember? She would have taken these things, as most of us would). Her car is chosen to move the body because it's more likely that her DNA is found in the car she drives daily, as opposed to BR's vehicle. Most people would seek to distance themselves as far as possible in the shortest amount of time to avoid detection; hence, BR takes a drive up the Calder Freeway. He drives off the beaten track to somewhere quieter -- Karen's final resting place. The phone pings support this.

He tries digging a hole to conceal the body, but deep holes are hard to dig -- especially in the black of night. So he does the next best thing that any logical person would do - he conceals it in the immediate environment as best he can; between two fallen trees. He covers her, as most killers do when they know the victim, to both conceal the body and to comfort himself by not having to continue to look at the body.

What happens next is a mystery to me - where is KR's phone and hand bag? If these items are found with the body, this lends credence to the possibility that she went to this place herself and commits suicide. If the bag and phone are not there, then it's obvious that the body, phone and hand bang have been disposed of in different areas.

Another mystery here is motive - financial, secret lover, complete accident?

But what do I know?.. I'm just an arm chair detective :P

Remember years ago, your parents saying to you dont talk to strangers!.

Some of these reports are strange men, walking around in the dark were no one else is.

These are not strange men, these are men that are trusted in the community or so we are led to believe.

But what they have done is to my mind uncomprehensible, and claiming honesty.

It makes me sick.

If KR was pushed, thrown or fell down the stairs she could of received global hypoxic cerebral injury due to a high cervical spine injury. Which would of been fatal as it was in this case:
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10879159

And if she had any severe bruising on her body afterward it would of not been detectable when she was found due to her condition of level of decomp.

Minimalization is my middle name JLZ. I understand what was being said. I think

Say someone get coward punched?

If it wasn't the pavement hitting the victims head he might have survived.
So was it the punch or the pavement which killed the victim?
I'm not sure whether that's rhetorical or whether you're agreeing with me. But my answer is, it was the puncher who killed the victim. Doesn't matter whether it was the blow of the fist or the impact of what the victim was driven against. But that's only the causation part of the case. Then you need to look at intention.

In a coward punch scenario, was it the punch or the pavement which killed the victim?
They've actually used this in court and I watch Judge Judy. :D

Deja vu !!

At the bottom of this article there is video of Karen's car and police are wanting people who own the same vehicle to come forward to tell them where they were around the time ALLISON, whoops I meant KAREN went missing.

Roundabouts cameras and koppers logs again folks.

Ha, ha, koppers logs goes back a long way tgy. Long before we all saw justice for ABC, which has just been finalized this week.
