If Mike and Tina were in that car, why were the cell phones turned off and left in that car?
Were the phones placed there after the fact?
Where are the keys?
IMOO.

Good questions. It appears staged... To me.

IIRC, wasn't Tina's inheritance just a couple thousand dollars? I can't imagine a member of her family would kill her for that. Unless I'm wrong on the amount?

Maybe LC and/or others at the compound knew that M & T were headed to a risky/illegal business transaction. That's what the call seems like. There is concern over a known issue that isn't stated, IMO.

Near the end of the call he did ask the officer if they were going to send the description of his Dad's car to Chandler so they could look for it there, which I found odd. But most odd to me is why didn't the (adult) person who hired the PI call in the missing person's report? Why have a teenager handle something so critical? And who was told 'It's all good' before he heard the officer come on the line?

With this now being a criminal investigation will LE start searching in the desert?
IMOO.

I hope so. I just wonder where? There must be miles and miles of open desert I suppose. Does anyone know if dogs were used in the searches by friends?

I thought it was strange that he called 911 so I asked my 19 year old who she would call if she thought I was missing and she said 911 and they could direct her to the right people if they couldn't help.

I think LE will gather all the info they need and recover the bodies. I doubt there will be any searches. Once someone starts to talk, and they may have given this "new info", they'll know where they are.

2-2.5 hrs from Maricopa to Mexican Border at best. No way would any killer would travel across a international border crossing to dispose of 2 dead bodies when there is infinite miles of desert in between.

<modsnip>

I'm with you on that one 150%. It would be fairly easy to bury someone out there and not be seen. Especially if they are familiar with the area.

Does this "compound" have some sort of religious aspect?

I don't believe so. I know a gal who's parents have a good bit of land and money. They gave each kid some land and built a house for them and call it the family compound. I take it to mean it's family property that several family members have homes on. T and M were having a home built next door (from all reports) but it was burned down before completion.

I don't read anything unusual into the "compound" comment. MOO

It seems like someone hated them if only their house was burned down while living next to family. I will have to rethink suspects.

Let's talk ex spouses. Preferably Tinas ex. Is he still in the picture. Someone hated or needed both of them out of the way.

Pinal County Sheriff’s Office records show eight separate fires reported from Sept. 3 to Sept. 24, all within a two-mile radius of each other. Theirs was on the 24th.

The adult that hired the PI was Mike Perry, Tina's brother. I don't believe he knew they were missing when that 911 call was made. I thought that the PI said that Mike Perry arrived the next day.
The It's all Good comment was from Luke to the dispatcher, when Luke said Hello and the dispatcher said Sorry for that wait, how can I help you? And he says It's all Good.
IMOO.

ETA:
I listed to the 2 minute interview just now and Mike Perry contacted the PI on Tuesday.
On the 17 minute interview I thought it mentioned about Mike arriving the next day, unless I am mistaken and it was the PI arriving the next day... Or both! Sorry I might not have that info correct.

Like looking for a needle in a haystack. It's pretty remote to the west and the Reservation is to the south. Personally, I'd be looking for areas not far off of dirt roads which their Honda could navigate. If they are deceased it would be difficult to carry or drag two adults very far... Some of the roads are better suited for 4WD, so I'd stick to dirt roads that were remote but drivable. If that is where the investigation is leading.
This is speculation on my part and what I'd do in that area if I was searching for someone and suspected their vehicle used to transport.

I truly hope they are found alive, but as more time goes on, it doesn't look good.

I am not sure if this article has been linked. I found this part interesting

s it possible for a couple to run away? Yes," Hill said. "Is it likely without foul play? Not likely."

Hill said the FBI could get involved in the case if there was evidence the couple crossed state lines or crossed the border into Mexico.

**My opinion.. Almost like they planned this? For some reason and maybe family knows where they are?

It must have been financially hard on them. Cute couple not living the lifestyle that they expected after the fire with no insurance.

But i doubt they would go to Mexico. It is very dangerous right now. People are getting abducted by cops and gangs.

Why was the brother so quick to get a p.i. Who does he not trust. The p.i said that alot of them were not truthful. The brother waited no time. He seems strictly business.

He knows or suspected something or someone from before this happened.

There is no way, when I was 19, That is would be dialing 911 to report my parents missing if they were not home by 7 pm. I just wouldn't do it. The sun does not set until 7:40 this time of year. What was so suspicious that he dialed 911? The father didn't return his calls? He was with his wife, what would make him so concerned? I just don't get it.

Oh my goodness - thank you! I have been like a parrot on this subject. Yeah, he could have been worried because maybe he needed his dad, wanted to ask a question, get some money, etc., but what made him assume they were missing? They could have gone shopping or gone to dinner or ran some errands after the work day (IF Tina had to work - conflicting reports on that). Evidently there is a huge support group at that compound so why not start with them?

I don't remember, was the 911 call made before they found the car? If so, why would the kid say they were missing since 5am? How would he know WHAT time they went missing? If someone in the background was helping kud with info during call why wouldn't an adult just get on phone? Who lets a 17 year old place that call when so many grown ups around?

I had been leaning one way with this case but starting to think of another possibility. IF there is someone instructing him what to say, maybe the reason why that person didn't make the phone call himself/herself is because they were "missing".... Pure speculation on my part though.

I have wondered why the son knew they were missing too. But I think I understand how it might have happened.

If MC was going to an early meeting and then taking TC to work, wouldn't he be expected to come back home for awhile, until it was time to go pick her up? Maybe the son had been expecting him home all day, and got no response from either of the phones, and then found out she never went to work at all. I would call them in missing too at that point.
