Thanks JLZ, I just feel terribly sad for Gary, and the investigation, unreal that he wasnt allowed to do a handover, so much info lost.

I'm sure team Rosann was able to give a hand0ver - like WTf - does anyone seriously think they didn't??? He was off the case. Just wow. That was one part of that interview I thought was just ... IMO. He shouldn't be there - giving handovers - if he's off the case. There are plenty of others working on the team, who are just as up to date & totally capable.... If not - we have to consider one person knew the job & 20 others didn't? Do you know any team at your work like this? run by one man - unless he's a psychopath (your boss?) then this is a fallacy for sure. Just word mongering

Employees handover in all forms of trade no matter why they are leaving.

Not if they are taken off the job due to some sort of problem - that's the case... I'm not against Gary, but come on - are we thinking no one else could give a handover? that's just ludicrous isn't it?

It is a crock. I agree.

I do believe that the upper brass just wanted to shut down this expensive, long running case. And GJ was too devoted and persistent to allow that.

So they shoved him out of the way, and then case will now get stored in the cold case bin.

That is not true. It's not in the cold case bin yet - his inquest is not even over. Just remember the Daniel M case, in which the inquest led to the arrest & conviction of his killer...

Yes there are others working on the 'team', though not everyone knows what the others are working on or everything that is happening or aspect of the case. Each person has a different specialty and aren't necessarily competent in other areas.

If you have 20 people working on different parts of the investigation, only the few top people in the strike force/organisation etc know the whole of the investigation. Yes they have meetings to discuss the progress, but not every item is discussed or linked together.

I think your psychopath comment is a bit over the top. Yes, word mongering is how I would put it.

A handover is very necessary IMO.

That was so bittersweet... there was some unusual comments !! I know who Tara was gunning for, so obvious, but we never really got a reason whether he thinks (now) he was after the right guy (then)... maybe he wasn't? Complicated...o_O
It's not complicated, Jubelin was questioning a poi, that's part of his job. You're expecting too much of one person, he hasn't got all the answers and doesn't pretend that he has.

Jubelin worked hard at his job and on this case and he was denied the right to give a handover, it's the ultimate humiliation. You're reading too much into this, he was ostracised and unable to speak to his team, he's giving us a glimpse into that experience, how do you explain a particular event in your life? Blah, blah, skip to the end..?

A screenshot from 60minutes of both vehicles.

From waayyy back I remember GJ saying kids run downhill not up.

While I was still suspecting BS it appears GJ was beading in on PS.
I think many SUVs have the same-ish type of appearance, and they might all look similar to a child, especially a 3 year old. But what of the colour? Wasn't PS's vehicle said to have been white or silver or light? While the FPs vehicle was a much darker green-grey?

I can't find a link, but I remember GJ, not being given a handover for himself, when he took over the case. He wasn't pleased by that. Strange unprofessional conditions there, it seems.

Yes it does appear that BS was the focus with the previous investigator and information was leaked to the press back then. When Jubelin took over he seems to have discounted BS (although they still seem to have some animosity towards him - perhaps they are suspicious of all police for some reason) but he always refused to discuss POI's to the press so I guess that is why the general public were not aware that the focus had changed. However, now he is off the case it seems focus has changed again.

Yes, it also appears that Jubes was prepared to have his actions scrutinised by a Supreme Court judge if charges were laid against Savage. With the Coroner being across the investigation into Savage.

There is a subscriber only article here that says (paraphrasing):
Supreme and Federal Court judges had issued a number of warrants and extension warrants to record conversations inside Savage's home and inside Savage's vehicle, and to place tracking devices on Savage's vehicle and cameras in bushland around Savage's home.
Also - in December 2018 - it says they had been investigating Savage for 18 months at this point - Harriet Grahame also granted a Coronial Investigation Scene Order to search Savage's property and vehicle. (This would have been shortly before Jubes and Lambert were removed from the case.)

Everything I have read thus far seems to indicate that PS wasn't being looked at until sometime in 2017. .. I guess 18 months from Dec 2018 would be mid 2017, so I guess that makes sense. I wonder if the 'Coronial Investigation Scene Order' to grant a search of Savage's property is the reason why PS seems to not be considered a POI any longer? Weren't GJ and Lambert removed from the WT case after they had the physical spat, which would've been somewhere around August 2018?
