As far as I know, the only person who has been reported as seeing the cars was the FM, and she would not recognise whether the cars belonged to residents.True, but wouldn't the neighbours recognise the cars as being locals?

The cars were there from the time William's FM saw them from the balcony when she went out there with the children to look for a local kookaburra, and again when she was playing with William and his sister in the yard (celery tree). This was after the 9 am green-grey/grey car drive-by and u-turn (whilst she was watching the children ride their bikes on the driveway).
Therefore, the drivers' of those cars weren't there on a 'quick' visit. Maybe hiding (waiting) in plain sight? (A PI did just that to find my siblings and I. We were basically 'stalked' but not abducted, thank God. This doesn't influence my thinking; in fact, a random opportunistic abduction is a simpler explanation. I'm taking into consideration DCI Jubelin, Police Commissioner Scipioni, Premier Mike Baird and Justice Minister Troy Grant's 'beliefthat William is still alive as there is no indication he is deceased'. If a stranger abduction occurred than it's more than likely William is deceased. They would know that. I don't get the impression they are lying.

From memory, several. The undeveloped block across the street, and #35, and I think someone came up with a couple of others way back in the threads somewhere.
The open car windows suggest that the drivers were not intending to remain parked there for very long.
The temptation is to take the fact that the drivers of the two cars have not come forward, and to reach the conclusion that the two cars MUST be relevant.
That is a risky assumption to make, because I think by far the commonest abduction scenario is a lone perpetrator, who cannot drive two cars at once.
I can find many cases of abduction which involve a vehicle, but none that involve two vehicles simultaneously.
Here is a useful reality check - has there ever been a case of an abduction by two people, who take two vehicles to do the abduction?
Ah, I didn't realise that. Thanks. As far as I know, the only person who has been reported as seeing the cars was the FM, and she would not recognise whether the cars belonged to residents.
Sneaky Beach is a little kids computer game.
The storyline reads like this ...... a bit like William's disappearance.
"You and your cat Sneaky went to the beach house for vacation. You just finished unloading the car when you noticed Sneaky had disappeared. Now you must use your Sneaky spy skills to find him! Good luck and have fun playing!"

Or it shows how everyone thought it was a safe area.
William's shirt reads "squeaky beach, QLD", not sneaky.

Great theory, White Lion. Welcome!
This theory covers a lot of our questions. And I have never thought about the perspective that the police are only talking about the family that they always talk about (sort of as if the other family does not exist, because they can't talk about them).
I guess my only question would be, how did this person know that William would be at his grandmother's house? And a day early. That is the part that always stumps me.
