Maybe I'm old-fashioned or sexist or something, but if 2 murders are committed in the way they seem to have been, my first thought would be that the murderer was a male.

was the fire victim a suspect in the bashing of her friend who subsequently took his own life?
Hi Scott,

Your question and theory has merit IMO.

This is what I found about the “grievous bodily harm” incident: BBM

‘A response from the Queensland Police Service said detectives attended an alleged incident in Maryborough between a 25-year-old man and a 29-year-old man on Thursday, February 6, 2020.

"Initial inquiries suggest the 25-year-old received injuries consistent with grievous bodily harm," a spokesman said.

"Two parties were involved, both men were well known to each other.

"The 25-year-old attended a Saltwater Creek Road address late on the night the alleged incident occurred.

"As a result of the alleged altercation, both men received injuries with a baseball bat being located at the scene.’

AFAIK the person who was suspected by police in the GBH case was in his 20s (29 in fact) on Feb 6, 2020.

Todd Mooney was 54 years old when he died and would have been to 52 in the year 2020.

All JMO

Maybe I'm old-fashioned or sexist or something,
BBM

I mean, the only person of interest in the case is a female, aged 24.

All IMO.

I meant that my first thought would have been to think the killer was a male, if there was no other information to go on. Sorry to be unclear.

According to the Courier Mail article:

Regarding Todd Mooney -
Always a hard worker, he‘d rise before midnight and work through till 4pm every day.

What was he doing at home during the day on 20 December? Did his normal schedule change to accommodate daughter Kirra being on school holidays?
I cant read the full story however how is it even possible for someone to work those hours? He must not sleep much. And every day? IMO not possible. Either an exaggeration by the media or an error. If any truth to that IMO nobody could function let alone a relationship

Bakers always get up early. If you want lots of kinds of fresh bread, in multiple forms and varieties, ready by six or seven in the morning, you have to start really early. I knew someone who worked for Baker's Delight, where, presumably, they're using a lot of premixed flour blends for consistency of batches and churning them out by the book, and even they were instore working by four am. If Todd was doing the prep and early bakes alone, it's entirely likely he would begin at midnight.

This four-hour window, police believe, is the key to solving the case.He would also not comment if it’s believed Kirra and Todd were dead before the fire, but said a focus of the ground search of the area on Thursday would be to uncover a weapon such as gun or knife.

But to work through till 4 each day? that is a huge amount of hours. I know bakers start early its more just how on earth they even functioned this many hours each day. I would be floored

One of the first initial reports, IMO they already had some form of idea when asking for footage from 10am of CCTN in the area

I wonder if the second fire was to destroy evidence before getting back into Maryborough.
Last night we were travelling home through Maryborough and noticed Eatonvale road has an exit directly off the highway. So MOO if she travelled from Ban Ban Springs through Booubyjan and back up through Tiaro she would easily be able to leave the highway. The area is quite secluded with the river backing and the other side of the bank is quite high up.
Wish we had a dash cam, we travelled that way on December 20 at about 2:30-3.

Wow talk about timing!

I just find it odd she would set fire to the car involved a couple km from where she was reported to be staying at the Caravan park. I mean most would have left the car out whoop whoop and torched it then gone into hiding. But to drive it back closer to home then do it just plane weird! Strange behaviour for someone alleged to have committed two murders and burnt down a property a few hours earlier

I agree. I know the road that she may have travelled is relatively quiet and getting a lift back would be quite difficult. Also, MOO I don’t believe that she is all that bright or in a right frame of mind.

I wonder if the changing of the colour of the vehicle meant something.
It's usually after a crime that someone would do that, like in the Carol Clay and Russell Hill case.

Maybe she had been in the Biggenden area previously "doing something" when her car was red.

Maybe this was meant to be the first time she'd been there, now that her car was white.

I think she totally didn't get how her car would stand out whatever the colour, especially with the solar roof.

BBM.

Very true, TF.

It’s such an unusual model of vehicle, and the solar panel was always going to be a massive giveaway.
