Tinkie (cute doggies btw) I think it was BC who was explaining the ponytails after operator asked her what she was wearing, etc...

I agree with you though about all the extra little details that came from SC.

It was a totally random post about the hairstyle, just something I actually understood as she was trying to explain it to the operator on 911. Hairstyles and makeup and stuff always gets my attention, lol!

I'm sorry...my computer is quoting double and getting margins blown and not refreshing...I'm gettin mad. I understand about the hair...you have great attention to detail...and I agree.

Yes...we all came and left together. When my games were early, my brother was brought along early...and we didn't leave until my dads game (always the last of the night) was over. And my sister, who was too young to be a cheerleader was there as well. My games would be around noon, my brothers around 3, and my dads around 6/7.

Ha!! Agreeing to disagree!!! ;)

Ha!! Agreeing to disagree!!! ;)

I can respect that. But, there is no disagreeing on what WE did. It was the norm for us, and from what I saw the norm for many other families too. Obviously, not all families are the same and some do come and leave separately. It just wouldn't raise any red flags with me if they say they didn't.

Morning sleuthers!

Did anyone read the comment section of this Huffpo article where someone comments that Isabel's passport is missing, the implication of the comment being that she was taken to Mexico...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/...hild-welfare-officials-arizona_n_1526158.html

I read the comments and something has clicked for me, too, here (agreeing with other posters). SC was way too calm on 911 call. If these comments have any truth to them at all and SC passed his daughter onto a friend/family in Mexico for safekeeping, there are a couple of reasons why he might have done so:

1) Avoid further interference from CPS if they were investgating because of something that happened to Isabele

2) Keep Isabele safe from abuse

3) Because the parents had received threats about someone taking her

3) Some sort of enrichment scheme

Perhaps the braiding of the hair the night before was done to prep Isabele for travel.

It is possible that the whole family, then, knows what happened, and the voices at 6:30 p.m. were the hand-off.

I, too, like these scenarios because it would mean that she is safe.

But it would also mean that the state of AZ is stuck with a $1 mill plus bill for something that us not actually an abduction.

PS....I promise to NOT discuss the braids or baseball game again!!! LOL
I'm just beating a dead horse.....not important in the scheme of things, anyway.

Site locking up this early in the day is not a good thing :maddening:

How the heck would anyone know what the "note" even had on it? LE wouldn't even discuss the note when the reporter asked the question.

I think it might have been going around the reporters before being brought up, and more so after. However, I don't believe anything from NG until I see it confirmed elsewhere, so for now I will just think "note" instead of pictures.

BUT, not all information about this case is coming from press conferences. Lots of these reporters are calling LE on their own. I've seen them talk about "private interviews." And this is common, to have reporters reach out to their contacts for additional info.

Just watch the reporters swarm the spokesperson at the end of a PC and then you can see how information can end up being reported but does not have to come out of a press conference.

IMO, LE would have announced a long time ago in the press conferences that SC's statements were inconsisent. I am just not buying that after a press conference, that LE would just throw out that SC statements are inconsistent.

The "poop" from people's comments on MSM websites can really through a wrench into discussions when no one even knows if Isa even had a passport.

...I didnt even know children that age has to have a passport.

IMO

In most instances, US citizens - adults and children - do not need a passport to travel to Canada, Mexico, and most parts of the Caribbean (excluding Central and South America). Photo ID, proof of residency, and a birth certificate are usually sufficient. For ease in travel, those who do not plan to travel abroad or beyond the aforementioned destinations, there is a "passport card" that costs less than a passport and resembles a driver's license.

unfortunately, I think another case in AZ is influencing media perception and perhaps LE perception as well, and not in a way that benefits Isabel's parents.

In the Jhessye Shockley case currently awaiting resolution in Glendale, Jhessye WAS confined in a closet, beaten and tortured. There were reportedly drawings and scribblings that this poor angel made, while locked in the darkness of that closet. LE is so convinced by sibling statements and other evidence in that case that the mother killed this child that they have spent the last eight weeks searching the landfill for her body.

I hope that the proximity of that horrific case is not causing people investigating Isabel's case to connect dots that aren't actually there.

I have no idea what happened to Isabel, but I am not ready to buy parental involvement as yet.

LE has no doubt been asked over and over by reporters about SC's answers to their questions. And this was clearly a response to one of those questions, in a private interview or phone call.

You don't have to buy it. But the fact remains that is has now been reported by two MSM sources that SC's statements have been "inconsistent." One of them is a highly credible MSM source.

Again, you don't have to buy it. I understand that some here don't believe anything unless it comes from a LE officer's mouth on a videotape. And that's ok, too. That severely limits the amount of info you have to work with, but, again, I get it. It's a choice.

This "poop" isn't even logical. If Sergio wanted to keep Isabel's location a secret, the last thing he would do is tell this secret to a ten-year-old child.

BBM - For the most part this is true. The US does not require a passport for traveling by land or sea, there are other options. You can have a Trusted Travelers Card, or an Enhanced Drivers License. Children can use a birth certificate. However, different countries have requirements on birth certificates to avoid kidnappings.

However, from what I have read this morning, since 2010 Mexican authorities do require a passport or passport card for EVERYONE coming in.

If Isabel went to Mexico legally it was with a passport AND notarized permission from a parent

just jumping off your post: but that was in the comments section of an article...

it is not known if the passport is missing (or if she even has a passport for that matter)

I don't know whether she had one, whether it's missing, etc. But just for the sake of information and because I'm guessing there will be a lot of speculation regarding passports here is a link explaining the rules etc. for passports for minors. http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/minors/minors_834.html

From PERSONAL experience...
My minor child and I travel to Mexico quite often. I live in Tucson, and we pop over the border for day trips all the time. Visiting friends, shopping or just getting some really yummy tacos. We sometimes walk across and sometimes drive. And not ONCE in all my travels have I ever been asked for I.D. or a passport going IN to Mexico. I've had my car searched quite a few times, but no personal I.D. was required. It is required to have one in order to return to the U.S. My child doesn't need one unless we travel by air (maybe sea travel requires one as well..i can't remember.)

And JMO, I personally wouldn't take a child's passport with me if I were kidnapping them...it makes absolutely no sense to me at all. MOO, JMO and all that...

Who is the other MSM source besides the Today Show, so I can head over and read/listen to what they stated? TIA
