Next court appearance is on October 15.

The article says random attack. Now I'm wondering if he was a complete and utter nutter, or borked out of his brain on drugs. Though neither of those explain why the attack happened in the bedroom while Morgan had his pants off.

He simply may have went into his bedroom to change and nutter followed him?

Does anyone know if it was a police report that said the attack happened in his bed? Or was that just MSM?

Doesn't make sense, this guy follows MH home in hope of having sex? he had never met MH before, so he exchanged a few words with him on the way home, came to some conclusion that they were going to have sex, when this did not happen he goes into a rage and stabs him to death, because of no sex??

This does not seem right,

This 20yr old claims that he had never met MH, could be true, but he might have heard about him, that he had alot of women & that he was rich,

It could have been that he had seen an opportunity to rob MH, noone around, MH would have been tired, had a few drinks, unwinding for the night, this guy could have simply followed him & waited a while before he let himself in or knocked on the door,

could explain why MH was half naked, getting ready to go to bed

In any case, MH is sadly deceased and will never be able to speak in his own defence.

Could be.... but it sounds like Morgan was already as comfortable as he could get.. w/o removing more articles of clothing...

IIRC... he was wearing shorts... no shoes.. and I do not remember what shirt he had on...

But... pretty much bare minimum of clothing... no?

Well the arrest of a male has come at no surprise to me. If anyone recalls the Gold Coast case I posted about last week. Media were focused on the 100's of girlfriends the victim had however three months later a male was arrested.

I think the arrest today in Morgan's case may have had a lot to do with forensic test results becoming available.

Police allege Daniel Jack Kelsall, 20, struck up a conversation with Mr Huxley as he walked home to his Watson Street unit in the early hours of September 8.

Police were able to make an arrest after allegedly finding some of Mr Huxley’s blood on a satchel owned by Mr Kelsall, who lived near the businessman’s address.

Backpack was Mr Kelsall's. Went to Morgan's place together.

Really got to fly now! Catch you all later ...

Doesn't the footage of Mogs walking home show him alone with nobody around him? I wonder when this conversation between them took place..

For them to get the DNA match, I reckon they were onto this guy very early on (was it mentioned somewhere he actually spoke to Morgan in the pub at some stage?). So detectives question him routinely a few days or a week after the killing, and just played it cool with him, telling him it was all routine, they're interviewing many people, and they'd just need to take his bag for testing since he was one of the last people to see him alive.
Then, to keep the suspect relaxed, steer all the media off course with the tainted lover story until the DNA tests are complete.

Will we have to stop posting?

Like in the Paquette case in Canada?

TIA...:seeya:

When or if charges are laid, we'll get to posting the WS rules which apply to all our Aussie murder cases.

You'll still be able to post about the case but if the guy has past criminal history that won't be up for discussion at all. Photos of the guy won't be allowed either.

Yes. I noticed that too.

I think the CCTV cut out about 100 metres from his home, perhaps as a local DJK knew where not to wait.

I wonder if it was some kind of arranged meeting though. I've never heard of Grindr before but maybe that's why he went to the pub? Knew he was meeting someone after the person finished their shift at work. Waited across from the pizza shop for a few minutes, then started to head home.

I notice that the police say there was no relationship and that they had never met before. That doesn't mean that they hadn't been in contact. Hopefully Morgan's phone will have any evidence if the hookup scenario is the case.

I think you're right. They were smart too, if they were looking for a 'jilted lover' painting the killer as a female allowed them to poke at the killer in the same manner without showing their hand at all.
