PS and I guess a lot of them have a LOT of time on their hands"

No offence to you at all nowvoyager, but that info in the msm article is just a PR exercise from the government imo.

There is a very powerful prison economy that is run solely on contraband. And many of the guards are aware of it and assist - that's the way it works. It's the way of all prisons.

And they have to be seen to make token gestures in the media to placate the tax-payer who believes that everything is above board.

I don't think it's really him with a smuggled phone. He'd be leaving too much of an electronic trail proving that he's broken prison rules if he had one on him.

It's possible. However, I imagine that his lawyers have told him to keep his nose clean for now... (because later on, if he is released, he can break the law and call them for help and they can keep making lots of money)

Yeah, I do suspect he's written it down and a family member is doing his bidding in this case.

It will be interesting to know whether that 3 minute pause near the pillar outside gave him any opportunity to feel sure the death was real, not imagined (ie. could he see the body from that location?).

He may have been quite fearful of being thought to be responsible and decided to flee the scene. I don't know how common this is for innocent people. And it's perhaps possible his feelings of guilt may only have stemmed from actually having met her and spending the evening with her - not necessarily from causing a balcony fall. Maybe. It could try to be argued.

Kara -- I just have to wonder how anyone who terrorises a date, shoves her onto a balcony whereon she vanishes over the edge utterly, then both sees and hears police and ambulance arrive at the scene 14 floors down could NOT be aware that his date is in fact, dead.

His insta-call to the lawyer and near-immediate fleeing the scene seem to support that his 'imagined' thing is total BS, and is his whining that he doesn't know if she's dead or not. Why not ask a policeman at the scene? There was plenty about. A: GUILT

eta: plus his paranoia re police and where his dad should park. do innocent people often direct the getaway driver to park where police won't find them? I wonder.

I am not fooled by his head games. Not a bit.

I agree - plus it just sounds way too formal and correct for it to be GT himself. If he was going to the trouble of accessing the internet, surely his posts would sound more personal and stressed. I think it's someone close to him who is wanting to either gauge or engender some public support for him - and of course out trot a few loyal 'bros'. Possibly an immediate family member? I wonder if either his family or even his lawyer hope to harness public support through facebook - can't see it working myself.
After a self-imposed break from WS for a few days, I have to say - gawd, those transcripts! :notgood:

Good point re the formal language - that is like an older person....

And great to see you again Catswhiskers!! :seeya:

Just noting a couple new timeline entries I haven't seen before -- damn the media, giving it out in dibs and drabs. Vultures..

12.57am: He says, 'don't go baby please and then asks 'are you hungry at all, to which she replies 'I don't usually eat'.

1.01am - 1.06am: He tells her he has 'IQ of 150 but doesn't use it' and shows her 'some house that he has designed' before telling her to 'chill, have a drink'. he makes a reference to his day job, saying she can 'come to my work tomorrow ... you can help me lay carpet'.

1.09am: He says they should go to Jupiter's [casino] and they discuss that 'food and sex and sleep are the best things in the world'.

1.16am: After discussing gods, and him saying he is 'Zeus' there is the sound of hitting and he says 'You have no idea ... English mother *advertiser censored**er. Do you speak it?'

The 'I don't usually eat' thing could suggest that usually when high on a certain drug, the individual prefers not to eat.

Tostee goes and gets pizza later as well, so it seems he genuinely could have been hungry (as well as alibi possibility).

There's NO mention of drugs in the transcript. Just a lot of Tostee's moonshine that he keeps pouring for her, though she doesn't want it.

I know several women who don't eat when they go out. Especially on a date.

Maybe he *did* get kinda hungry though. As one does immediately after one's date falls 14 floor to her gruesome bloody death.

I've seen no evidence anywhere of him feeling any guilt at all. On the transcripts he expresses absolutely no concern about Warriena or the fact that she died. All he's concerned about is himself.

I think he was heard to say he hoped she hadn't died.

The evidence of guilt could be in fleeing the scene? Surely, in general, people express guilt/innocence in a range of appropriate or inappropriate actions, not just words. 'Seeing evidence of him feeling guilty' may not be possible just yet with just the transcript. Perhaps other footage/audio will reinforce/dispute that.

I'm just thinking more broadly about human responses - but agree that Tostee seemed preoccupied with himself after WW fell.

I had to do it!!! I can see some horrendous truths in that photo.

Not so pretty boy there.......

Not so pretty boy now. My mum used to say 'evil shows on your face'.
I think had a nose job since that Tom Cruise pic.
I dislike Tom Cruise.

A HIGH security prisoner posted a “selfie” from his Queensland prison cell and posted it on his Facebook page in a major security breach.

Seven News can reveal the incident sparked a police investigation into how inmate Aubrey Walsh obtained a mobile phone with internet access, which are both banned within Queensland jails

Walsh also had access to editing apps so he could plaster his prisoner identification number D90337 across the photograph.

Officers said Walsh’s former cellmate at the jail was recently found with a mobile telephone strapped to his genitals.

I had a couple of things - and I'm sorry if they've been addressed elsewhere...

1) Does anyone know why the actual recordings are not being released? Is it because they could later influence a jury? It would be interesting to hear the actual words, tones and noises, rather than just read the transcripts.
2) Does anyone know why he seems to record absolutely everything? I mean, it seems like he had a different recording device for the events with Warriena than the one he used afterwards with his father... which means that he would have to actually started recording again on another device after he left the apartment to pick up the subsequent conversations. Who thinks like that?? I could sort of see having the recording in the apartment based on his posting of other 'encounters' he's had with women - but who would have the presence of mind to start recording again right after when he leaves the building?

O/T but there's that dodgy Townsville prison system again. Any contraband that ends up in prisoners hands either gets there with the blessing/assistance of some dodgy staff members, or due to them not observing security measures to the letter I'd think.
