Just because there is no other suspect perhaps.

I don't see it as that shocking or surprising that the washer repairman was inside the Grandma's home. How else would he know what part to order other than examining the washer? And I would think the repairman had been in at least a hundred homes in the past---most with kids as well. Just wondering why this one was different.

Considering the privacy and protection orders; and all other sundries ( ie. background info..which i cant expand on without breaking TOS rules), concerning this cAse..
I am definitely getting a " son's of anarchy" vibe around it....

( but then I am sometimes prone to wild goose chases- so who knows?)

if you arent sure whether you are breaking the rules it may pay to re-read Tricia's post on pg 22 :)

Back in the day, I used to be really confused about referencing FB links and comments. I used to PM a mod and ask them if I could post something before I posted it.

Since then, I have learned that you can link an official FB site (police, search and rescue, media, official "Missing" site - also a deceased/missing victim, an official POI/suspect, but you have to be positive it is them) and you can say "look at the comments by ABC on 21st July" but no-one can comment on or discuss what they read at all. You definitely cannot link or talk about comments or photos on anyone else's FB site, especially family and friends.

I don't know if that helps at all.

Hoping someone might be able to answer this. When a child is placed in a foster home that's not the biological family are the bio parents informed who the foster parents are? Or does it depend on individual circumstances?

i have read in several msm reports bill spedding walked around the side of the house to view the washing machine at williams grandmothers, so just assumed it was in that downstairs area, (even though there looks to be a detergent box in the upstairs window which could be there for any other reason) and it could have been one of williams hiding places.
really the simplest scenario for william missing is someone took him, it had to be someone who was there in that short instant of time, who was there then? a neighbour, visitor, tradie?
did bs decide to grab a coffee and fit that small job in quickly before the school awards, if the machine was downstairs in the carport he would have easy access to it and get it done without fuss as he was in a hurry, was there a little spiderman hiding there from his sister?

top guns on this case...

THE homicide squad took over the investigation into the disappearance of William Tyrrell shortly after he went missing but are still not completely convinced the three-year-old is dead.

The Newcastle Herald can also reveal one of the state’s most respected homicide investigators, Detective Inspector Gary Jubelin, has taken over the lead role in the investigation just days after police searched two properties belonging to a local handyman.

Detective Inspector Jubelin, who has locked up some of the worst criminals in the state and was portrayed in an Underbelly series for his conviction of Anthony ‘‘Rooster’’ Perish, will now be the officer in charge following the retirement of Detective Inspector Hans Rupp.

Back in September I was 90% certain I had identified who WT was with when visiting Grandma. I didn't look back once things went quiet and I only remembered last night about it. Interestingly absolutely every bit if information (social media or otherwise) on the "guardians" has been removed from the Internet. That is quite some achievement and leads me towards what others have mentioned in terms of protection at the highest level for the guardians.

First post - so hopefully I won't break any rules! What if one of the foster parents/guardians themselves worked in the Community Care System? Wouldn't that be more reason to keep them protected?

Wonder if they brought him because he has skills in the types of leads they have, or because of dissatisfaction with the results of the search and maybe the lack of leads.

Hmm... There's a post a few up, quoting the Newcastle Herald, says that detective Jubelin had replaced retired detective Rupp, who I guess was leading the investigations. It's interesting though that Jubelin is the replacement, wonder if it just happened he was readily available, or if he was specifically put on the case for, as you said, his skills?

I fully agree with SOA thoughts.....based on the amount of work done in the IT space based on my comments on the previous page.

im thinking specialist skills

Well obviously a detective has skills. My questions is more around timing... has he arrived due to new evidence they need help with, possibly from the recent raids... or because they've reached the end of the road with the investigation so far, and he is necessary to reignite a trail gone cold?

Det Rupp retired - Det Insp Jubelin is taking over - I don't think it's anything more than that except for the fact that Det Insp Jubelin has experience in cases with children disappearing, and he's from a relatively close area.

Hi everyone,

I'm one of the lurkers who finally decided to say Hi! I've been following this disappearance closely (I have small kids myself) For reasons I can't explain I seem quiet fixated on the fate of this little boy.

Anyway I've been very much enjoying the discussion. Not much to add at the moment as I'd be breaking the rules...:jail:

An old case from many years ago a girl went missing from Rosebud Victoria..sharee Beasley was her name. Her killer didn't intend to kill her but this happened due to his "handling" of her during the hours he had her. The murder Robert Lowe didn't have any recorded history that I can remember... Sometimes these fithly animals just live amongst us. Does Speddo have any whispers?

This article is only days after WT disappearance.

The Australian can reveal that police have - in addition to bringing sex crime detectives into the investigation who were yesterday door knocking houses in Kendall - called on the assistance of FAC's which has been in contact with the boys relatives.

We are working with the NSW police and the family and are doing all we can to assist in this matter a Facs spokeswoman said.
Asked why FAC's had become involved, she said "police are leading the investigation" .... child protection is a fundamental role and responsibility of FAC's and it's in the best interest of the community for us to work alongside other agencies.

Then we learn that Facs were investigating BS about his treatment of children ............

The homicide squad turned their attention to Mr Spedding in mid Dec without knowing about the 9 Dec FACS inquiry.

Is that likely with all these agencies working together?

This is a long shot, but could FACS have been called into the investigation early, knowing that Spedding had been to the house and had kids in his care? Just trying to think outside the box. We only just learned about Spedding, but the cops knew about him from Day One.

In those first days I actually just thought FACS had become involved because a very young child went missing, and another young child was still there, and that FACS just had general welfare concerns / offering assistance to a family in a time of dire need. Then the 'complicated family history' came up.
