Well, it has been two weeks since they found the human leg bone. I would think that the results should be available soon - these results would hopefully be considered a priority.

"... all bone contains DNA, but some bones are better at preserving DNA than others. Long bones, in particular femora, are the best source of DNA, after teeth."

I think it might depend on the condition of the bone but hopefully pulling up a DNA profile won't take as long as it did on the bones that belonged to Daniel Morcombe.

Because of the condition of them some of his bones ended up being sent to a forensic scientist in New Zealand.

I read that in the Gold Coast Bulletin also. How can he do that? Wouldn't that form part of her estate?

His court appearance on the other charges is soon, but not soon enough. :jail:

It's not difficult to remove her as a director but he would have a problem if he were to try and sell or redistribute her shares in the company (if any), they would have a monetary value - the directorship would not.

Still no news:coffeews: I wonder what's going on - if anything?
Hoping for justice one day...

.. from back in March, but I don't recall reading this.

Mother tells how the relationship between Novy and John Chardon crumbled as his business became more successful

NOVY Chardon’s family warned her to walk away from husband John Chardon – taking nothing – when she filed for divorce.

In an in-depth interview with the Jakarta Globe, Mrs Chardon’s mother Estralita Aler revealed family members were worried Mr Chardon might hurt her if she pushed for a fair division of the couple’s assets.

But Mrs Chardon ignored their pleas and insisted on fighting for what she was owed in the weeks before she disappeared.

.. I think we all pegged the motive from around day .. one? two? This adds a deal of weight to the theory.

Oh people we can't let Novy disappear and forgotten.

JC trial was to start on the 16/06 Monday..is it still on?

Novy is definitely not forgotten but it's sad to see how the media attention has disappeared.
Just read it is July.
Yes, the week commencing 14.07.2014 according to MSM:

John William Chardon is also scheduled for a (pre-trial?) hearing in Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday 18.06.2014.
His name should appear on this list early Wednesday morning:

I asked a local police officer here on the coast (organized crime team) a few days ago if they still have attention on this case to which he replied: yes, very much indeed. However, due to the nature of the case he wouldn't expect too much news in the media until they have a very solid case to present before the court.

Sounds promising. I don't know if I could handle JC and GBC walking free, too much to bare in 1 year.
Are the kids with him..good Lord I hope not..

Justice for Novy.

we're here Novy to see you get the justice you so deserve. I think JC will see jail time if not for Novy then all his other charges. Can't wait to see them all...Karma happening

So, I heard today on radio news that a human bone was found last Thursday in a 'popular Gold Coast waterway'. A recreational diver found it off The Spit, and handed it in to police. It has gone in for forensic testing.

Could be anyone, I guess. But I thought of Novy. :(

Presuming they are speaking of the Southport Spit, unless there is another one?

Just to update that the bone found isn't Novy:

A FEMALE leg bone found in the Gold Coast Seaway two months ago has been identified as belonging to Katelyn Hyland.

I just wanted to say Novy is not forgotten by my family and my circle of friends and workmates still know who she is and wonder what happened.

I have her name tagged for news, and only last night I was out with my friends and she was remembered as we discussed the BC and OP trials. Justice for Novy

Someone will say something, cause the questions will never stop. Hey mr John, Ada Apa?

Just to update that the bone found isn't Novy:

Thanks so much, sleepinoz! Poor Katelyn. At least her family have answers.

Novy, someone will find you!

I'm just hoping there's enough circumstantial evidence to eventually bring her killer to trial, even if her body is not soon found. Her killer, and those evil sods who helped him too.

Just a reminder that a pretrial review about the rape and child molestation charges is supposed to be held on Tuesday - with the trial scheduled to commence on the following Monday 14th.

Chardon had been indicted earlier this month with eight historical charges from 1998 and 1999 - three counts of rape, four counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 and one count of indecent treatment of a child under 16 in care.

The case will have a pre-trial review on July 8.
