As a child, Ms Tagpuno-Wright attended Porirua's Seventh Day Adventist Church where her mother is a deacon. The pastor there said the church is supporting the family in this sorrowful time, and has requested their privacy be respected.

From your link ...

"A key witness is a man outside the apartment block who saw her fall at 2:20am."

"But the man who knows exactly what happened is Gable Tostee."

Hi Whatson!!

:welcome6:

Great to have you here!!

Well that guy, combined with the woman in the apartment building who saw her fall (can't find link this second  but it was posted on thread a while back somewhere), makes at least two witnesses.

I wonder if they saw a struggle before she fell?

Or saw her climb over the balcony railing in an attempt to get away from the altercation?

Tributes to Warriena ...

Warriena Tagpuno remembered as a "precious soul".

“The world lost a precious soul ... One of the kindest most beautiful people I knew inside and out”.

... their “beautiful” friend, better known as Rrie.

"I will always cherish the best moments I have had with you while you were here. I will never forget you my dearest friend who I love and keep close to my heart forever."

''She was really shy and quiet"

"She was really nice - a beautiful person inside and out. She was really caring.”

Kiwi wedding guest dead after making hook-up through online dating service

Rrie, an animal rights advocate and the daughter of a Christian church deacon, was on the Gold Coast for a wedding, travelling from her home in Lower Hutt for a fortnight-long adventure with her Australian friends.

Days ago, Rrie was photographed holding a giant python at Australia Zoo, laughing as the reptile wrapped itself around her neck.
Rrie was a passionate animal rights activist who once wrote to Parliament appealing for tougher penalties for animal cruelty offenders. "This is something I strongly believe in, and seeing how people in New Zealand treat animals has truly made me ashamed of this country," she wrote in a post added to the Government's website in 2013.

Do not sleuth people who have not been named as a suspect. Keep in mind that there could have been anyone in the apartment with Ms. Wright.

"Ms Wright, 26, was seen with Mr Tostee on the balcony of his Avalon apartment in Surfers Paradise drinking and talking on Thursday night.

Police are still trying to piece together exactly what happened next."

I wonder if a group of them came back to Tostee's apartment for an after-party. MSM doesn't mention it, but perhaps the others were just not mentioned for some reason? Perhaps it was another of Tostee's guests who saw him with Warriena on the balcony? Or other(s) stayed inside and did not go on the balcony? I guess CCTV at the Avalon will show that one way or the other.

A Gold Coast man says he is “devastated” about the death of New Zealand tourist Warriena Tagpuno Wright but denies having anything to do with her fall from his apartment balcony.

Ms Wright, 26, fell 14 floors to her death from the balcony of the Avalon apartments in Surfers Paradise about 2.30am on Friday.

She had spent the night with Gable Tostee at his apartment, however he was not there when police arrived at the scene.

Queensland Police are continuing to call for anyone who may have security footage of the Avalon apartments at the time of Ms Wright's death to come forward. Detectives are expected to provide an update on the investigation on Monday afternoon.

From your link possumheart... :(

Delwyn Grooby, who said she was staying in the neighbouring Tiki apartment complex, told Fairfax Media she heard three distinct screams on the night of Ms Wright’s death.

“There was fear in her second scream that made me feel sick and frightened for her,” Ms Grooby said.

“In the silence that followed I prayed that someone had come to her rescue. When the third scream came I really can’t explain how I felt.”

'I am devastated': Gable Tostee takes to bodybuilding forum to deny he threw Warriena Tagpuno Wright to death from 14th floor of Gold Coast apartment

Detective Hutchinson said a forensic examination of the unit was continuing today and there was 'no doubt' that police would speak again with Mr Tostee.

'But the investigation at the moment is in the evidence gathering and information gathering stage, so we have numerous detectives working on the case - we are gathering a lot of information and we are interviewing a lot of people,' he told Radio NZ.

'Once we work our way through that process we'll sit down and determine the next direction for the investigation.'

No charges in relation to the 26-year-old's death have been laid, but the 26-year-old's death is being treated as suspicious by police and are appealing to the public for information.

His last post was at 11.30. The attitudes of some of those posters infuriate me.

A post-mortem examination was being carried out today, but it was too soon to know when Ms Wright's body would be released to her family.

"But we'll be able to facilitate that as soon as we can," he said.

Police were still receiving "positive information" from the public.

"We're going to put out more requests to reinforce that so the information keeps coming in."

Warning for Tinder users

As police investigate Ms Wright's death, NetSafe chief technology officer Sean Lyons says Tinder is more dangerous than other dating apps because of its "immediacy".

"There is a connection possible right now, this second," Mr Lyons told TV ONE's Breakfast.

"That takes away some people's ability to think."

The social networking app is linked to Facebook and matches people in a similar area, giving them the opportunity to chat, meet or "hook up".
