And possibly he wasn’t a known sexual offender if he went to prison sometime after ( not confirmed yet AFAIK) If he already had a record surely he would have been on the radar if his whereabouts were known.
As revolting and heinous a crime as sexual offending against children is, it seems so unlikely that it would progress to murder.. especially when the offender is elderly. Unless it was an accident... IMO

By the way I'd say from the look of their place, the neighbours who were concerned about FA with their children and dog were at Misty Way rather than near the mill in Herons Creek Road.

Does it seem FA was at Misty Way first, then when ejected from there went to the mill?
i was more thinking you can take a boat out to sea ?

Which picture number? Now you mention it I can see a car of some sort in the background of 17. No idea what colour, but it's maybe a 4WD? I searched for a building that matched the one in that picture, no success at all.
its the one with the arch way

Would be good to know how long FA has been imprisoned for and what vehicle he had if any.

William did have asthma .....

But it is also possible that, if he took William, he couldn't return him due to the massive searches. And he couldn't just leave him somewhere where he could be found due to potential DNA evidence.

We used to wonder if an offender just left William in the forest somewhere, and nature took its course with survival being too hard for a 3 year old.

Did it explain anything about 'blood' dogs, dr? If their purpose is just for detecting blood?

Just found this SA very interesting

For sniffing out crime and missing persons, science backs blood-detection dogs

But the smell of blood can also be used to locate it at crime scenes. In recent years, several law enforcement agencies in Europe and Australia have introduced blood-detection dogs, which are trained specifically for blood evidence.

By using this distinct dog unit, a large search area can be screened as a potential crime scene in cases of assault, missing persons, mass disasters or suspected homicides where a body may not be present.

Blood-detection dogs are a recently specialised unit under a broader grouping of scent-detection dogs used by law enforcement. The dogs’ highly sensitive sense of smell can locate a range of target odours including drugs, explosives, human bodies (known as “cadavers”) and now blood.

they cant of found any or the place would be taped off..

I did notice the arch way. Does the car look greenish to you? It's in so much shadow I can't tell. I thought the blue-green fence type things were interesting. I saw one place with similar structures in cream colour.
yes green or blue, and i guess little garden beds

Yes.. I think a more likely scenario than deliberate murder IMO
