Too long without any thing at all. So sad for Sharon and all who loved and knew here. What do you think might have happened, DaisyGirl? What is the local feeling?

It's been 12 months tonight since Sharon went missing. Heartbreaking there is still no news. Thinking of you every day Sharon. We used to play tennis together in Lawrence - well, more against each other! Such a beautiful, caring person. Please come home. Hope your family get answers soon too. So hard for them. Hope someone is brought to justice if that's what has happened. I don't understand how anyone could hurt another human being. What a sad world we live in sometimes x

Article from today's Daily Examiner (Grafton newspaper) - http://www.dailyexaminer.com.au/news/march-14-201510-11pm-sharon-edwards-is-last-seen-a/2963371/

It's heartbreaking for her family and others who knew her. I used to live in Lawrence but left the area some years ago to be honest. Yes, I used to play tennis with / well, mostly against Sharon. Always had tough battles. She made me a better player. She really is a lovely lady. Knew her family a bit too. Great boys. Honestly, I have no idea what happened and neither does anyone I know up there that I have spoken to (I still have some family in the local area so stay a little connected). It's an absolute mystery and a tragedy. Lawrence is a small town but a caring community that I miss greatly. But believe me, you can't do anything in that place without everyone knowing about it! LOL. And noone seems to know anything. That's all I have X

Have you ever met Sharon's husband? Do locals think he could be guilty?

Yes I have. Not going to speculate whatsoever. I know a family member has posted on here before and I respect their privacy and their grief at this awful time, and also that sort of thing can get you into trouble. As I said, I honestly don't have a clue and neither does anyone I know. All I can say is J has always looked a little unconventional (kind of 'hippy' like) but I only remember him as a dedicated father who was always at soccer games etc, someone who loved Sharon, and was at one time a dedicated teacher at the local primary school (who taught at least one relative of mine). That doesn't come across in the headlines. I know nothing more. Hadn't seen them for some years as I moved out of the area. We need to let the police do their job. Can't be easy for them!

Police name husband as suspect

Police will today release CCTV footage of Grafton school teacher Sharon Edwards one year after her disappearance.

A mother and grandmother, Ms Edwards, aged 55, was last seen in Grafton on the evening of Saturday March 14, 2015 and her disappearance is now being treated as a suspected homicide.

Forensic analysis of Ms Edwards' mobile phone data shows that her phone travelled from Grafton to Lawrence, some 30 kilometres north, that night and continued to emit data into the early hours of the following morning, Sunday March 15.

Inspector Jameson said police had never located Ms Edwards' handbag, keys or mobile phone but were trying to pinpoint the exact location of the phone in Lawrence on that morning.

He said the nature of the meeting between Ms Edwards and her estranged husband was of "significant interest" to police and inquiries were ongoing.

Well it's about time.

Good work police, though. It must be damn hard for them to have probably "known" all along, but they simply must get the evidence first.

It'll be interesting to know if & when LE found these phone ping records and did it take a full year to find the records?

It's sad the phone couldn't pinpoint her exact location.

We all had that sneaking suspicion when we saw Ol' Johnny with the sons under the tree in front of the cameras, the very same hinky feelings as I had when I saw Baden-Clay.

I pray they can bring Sharon home for closure and justice is served soon.

Our wonderful cops call it a hunch.

OMG I was just thinking about this case this morning. I hope they can bring closure to her poor children

Channel9 news said Sharon was having dinner with her boyfriend of 15 months and friends.

It sounds like LE are still waiting for forensics to find other phone pings which were close to hers on the night she disappeared.

Why is that taking so long??

It is hard to believe it has been a year. This was one of the first cases I followed on Webseluths after registering (due to the William Tyrell case).

Haven't we been told that there was no estrangement between the couple?

Glad that this case has taken a step forward.

So the clothes sharon was wearing at the GI Pub were found back at her place.
Her FB page had a new uploaded photo of her sitting at a beach in the early hours of that morning (since removed) and her car is still parked at her place with no keys, mobile or purse to be found.

Wow.
