There is also a young British backpacker, Hugo Palmer, who went missing in February 2019, from Shelley beach in Port Macquarie NSW, with his friend 20-year-old Erwan Ferrieux, who was French. They were presumed to have drowned in rough seas while surfing.

A few small bones discovered 4 months later, on a beach a few miles north of Shelley Beach were identified to belong to Erwan Ferrieux.

La Perouse Beach is approx 400km south of Shelley Beach so I think probably unrelated to either case, however I’ve no idea either how far remains can travel on this stretch of NSW coastline.

( Hugo & Erwan have their own thread here, apologies I don’t know how to share the link)

“Could Kevin James Pettiford, 34, who is also homeless be responsible for her death?

He has been arrested on the 27th of November in tweed heads. (Linking the carton of milk with his arrest date, it seems like he has been in the area at that)”

Theo could have been victim of Kevin James Pettiford as well?

Pettiford is a violent man. Also tried to kill an inmate in prison with a combination of razor blades, four weeks after his arrest for the murder of the homeless man. Was transferred to another prison, and slashed a guard through the meal hatch into his cell.

I don’t think the cult theory is something they are currently running with, I think it was mentioned by one of the psychics On YouTube who have speculated early on that he may be alive but held captive somewhere.

It’s definitely worth reading through all the threads if you’re interested James

I looked into this extensively - you have the current one under investigation with the CAFE the 12 Tribes.
There are a number more Ill go back and remind myself what they were... and post here again..

IMO the French back packers clothes were on the beach, to me that looks like they intended to go into the water. Extremely smart serial killer if that's how it happened and couldn't possible have not left traces of their dna on the clothes of the French back packers

The camp site with the perfect tarp right near the beach that the phone ran past had better have been dna tested, it was a spot used by the suspect to observe people on the beach. It takes a lot of skill to set up a tarp like that definitely not something you could do unless you had training. I think he may have been kidnapped by a commune sort of religious tribe. I think there could be a corrupt leader in the hills of Byron or nimbin who may have started a cult. He or she may have recruited people from Byron to brain was with drugs sort of like datura basically an extremely strong mind altering drug that can be extracted from plants. I've heard of it being blown into the face of unsuspecting people and they will happily do anything you ask, I've head of people getting their houses robbed and taking robber happily to the bank to with draw all their money then they come back to reality in a few days and realise they've been robbed but can't really do anything about it. Maybe the leader was in with cheeky monkeys he's probs manipulated them or has a girl or someone who recruits people in cheeky monkeys. I also think the homeless man with bushy hair who was acting strange could speed things along along a little. I'm 99.99% sure I've seen him twice in tweed at the end of last year before corona virus hit. Does anyone who if he's been found and ruled out by detectives yet. I'm not sure if this is the work of a serial killer or a cult leader but we need to all try our best to get the answers sooner rather than later for Theo's family. I personally don't think police have done anywhere near enough on this case. Its starting to look like that could have been a credible sighting on the side of the road in Coffs, does the description of the ill patient with the van match the description of the man on the side of the road with the body yelling for help when the lady drove off.

I think if the dna from the tarp and campsite/prey spot and the hat all match they need to test the missing homeless mans sister and father who said they haven't spoke to him for years just to rule him out because for all we know he might have just started living there after the real suspect already left town cause it wasn't within 24 hours he was reported missing and people started searching

Hi i tend to agree

Twist in case of missing backpacker reveals Theo Hayez wearing unidentified watch | Daily Mail Online

Fresh twist in case of missing backpacker Theo Hayez as it is revealed he was wearing something unexpected before his disappearance

An army of volunteers who have led the search for missing Belgian backpacker Theo Hayez have spotted new details about the watch he was wearing when he vanished.

The tourist, who was 18 at the time, was last seen leaving Cheeky Monkey's bar in Byron Bay, northern New South Wales, on May 31, 2019, after being asked to leave about 11pm.

He was staying at the Wake Up! hostel, and was wearing a black hooded jumper, tan pants, black shoes and watch, and a grey Puma hat.

The hat was found five weeks later but police called off the search and referred his disappearance to the NSW coroner after failing to find any trace of him.

Now, the search team have taken to the Looking for Théo Hayez Facebook page asking for help to identify the 'make, brand and model' of his digital wristwatch.

'We recently found out that the black watch that Theo was wearing wasn't the one we thought but a new one rather similar,' a post on the page read.

'The display (digital only, no hands) and the straps are different.

'Please have a look at this photo. Can you help us to identify the make, brand and model?'

Check out the Casio G-Shock range of watches. We bought my nephew one for his 18th birthday. Looks very much like this kind of watch. They have a whole bunch of different models. And they are all the rage among men from 18-30 years old. Very hardy, and all kinds of tech functionality.

The G-Shock watch band seems the same as the one in the photos, and there is a very wide range of different actual watches.

Maybe Casio themselves could help?

Human remains found on two beaches at Port Macquarie
A crime scene has been set up after human remains were found at two beaches on the New South Wales Mid North Coast.
The remains, believed to belong to the same person, were found at the top of the high tide mark, according to Chief Inspector Mick Aldridge.
Police have been searching for a local man whose car was found at Lighthouse Beach more than a week ago.
Last week the land and sea search for 56-year old Mark James, whose car was found at Lighthouse Beach south of Port Macquarie on September 19, was suspended.

Chief Inspector Aldridge said police were investigating whether the remains belonged to the missing man.
"With the remains, we'll do DNA testing and do a number of other examinations on it and hopefully we can identify who they belong to."

What a difficult time for those families missing a loved one in this area.

My thoughts & prayers go out to them as they wait for further news.

In Hayez’s case, it took the extraordinary efforts of his loving, determined and tech-savvy family to get vital information, hacking his Google account to discover a virtual Aladdin’s cave of data.

Google had been recording the location of Hayez’s Oppo smartphone every 15 seconds, down to the precise latitude and longitude and time stamped to the millisecond, on the night he went missing.

The trail led from a Byron nightclub through suburban streets and then rugged bushland to Cosy Corner at the northern tip of Tallow Beach, near Cape Byron Lighthouse, around midnight.

There was much more, including what Hayez had looked at online, when he’d checked maps and what he was searching on maps.
