Academies were introduced in UK in 2000, Free Schools not until 2010, according to Google search. I don't think MB alone could have afforded to buy a private school, despite her estimates of cost on the postcard. A pre-school franchise possibly, but I sold a 2 bedroom terraced house in a cheaper area of South East UK in 2002 for £120k as a comparison. IMO this all came from RB.

Marion was never buying a school in UK.
She was on the trip of a lifetime about to be a millionaires housewife living in Lux, so she thought.

But the money wasn't able to be accessed as it was still under her old name so he made up some BS story about buying a school and getting back to Aust fast before the opportunity was lost.

She wasnt even a resident of the UK so how could she buy a school and the system was completely different to the Aust system and she was so distraught over TSS only weeks earlier, schools would have been the last thing on her mind to buy. She never said she was buying a school on the postcards, she only said how affordable they were. AH planted that seed.

IF she didn't come back, then it makes perfect sense that AH flies back in early, just as he did with the other women, MB prefilled passport is onsold or used by another female he has conned in Europe, and in comes her passport showing she is back in the country, withdrawing her own money, telling the corrupt bank manager shes off to buy a school in the UK so transfer my money please to an overseas account thats never been found. But before I do that I will duck over to Bali for a holiday, forget about getting in touch with my children and family whom I've been writing too for weeks telling them how much I love them.

MAYBE the car he purchased isnt even connected to Marions case. Maybe its connected to the woman who flew in with her passport.

Why is the name of the doctor overwritten?
I can imagine the ‘Wouters’ is in a different marker/pen, since it was the only non-variable info on there, probably written before birth. But someone wrote a doctor’s name in pen & has written over it with a big marker. Could be nothing (simply the wrong name) or to mask smth.

I think you have MB and JO story mixed up there.
Never any talk of MB and French Riviera - that was JO.
The time frame of MB and AH was 4 months, met February - MBFBpage , AS.
I think it was AH himself that suggested the school.
And he did have access to the full brief of evidence unfortunately

I was speaking in terms of AKA’s modus operandis and the direct similarities between MB’s case and JO’s case.

SL believed her mother was taking a well earned holiday to the UK and Europe. Outgoing PC states divorced and moving to LUX - Incoming states married and returning to LUX. So it’s clear from MB herself that she believed she was moving to Luxembourg. Home duties suggests to me that MB was likely fed a story of a life of wealth and luxury travel.

Similarly, he feeds JO the same type of dream. This time it’s purchasing property on the French Riviera. Like MB, he also takes JO to the UK - then dumps her there. The similarities cannot be ignored.

For the Lux and Bel victims it’s the reverse. Marriage on a beautiful island, a grand home in Australia. A married life of luxury.

For me, my opinion only, the purchasing of a school is likely just another lie. A red herring rabbit hole to send any investigation down a different path away from Luxembourg.

I only mentioned a possible holiday house on the French Riviera with MB due to the similarities between MB and JO. He seems to roll out the same promises, same with the Lux and Bel victims. A school (while Marion was a teacher) just seems too far left of his MO. It stinks of BS.

February to August is 6 months. IF MB made the withdrawals (I don’t believe she did) it’s a 8 month courtship. For AKA, that was a mistake - he took too long. Hence why he changed his MO to romance them hard and fast, sweep them off their feet - to get the loot, coins, stamps, jewellery, power of attorney, house titles etc within a short amount of time and get out of there.

Something else I have wondered is if AKA presumed that MB had the ability to transfer all her funds from Australia to a European bank account under the name of Remakel while in the UK. I’ve wondered if MB needing to return to Aus to make withdrawals was a huge spanner in the works for him. Had MB, for example, set up a safety deposit box (unknown to him) before she left with her old ID, jewellery, bonds - and who knows what else… As the money had to be withdrawn in the identity of MB. I have a sense AKA had hoped to have had everything of MB’s in his account in Europe with the intention of dumping her there. Just speculation - but I do wonder.

He repeatedly and frankly ludicrously asserts the story that Marion was putting her 'didactic materials and literature' (his words from the inquest) into crates so she could IIRC send them to Europe. So here we have an example of one of his pre-emptive cover up stories.

I wonder if Marion really did keep and pack all her old teacher training coursework and the text books and literature and favourite children's books she'd used in classroom over all the years? I suppose she could have done if she was a bit of a squirrel and if they had sentimental value and also could be used for a return to teaching in the future? SL would know this?

IMO they would have been of very low value and extremely bulky and heavy so I imagine at some point Mr AKA had a large bonfire in the back garden or didn't bring them anywhere near his home because why would he...

Yes she did. SL has said a while back she had emptied what looked to be the contents of her desk drawers etc etc into the boxes by just up ending them so it was a real mess that SL had to sort through over time. So she definitely did store her teaching materials.

As far as AH goes, he would have been packing her vauables in the tea chests when he was at Marions, and those would have been shipped off to his place for a time until he could offload it to his old cronnies that he may have known along the coast. The areas of where he lived, his mate Vern and another well know collector who had a store front were all in close proximity to each other.

This was my thought last week - Hypothetically speaking, if a p.o.i, hasn't been charged with any crime, but this p.o.i. had travelled regularly o/s using a multitude of aliases and passports, and a record of criminal offenses, would it be possible for this p.o.i. to be "detained" for their "personal safety" in an appropriate facility with secured exits, their passport/s revoked due to being a flight risk and their mobile phone monitored for possible contact with accomplices and/or intimidation of future witnesses?
