I completely agree with you.
One of th reasons we always have a dog in our home. Even small dogs are great deterrents to intruders. Jmo

I think the hardest thing for me to recognize is the reality that we can't keep our children safe even in our own homes. We put a child to bed in our home and believe that they are safe and in our care. And it continues to happen to families who take great care of their children as well as those that live different lifestyles. No one is immune. It is so tragically sad that in our society we don't have the ability to protect our children. I grieve for our future when these things continue to happen and happen with more frequency.

Poor Bella. What may have been;and what could have been; we will never know.

BBM: Jessica Lunsford's bedroom was considered a crime scene because she disappeared from her room. They found a speck of dirt on her bed, which eventually matched up with John Cooey who was later arrested for her murder. FWIW

Thanks.

Yes, like I said previously all cases like this.... the home where the missing child resided was a crime scene since that is the place they were abducted from or last seen and a SW was done on the home.

imo

I am just appalled.....this is horrendous. another one?
I'm sorry, I have 3 kids, if anything like this happens to any of them, I will take the law into my own hands. I am so sick of ready about these stories.

We have two dogs but we rely on our alarm system because dogs are as unpredictable as human beings.

Unfortunately in many of these missing/abducted children cases there were dogs in the family home.

Jessica Lunsford had a dog in her home.

The Greone family had two aggressive large pit bulls inside of their home.

Yet the dogs did not alert. Dogs can sense evil too and be afraid themselves.

Joseph Duncan told Shasta he thought he was going to have to kill the two Greone dogs when he went inside but he said they did nothing but whimper and cry and hid up under the dining room table while he beat to death three people with a hammer and kidnapped Shasta and Dylan. He went in the home knowing full well that two pit bulls were inside. He had cased their place out with night vision goggles. The dogs didn't scare him one bit nor deter him.

And there have been several other cases where a child was abducted and the family had dogs.

IMO

WARRANT ARREST, BULLHEAD CITY — Justin James Rector, 25, was arrested Monday after he came to the police department lobby to turn himself in on an outstanding felony warrant for trespassing, criminal damage and disorderly conduct. He was taken to the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.

This is a general statement .. Not directed at anyone involved so I hope it's okay .. But I think adults in general are failing these kids. Whether family, neighbors, friends, state children's services , etc. In many cases, people come out telling what they know that possibly could prevent these tragedies IF acted on beforehand. Again, just my general opinion on many of these murdered children cases.

Was this person staying at this house too, with assorted people?

Do you have a link to that? I haven't been able to keep up 100%, but so far I only recall seeing JJR referred to as a friend, but did not see it specified that he was staying at Bella's house. Although, based on the early descriptions that Bella lived with her mother, stepfather and other individuals, it wouldn't surprise me. In any of JJR's previous arrest announcements, the articles only mentioned that he was picked up on a street or in a car and no home address was given.

ETA: plus. wasn't there a rumour floating around about a second house being cordoned off and the house was a foreclosure? Could he have crashed there? All wild speculation on my part.

I read he is an acquaintance but not necessarily living with them.

I'm searching , but I edited BC I posted without adding link ... Sorry :(

If JJR was a friend of the family's, he could have known there was a vacant house nearby.

The officer on NG said there was a man there who wasn't a real uncle, but was considered an uncle to Bella. Not sure if this is who he was speaking about though.

I am in :tears: as I write this post. I stepped away to watch cartoons with my girls on this last day of summer. They had to pry me away from WebSleuths, but it was the right thing to do, of course.

I saw Bella's thread had not been relocated, so I had a glimmer of hope, despite hearing the flurry of alerts an hour ago. Sadly, my heart is on a million pieces on the floor.

Little Bella isn't coming home. Instead, she has already left this earth, to fly high with the angels, her angel wings allowing her to soar, free from pain and hopefully in peace.

Why, why does this keep happening to our precious, innocent children? Why are they not safe and sound within their own homes? How many more cases must we sleuth together, in collective agony, before this madness stops?

I wish I had the answers. I know in my heart that this will not stop anytime soon, and it makes me sadder than anything I could ever put into words.

As I look at my own two girls, I can only shake my head and wonder. I pray I can continue to make the right choices, and keep them safe. I don't know what I would do without them.

Every child matters. Each one deserves to grow up, fulfill their potential and their destiny. Beautiful Isabella won't ever get that chance now, and my tears are for her and the countless others like her.

I am so sorry, Sweet One. You did not deserve this. You mattered to so many. I hope you know that now....

:heartluv:

Fly high....

:rose:

:candle:

Why do you think they have not identified the body yet? Is it because she is unidentifiable or is normal to wait for a while before identification?

Officers were observed escorting several family members to Bullhead Police Department headquarters late Tuesday evening for questioning.

Justin James Rector, 26, an acquaintance of the family, was arrested Tuesday night on an unrelated charge, reported Emily Fromelt, spokesperson for the Bullhead City Police Department. She said he was questioned in relation to the child's disappearance but would not state whether he is considered a suspect.

Horrible. Hope justice is swift and harsh.
