I am watching the news. A neighbour said that he or his girlfriend(will clarify with link asap) heard a 'muffled gunshot'.
(Quote above from post #13 in this thread)
This whole case sounds extremely fishy to me. It seems we have an obviously disturbed husband who:
- has a wife who is filing for divorce and disappears, reportedly, carrying a Samsung Android Tablet and an iPhone without leaving a single digital trace of her whereabouts
- doesn't report his wife missing (a friend of her does this few days later)
- is in possession of illegal firearms (or so it seems)
- leaves for Indonesia in a hurry before the police is involved (from goldcoast.com.au: A neighbour, Adrian Scott, said Mr Chardon had left the family home in a hurry on Friday night, not waiting for the garage door to fully open. "He reversed so fast he took off the top of his car," Mr Scott said.)

- talks about his wife in past tense and suddenly reverts to present (the famous quote "I loved her very much... I still love her actually")
http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/que...stranged-wife-now-missing-20130212-2eav3.html
- was about to lose a lot of money, parts of his business and possibly also his kids (at least partly) due to a divorce
- is considered very abrupt by his peers (from goldcoast.com.au: "I think he comes across as dominating, quite rude and crass. He's very abrupt." and from GoldCoastGirl in post #211 of this thread: "Mr Chardon was a very strange man that made most feel uncomfortable around him. He was often very rude to Novy in front of others)
- had a previous wife that died young due to a "suicide" (a drug overdose - JC might not have been activly involved in the "suicide" but it would certainly surprise me if he wasn't a great part of the reasons for it)
- is (or was) attracted by, and married to, a very young female who was less than half his age when they married (24 vs 55). (I find it a bit disturbing that Novy was just slightly older than his oldest daughter)
- is in an unhappy and (IMHO) unbalanced marriage
http://www.goldcoast.com.au/article/2013/03/02/448030_gold-coast-news.html
- never appears on family photos (Novy had plenty of photos from the kid's birthdays and family holiday's on her FB page - can't find a single one where her husband is present)
https://www.facebook.com/novy.a.chardon
- uses foul language when interviewed ("Tell her to get your stupid bloody arse home mate ... Haha, no just tell her she's gotta come home" + "All I will say is that I did not f---ing do anything to her and we don’t know where the f--- she is")
- sticks his tongue out after a camera crew - see from 0:48 to 0:50 in this video clip:

- drives like a maniac - notice the wheelspin when he reverses out of the garage from 0:37 to 0:39 in this clip:

This case is just insanely filled with suspicious oddities. It surprises me that the forensic experts couldn't find anything in the Coomera home but I guess the delay in police involvement, theoretically, made it possible for a killer to get rid of evidence and traces. If Novy was killed in a shower or bathtub, perhaps shot at an angle where the bullet wouldn't fully penetrate but instead remain in the body, it might have been possible to wash all evidence away. I have a gut feeling that Novy is buried in a remote area of the Gold Coast hinterland or perhaps dumped in a barrel filled up with bricks as dead weight on the bottom of Advancetown Lake. In my opinion this wasn't a hired kill or with the help of accomplices. This was a mad man's work done on a dark night when everyone else was asleep. Only a mad man would be able to keep such horrible secrets on his own.
I pray for you Novy - hope you are safe and sound - but I'm afraid we won't see you alive again in this world. God bless you.
