NMc, service of a warrant? Was their home searched, also?

Note to volunteers for a missing child: Never go out alone when searching for a missing child, take someone with you.

I have no clue about the warrant sorry.

But I had put that whole TT driving up asking about a friend of a friend or whatever it was, behind me. I could not understand it the other day after reading several times and then this post has me wondering again b/c I still do not understanding what he was getting at. Is this just another whacka-do?

I'm sorry for discussing what Isabel was wearing the night she disappeared but I am "new" to Isabel's case. I will try not to bring them up again!!
I would have been here sooner, but I am a student and had finals. Anyways, its not what she wore that bothered me, its the fact noone KNOWS what she wore.

Again, I won't be mentioning the p word again.

WHAT? I JUST posted about pajamas.

IS there really a limit?

With no new information, seems to me, we only have old stuff to discuss. Or theories we may have. Besides, with so many members, how do you divide up the topics? If three people discuss pajamas, or guns now, does that mean PJs or guns if a closed topic? I'm confused.

I was thinking about the shower curtain with the reddish brown stains. Could a salon cape be mistaken for a curtain? I know my root touch-up coloring stains a reddish brown and my hair color is a dark brown similar to Becky's family. I'm having trouble seeing how blood would stain a vinyl curtain as it seems dried blood would be more likely to flake off.

In my daughter's bathroom I have a fabric outer curtain and a vinyl inner curtain. The inner curtain is usually stained with hair dya after 6 months or a year and has to be replaced (usually when company is coming and I get in there to really scrub the tub. But I have saved a few for drop-cloths from time to time if I knew a need would be upcoming..

Someone asked why the man who claims to have been misquoted would have signed the statement if it was that far off base. I only asked if someone could provide the page and packet numbers, or just verify that they had seen the witness' signature on his statement. IF he signed it, I agree that he is "back-pedaling." If only the officer signed it, then I can't be sure he (MT) saw it after it was prepared, prior to it being released to the world.

I can't see LE intentionally changing this man's statement; what would be the point? They would not be able to use him as a witness if he denied ever saying what was in the reports. These reports are a form of legal docs; it would be pretty egregious for LE to put down info slanted against the parents on purpose, IMO.

I do wonder though if people who talked to police had any idea that their words would be published. I hope that anyone who may have had real info already gave it, before this doc came out, or they might well think twice.

Did the man speak to two different officers- one that he approached and one that interviewed him> moo I am not sure. But IF two different officers spoke with him , I would tend to believe le.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but what's a "scent sample"? (Taken from Isabel's window). . p. 59, Packet 5?

I am not blaming the parents at all (if in course they didn't have anything to with it which I'm not sure I agree with just yet) however, I hope this is a good lesson to lock the windows, doors and have a good alarm system in addition to a dog/dogs. It is a small price to pay. IMO.

I keep seeing "550 pages released"; yet it seems to be only ~520. Don't ask me why that bothers me. I have no earthly idea. :-)

MOO When Blood hound dogs go on the search for a missing person, it is said that skin cells dry ones flake off and that is what the dog follows. MOO would be that they have some dried skin cells left behind.

Thanks! I would *think* that Isabel's scent sample would be from her clothes, hairbrush, etc. Maybe this scent sample was from whoever opened the window??? Since the sample was taken from the window. Odd.

This bugs me too. Just makes me keep thinking back to Susan Powell and Steve Powell's CD's and DVD's. Wish we knew who owns it!!!!!

In this case I can't imagine who would store anything valuable in such a unit unless it's air conditioned? It is extremely hot in Tucson and wouldn't the CDs be ruined?

:waitasec:

MOO

Most storage unit places here (in Texas) offer air conditioned rooms - I am guessing but Arizona may be the same. Cement structures do keep cooler though, and maybe the CDs were just as described - personal CDs with photos and music on them :)

I am way over here in Kentucky - so I will yield to the locals on this! I know here, many if not most units are air conditioned.

