With the outcome of his encounter with Warriena, it just seems that there must have been something a little different about this hook-up. Something that didn't go the same way as previous ones, where women either were happy (?) to be with him, or fled from his apartment and ceased all communication with him.

It sounds like things have kind of been building up for him this year, judging by his criminal behaviour - assaulting police in Jan, high speed chase in July, banned from local nightclubs, now this.....and who knows what else that we don't know about?

Sounds like he was kind of spiralling out of control - and unfortunately Warriena may have triggered something for him. One rejection too many maybe?

True that his behaviour could have been escalating.

I was also wondering if there is some kind of reporting facility on Tinder .. where a person can be reported for some kind of misuse .. like luring people .. and filming them.
And police would definitely have been interested in that kind of behaviour.

Warriena may have spotted a camera(s) in his apartment. Or he may have boasted of filming someone who apparently took a wallet from his apartment - as per YouTube videos attributed to him - and questioned him about his filming activities. http://www.youtube.com/user/MrRidgeforrester

With her great love of animals and public advocacy for their protection, Warriena may have been the kind of person who was not afraid to also stand up for women who may be taken advantage of. She seemed like a person whose heart was truly in the right place.

Something caused a loud argument ... she didn't just turn and leave, as others before her had ... although I guess she could have tried to turn and leave, but something/someone stopped her from doing so.

The balcony sex was mentioned in MSN and his penchant for it - sorry Marlywings is that what you are referring to? What was discussed in my post has been in MSM and I was just summarising my thoughts on what might have happened. Now the media has confirmed he secretly filmed his sexual encounters with women - I honestly thought he did and have been worried about the same thing happening. Probably why I don't use Tinder and organise random hook ups - you never know what someone has rigged up at their house. Just such a hideously vile case :-( Poor Warriena...this GT bloke sounds completely unhinged...

Mr Tostee also claimed to use a drone and a telescope to watch neighbours and passers-by from his high-rise.

He also talked about watching people from his 14th-floor balcony, asking for advice on the best equipment.

“I have a parrot AR drone with a built in camera and Wi-Fi remote control so I can control it and record first person from my phone,” Mr Tostee wrote in a post last year.

“Haven’t really used it that much since it gets confused when I try to fly it off my apartment balcony.”

In another post, he asked for advice on the best telescope to buy.

“Bought a spotting scope a while ago for my balcony, it has a 15x zoom and 50mm aperture but it’s difficult to see things since the visible part inside the circle is too small,” he wrote.

A word I am seeing very often in this case is "creeper".

I think that is proving a more and more accurate description, with every bit of info that emerges...

'We took some discs from the apartment. There are no [sex tapes].'

Mr Hutchinson added there was no evidence the apartment was set up with cameras or surveillance equipment.
