So it sounds like the plumber was the one who called in the tip, which may have started the inquiry into Mr.Spedding being a POI, the police may have never even looked at him otherwise....

It has been speculated by some that BS is actually working *with* police because he may have information that has turned out to be potentially relevant. That could be a reason why they visited him on Monday. We really don't know. They also could have appeared at the home to speak to the missus, rather than BS, for all we know.

r
I'm sure they left one of those a long time ago, I was thinking more of them deliberately losing something or pretending to, to give them an excuse to turn up again, there must come a point when they have to have an excuse to keep turning up there or I guess there comes a point when it's considered harrassment

Police have had more than plenty enough time to complete forensic analysis on the mattress and the computer. If there was *any* sign of Wlliam, like a hair, blood, anything, BS would have been long ago in custody.

Yes but don't forget the office building that they removed a mattress and computer from. It would be easy to keep a child in an uninhabitated building

Why would someone call a plumber to repair their pipe and lead them straight to evidence of an abduction? Either BS is a victim of circumstance and very biased media coverage or he is completely deluded he will get away with a brazen act. I'm often wrong but I think he is innocent. Jubelin's visit may well have been to see how BS is holding up, weird I know, however the investigators may be feeling some duty of care to him while his reputation is being destroyed...? This case is a real cluster *advertiser censored**. I'd love for discussion to be able to explore the areas that are off limits in this forum.

Yes, you would hope so. Also, wasn't there talk of a couple living in the office bldg?

I could well be wrong too Frogwell, I have thought all along that BS was innocent.

I agree with all you say. I have always felt there is so much we don't know - that vital info is being held back. Could be that a fair few people knew the family were coming to stay.

Maybe MS or Colin (dear old Colin) called the plumber...maybe MS could not get a hold of BS.

This was a rumour floating around months ago and it was supposed to have been a Spiderman suit that was found. Obviously we weren't able to discuss it here at the time because it was a rumour. I'm pleased that it has finally come out in MSM. What I would like to know is the source of The Telegraph's information.

The Daily Telegraph understands a plumber called to Mr Spedding’s house for a repair found a child’s shirt causing a blockage in a pipe, which further raised suspicions.

I wonder if this plumber is the former partner that Colin alluded to?

I would think that would be awfully scary for a 3 year old to see a man-sized costume wearer like that. I wonder if someone would have noticed something like that on the city bus lines?

I had the strangest dream last night regarding this case... and I don't necessarily believe "things come to you in dreams " etc but I just have to post this here.

I dreamt a 35-45 yr old man, blond hair, he looked a lot like the guy from "The Mentalist", wearing of all things....a 2 piece brown bear suit, like a mascot costume or working at a theme park, he was the abductor. It was somehow tied to William in my dream. I saw William with this man holding his bear paw hand. And also riding on a city bus, lots and lots of bus rides in my dream.

I woke up thinking that maybe somehow William was enticed by a costume or something silly/funny and he was transported on the city bus line or across country.

Now I realize this is a silly dream, but I would never forgive myself if I didn't just write it down on this site and just put it out there.

this is what the costume looked like, very realistic one, not a fuzzy cheap one

If it had been a spider man shirt he would have been arrested long ago. JMO

I don't think pedo rings necessarily have to have kids from one place either. Sometimes these rings are international in nature, and kids could be from anywhere I think?

I'm sure most children in pornagraphic photos don't necessarily have to be missing.

Doesn't mention a spiderman suit in the article. It say's a T-Shirt.

The rumour your referring to was an adult suit found in a bin at a Port Macquarie park

No it's not. I remember the Spiderman suit being found at Port Macquarie. This is separate again. The rumour was that someone had gone to Speddings to fix his septic tank or a pipe and had seen what looked like a Spiderman suit there. The Spiderman suit theory was probably an embellishment during the course of the rumour being spread as it turns out it was a shirt.

Are you saying there were *two* spiderman costumes found since WT's disappearance then? I know one was found at ... wasn't it a park not that far away from Benaroon(?), and close to the time of the disappearance, but apparently it wasn't the exact costume as pictured in the photograph. With BS being involved with washing machines, and such, I really can't see him contacting a plumber about a plugged pipe. I'm assuming he was a bit handy. MOO. But even if so, he did have 3 grandsons living in the house and Spiderman isn't all that rare. Another bit of circumstantial evidence though, if it is even true what the newspaper reported.

No I'm not saying there were two Spiderman suits found! I said there was a RUMOUR that what was found in Spedding's septic tank or pipe was supposedly a Spiderman suit. It obviously wasn't. That's why we're not allowed to discuss rumours on WS. They get blown out of all proportion.