BTW - not saying that is what was there, but I guess somethings will just always have me flashing back to the Powell case, just as some things will always make me flash back to Caylee. :rose:

I am in Tucson and used a storage unit for valuables and CD's ect while I was renovating my home. I don't know why but things were just fine. The unit did not get that hot inside although it was 100 or more on the outside. I did not pay for air conditioning.

Ladies and gents, your input on page 31 of Packet 5 would be much appreciated! I see that a residence on 12th Street was searched, and they found a shotgun, camcorder, pellet rifle, etc. Was this at the Celis' residence? Your take on the matter?

By the way, I found it IMPOSSIBLE to navigate the packets, but then I just saved them to my desktop. Works like a charm.

That was NMc, same licenses number, and in both vehicles it was negative test for bodyfluid. He definitely was at the wrong place at the wrong time that day.

Sorry about that Lisa. Totally got my wires crossed.

In any event, if he didn't read and then sign it then it was a school boy error.

Like I say, where I am it is standard practice. The police ask you to read and then sign to avoid this very thing.

On the other hand, I agree it is wrong to release names of a witness like this.

(snip)
I keep thinking if I check WS less, one day I will come back and find real new news, but I guess we were back on the pajama issue again... All I can add is that my girls decided actual pajamas were "lame" around fourth grade and usually sleep in shorts and tanks in the summer and sweats in the winter.

I was one of the PJ people. I don't think there is a dang thing wrong with wearing shorts and a top to sleep. Or just a top. Or just underpants. I know there were hot nights as a kid my mom let us sleep in swimsuits! I don't think it was neglectful or abusive, it was just a stupid thing that we did.

The ONLY REASON I have asked about the PJs is that IIRC, someone early on (who I believe had helped Isabel when she was choking on something at the game) said that she had on a light tank top and navy shorts at that time. IF the "light" top was pink, then this is what Sergio said she walked by in saying she was too sleepy to want food... or rather, when he went in, dimmed her light and tucked her in... I keep forgetting which it was... (LOL).

Sergio stated that they all had showered. If that is the case, it sounds as if HE believes she redressed in the dirty clothing (she was on the playground, not sitting on the bleachers the whole time) after she bathed. Even if DAD was too oblivious to notice, Mom (who braided her hair) ALSO said she had on navy blue shorts, but that she was in a dark blue shirt (if she had been playing hard in the dirt in a light colored shirt, she might have changed when she got home whether or not she had showered, just because it was visibly dirty). I don't care if she slept in her Halloween costume, to be honest, but her oldest brother was of the opinion that she slept in pajamas, (either pink or green - suggesting he often saw her in pajamas at bedtime, and these were the sets she wore), so if she showered, why didn't she put on what she normally wore to sleep?

It just seems like MAYBE she didn't shower. She could have been too tired to shower or change, and that is okay too. She had an early game and was only going to get dirty again, so why would a parent make up a story about their kid showering?

I did not mean to single you out or come off as snarky. I was just scanning the last few pages and noting that pjs were back on topic. No big thing.
As to not knowing, right now I could not tell you what my girls wore to bed last night for sure. my best guess is one had on pink shorts and a white tee? and one had on maybe a black tank top and some other colored shorts? But I am not sure, and I sat with them in their PJs and watched a few puppy videos on youtube and taked about their plans for this week now that school is out...we probably hung out for an hour after their showers, and I have no REAL answer as to their PJs. I would have to go check the laundry basket to be sure. They each have a drawer for old tees and shorts that they use as PJs, and they just grab something out of it at night time, and I don't think to take note or remember what they choose at all, never occured to me to do so. JMO

ETA and if you asked my husband, he would have no clue. and if you asked each daughter what the other had on, they would only know if it happened to be something borrowed from eachother, because that is the only time they really comment on each other's clothes.

Finally found where they had checked the tunnels 'nearly to Rosemont'...p 66 of pdf 3 bottom of page:

"...We assisted them with searching surrounding wash and tunnels that extended almost to the intersection of E Broadway and N Rosemont..."

So they did search those tunnels and it looks like they did it with the dogs...
