If the house was/is for sale, that is, in my opinion, going to be very relevent because the perp could have looked through the house, saw photos of Isabel (or, already had been watching her), would have known exactly where her bedroom was, where the parents bedroom was, etc. (the entire layout of the house)....

Not having done any sleuthing on any person not named as a suspect in this case,

I am just saying, many people now days are losing their homes and have to move in with relatives when their home is in foreclosure.

Or the perp was already watching her and the house for sale was an easy way to know the house layout.

The schools that Isabel and her siblings attend will have counselors available to students, faculty, staff and parents, according to Bud Stewart, superintendent of the Academy of Tucson Schools.
Isabel attends the Academy of Tucson's elementary school, and her siblings attend the middle and high schools.
The schools will keep their schedule today, and students and staff will not be interrupted, Stewart said in news release.

this article intimates there is more than one sibling (one in highschool as well)... I hope someone heard something/able to provide some help to investigators....

OT just a bit (sorry mods)

Wouldn't it be great if all realtors/people with houses for rent were REQUIRED to inform prospective tenants/buyers of the presence of RSO's in a close vicinity ?

I know they are required to inform buyers/tenants if anyone has been murdered or killed themselves in a property...why not this too ? It is public record, online in most or all states.... hmmm this could be my summer project :)

Because they are in the business of selling houses, not in the business of talking people out of the house they are looking at. When we moved to Maryland in 1976, the realtor alluded to the racial component of the neighborhood, but did not actually come out and say what she was getting at. She did recommend driving by on a Saturday to see the neighbors in action.

When I rented my house out a few years ago, I checked all potential tenants for RSOs. I owned this home, and knew I would likely live there one day and did not want the neighbors to have a "problem" with me if I HAD rented to an RSO. I also checked online case records to see if my applicants had been evicted, foreclosed, or in collections before renting to them.

I agree.

The Trulia link shows the house as being off-market though.

I have also noticed that Trulia is not the best way to look at what is currently on the market (just bought a house myself and found my new home online)

So with this link it seems the family home was up for sale? Maybe the person was viewing the house and the dogs felt he/she was safe as the owners allowed this person in the house for viewing earlier? Maybe it was someone who was viewing the home for sale? JMO

No, Trulia.com just keeps track of housing trends and valuations. Scroll down and you'll see the house last sold 03/07/2006 and is 'off the market". You can probably find your own house on trulia.

I just put in our address to see what they were estimating our home at being worth...and you're right, it wasn't accurate at all (it was off by well over $300,000 lol).

What does Valuation in Progress mean? (By Assessor's Office)
TIA

I'm not exactly sure as the assessor's website states that value notices are mailed out in February so the value should have already been determined for this tax year.

If I remember right, the moms co-worker stated the 2 brothers are 10 and 14.

:waitasec: how would you get a 6 year old child out a window

and then over a 5 foot wall....:waitasec:

The valuation in process may simply be that theyare appealing their assessment. Plenty of folk do.

From zillow, the house was sold in 2006 for round 400k, considerably more than the surrounding houses...likely a new house built on vacant lot, that sort of infill happened a lot during the housing boom.

Possible even probable they may have been having financial troubles...400k is a lotta mortgage...

this house is not on the market at this time; however, it is easy to get a set of blueprints to a house especial seeing how this house was built in 2005.

To pull a permit they would of had a copy at the permitting department.

And old realtors books may have also showed pictures of the interior when it had been for sale.

OT,but... I believe that by making it a requirement to disclose the close proximity of any RSOs, it would bring about some interesting new dimensions to the ongoing and constant fight to protect kids. Involve business and money in the mix, and you might be surprised at the results...JMO
